Intro to X-Particles 2023 - What even is a particle???

This video is an introduction to the plugin for Cinema 4D X-Particles. It's the beginning of a series covering the basics of this powerful tool. The second half of the video is a quick demo and honestly is mostly a rendering with x-particles demo. I guess that's a bonus?

I would love for some Redshift Rendering Tutorials in the future! I also used to use Octane a lot in the past but it seems like most agencies are switching or already using Redshift nowadays since it's the standard render engine of Cinema 4D now as well 👍

Yea, I’m really still learning the ins and outs of Redshift myself, but I’ll definitely do stuff with both. Definitely finding things I like better in RS.

Very good! About which renderer we use - I used to love Redshift before it was acquired by Maxon, who have somehow made it slow and buggy - so it's Octane all the way.

Interesting. I’ve primarily been an Octane user but I’m finding some stuff works better w Redshift. Mostly things with refractive materials or volumes. Have you tried the newest version of RS in 2024? There is a huge boost in speed to it’s live viewer which was the hardest thing for me to deal with prior to this latest release.
