Girl I just got accepted to Howard after being rejected earlier this month. I literally can’t believe it this my dream school😭 they really played with my emotions 😂 I can only imagine how they gonna be in the fall

@experience till this day I still don’t know when rd decisions came out I was not accepted but I passed my audition tape for the major I want to pursue. so like a few weeks after that I got a call literally in the middle of class and it was the teacher I audition for and he told me that my admissions decisions has been reversed and asked me if I would like to join them in the fall!!! It sounds crazy and I never heard of this happening before
Young lady thank you, everyone be safe, this worked for me. It is a charged environment of beautiful and intelligent people. Just be confident and at peace with who YOU are. Obtain a reliable contact in the Administrative building. Do not wait until senior year to obtain and secure a career. In sophomore year I received an internship with a company and secured my career in my second year.
Remember DC is unique in that international, private, public, and nonprofit all intersect at your doorstep. Bison family, good luck!

this was so insightful! i’m an incoming freshman from chicago; planning on major in political science and i’m so excited to go to howard. i haven’t committed yet because i’m trying to secure this 11k i still owe after getting a scholarship from howard. but i’m certain i’ll get the rest, but ahhh the excitement is at an all time high. cant wait to see you on campus if we’re actually there lol. ❤️💙❤️💙

This really helped, I am currently waiting to see if I get accepted into a PH.D program and this thought me a lot about Howard. I have been going to PW institutions my whole life so I’m so excited and nervous about attending an HBCU (if I get accepted)
I’m also worried about fitting in… I am pretty shy and not into partying so I hope I fit in 😅
Im a couple years late on commenting but tysm for this!!😭 I found out that I could graduate early 2 weeks into what was supposed to be my junior year so I had to start doing my college research earlier than expected.

hi! unfortunately I don't know too much about transfers. I believe there's an entire program to help with the transition tho.

Most of the tuition costs can be found on the Howard website. As far as applying, you would do it through the common app (your high school should be able to show you & set all this up) and you'd just go ahead and choose medicine on your application.

How is the work load/pace? Do you feel like you have to be catching up every time?
This answer is different for everyone. It depends on your major, how many credits you're taking & ultimately what type of student you are. Personally, I've found the workload to be very attainable. I find college to be way easier than high school.
Unfortunately, HBCU’s are notorious for the runaround.

@@MyaGuardino I was fortunate enough to experience an HBCU for undergrad and a WPI for graduate school. Believe me, it was the best of both worlds.
When in college is it recommended to have a job as well?
I wouldn't say it's necessarily "recommended" but most people just do what works best for them :)

Hey I have questions about film program what is it like? Because I got accepted to the program and I’m curious what it’s like
hey! the film program is great because for the first few courses, you're learning from a broad perspective of everything from film, journalism & the communication industry as a whole. Once you get into the more specific classes, you'll begin to learn everything from camera angles, to lighting, the pre & post production process.
