I just got accepted to Howard University last night, and it still feels so surreal that I can even say that I got accepted! I visited the school there times in middle school, and I watched so many CZcams videos since I was in 8th grade. Still waiting for that financial aid package, so hopefully, they come through with something good! I've also been subscribed to this channel since I was a Sophomore, and I watched all your Howard content and loved it. It is just crazy that I am watching some of these videos over again now that I have been accepted and might possibly attend in the Fall.

Wow. Howard has changed so much in a short period. I was there 07-11. Those new dorms werent around. We had drew meridian quad annex cook and towers. You just cant beat HU and that inclusive space. Truly a space for us.
it’s a shame i’m hu24 having to watch this cuz i still know nothing abt campus😭😭
I was thinking that! There's going to be basically 3 groups of students who don't know or barely got to experience Howard pre pandemic.. hu23, hu24 & hu25!
I'm in 8th grade but it is my absolute DREAM to go to HU! So seeing the tour is a great help. Thank you!

Nice tour. My nephew Pryce just graduated and his brother Reign is currently a frosh. I quiz them on the history of campus ( 75-79 alum ) suggestion : A building ( Administration building ) is the Mordecai Wyatt Johnson building. The Valley : nicknamed Death Valley because of the difficult science classes. Douglas Hall : Named for Frederick Douglas. Even the founder General Oliver O. Howard deserves mention etc. Students sometimes spend 4 years on campus with little knowledge of the campus’ history. All in all I love the tour. I can still remember when the Blackburn Center was completed my sophomore year ‘76-77. Seems like yesterday. HU! You Know!

That 6th street hill is nothing to play with cause whew!! I used to walk from the bottom all the way to the business school for class...

This was super helpful! I went on a tour the week before quarantine but we only saw a third of the campus.

Hi! Congratulations! No, you can't use the other dorm facilities on your own, however, if you had a friend who lived there, you'd be able to have them sign you in as a guest.

I’m between Howard and another school currently, do you honestly think students would be back on campus next year ?
I go back and forth about it tbh. I'm hopeful that they'll bring students back in a hybrid / virtual situation but I truly have no clue. I know they're testing out in person classes this summer & also planning for an in person graduation so that seems like a good start.
They had admitted students day today and they said that it is their intention to have all undergraduate students on campus for fall 2021 but the city of DC had to approve of there plans before they can move forward with information about housing. from the likes of it, it sounded very hopeful.
If you (or someone you know) is willing to give a walking tour like this in late Jume, please DM me. Bringing 3 highschoolers to DC from Texas and would love for them to see HU. (Happy to pay.)
I know some people are home right now / in the process of moving (me included) until August. I will keep an eye out and come back to this comment if anything changes.

why is the lake not safe ?
It's not a "popular" area or way to walk around campus so at night it can get a little sketchy. I know someone who had something thrown at them while walking it at night. The reservoir isn't even accessible, there's a fence blocking it so it's really just a part that could be avoided if need be.

Whats bison bucks?💞
Bison bucks is basically a debit card you can use on campus. You get a certain amount of money on the card based on your dining plan (you can add money if need be) and then use the card around campus. Places like the little store next to annex, the store in black burn & at the cafe in the A building. I believe you can use them at other locations in DC but I’m not 100% certain.
