I have faced the same issue with IndiGo. Just imagine ur flight is being delayed for 13 hrs and after boarding the plane it's delayed again for 2 hrs with out AC for some godammn rules sweating and breathing co2. And this pilot is saying this idiotic comments.

In my opinion I would rather not fly than fly into a fog filled airport. Having said that, the airline should have known the delay could be long and let the passenger off the plane for a while.
U can't force someone to stay inside a closed plane/room for so long. If they wanted to leave for some emergency or their own reason they should have been allowed to leave. Dude. Cabin crew are also humans... They have been inside the plane for 13hrs just like the passengers. More over all those time they have been doing their duty to fulfill the passengers needs. The flight was delayed for the safety of the passengers. May be there was a problem with weather or a technical issue with the plane so it was the best decision to not take off the plane. Imagine they took off the plane regardless of all the issues and it end up in a tragedy? Yes 13hrs are too much. But if you want to take the plane you should be prepared for all kind of situations. People need to understand that the pilots and flight attendants are not responsible for flights getting delayed. My flight was delayed for 8 hours once and the attendant told me that they themselves had to sit around waiting for the higher ups to sort out the mess. The crew members were also stuck there. They do what they are told to do. It’s not like pilot was partying and forgot there was a flight. There are genuine reasons. Take it up with indigo management or file a case. Don’t slap the pilot whose life are in your hands. I can’t imagine what people like these do to poor drivers. And there were so many other people. Hundreds of people were stuck in that flight for 13 hours, and perhaps this incident may shed some light on that for the management to deal with. This is Indigo’s fault. There are several cases where other flights are operational but indigo is reporting delay due to bad weather. But the issue lies elsewhere

Also what I understood from the replies that some people mentioned suicide murder, where pilot deliberately crashes the plane because of stress, due to such thoughts the female air hostess started to panic and cry, which seems understandable. Someone also said that the pilot has filed a complaint against the man. But why against him? Why not against indigo who is the culprit for such a thing? Because the passenger hit pilot... if pilot is unhappy he will nose dive the aeroplane and kill all humans... also.. before starting a plane there will be around 20+ instruments to be checked everytime before they takeoff. so if pilot didn't check those out of frustration aeroplane may land in Arabian sea instead of Goa.. all these things popped up in her mind in split second so she started crying... additionally Indian pilots are not well trained they were playing pubg when they were teaching how to tackle different weather conditions... pilots know how to use Android phone but can't learn how to Operate autopilot systems electronics in aeroplane.... all these caused delay of flight.. :D

13 hr delay and expect people to stay calm, we don't know the entire picture. We have seen many instances when passenger behave like this but nobody ever care about what's going on for the past 13 hrs. Who is responsible for that? Weather, technical glitch, or what else. I have personally seen many instances where flight is getting delayed for more than 6 hr and the airline didn't take any care of the passengers. They, the airline, didn't even follow the guidline. The airline asked their passengers to go to boarding gate and there they announced that flight is delayed. And now the passengers who were waiting patiently in the lounges have to wait near boarding gate in the chilling winters. That is why this kind of things happen. Airlines should take the responsibility...

Did they thought that fog will go in 30 -45 mins and the visibility will change drastically? What the airline did to make sure that the passengers should not feel exhausted? And the first thing done by this guys was "Ya toh bahar nikal hume ya fir plan takeoff kar". This is more than enough to understand that these passengers were in the plane for more than expected time. Taking legal action on the guys is within the limits of legal rights of the airline but will the airline accept their mistake. I don't think so. This type of ridiculous situation is also becoming common in the US, even making passengers sit in fully loaded planes on the tarmac in summer heat for many hours with no aircon and no power. Planes should have a one hour limit on making passengers sit in a plane pre-takeoff. Otherwise, offload them to wait in the terminal and reboard them later. This issue is a problem of airline and airport management policy, not the flight crew who are equally miserable sitting there for hours on end.

Its not simple threat when someone comes charging at you unexpectedly there could have been a mob action because everyone’s emotions were high… Also most of these girls are college passouts ~ 20 yrs because when Aviation industry was setup MEN WANTED TO SEE YOUNG BODIES SERVING THEM FOOD … instead of mature wrinkly ladies. The flight MUST NOT keep passengers captive for 13 hours on board. The passengers MUST be sent back to the airport lounge after 2 or 3 hours late.

Also what I understood from the replies that some people mentioned suicide murder, where pilot deliberately crashes the plane because of stress, due to such thoughts the female air hostess started to panic and cry, which seems understandable.
Someone also said that the pilot has filed a complaint against the man.
But why against him? Why not against indigo who is the culprit for such a thing?
Ofc I understand that he is a employee but he also a right to question his superiors why such a thing happened that has caused such distress to him as well as his fellow passengers.

Because the passenger hit pilot... if pilot is unhappy he will nose dive the aeroplane and kill all humans... also.. before starting a plane there will be around 20+ instruments to be checked everytime before they takeoff. so if pilot didn't check those out of frustration aeroplane may land in Arabian sea instead of Goa.. all these things popped up in her mind in split second so she started crying... additionally Indian pilots are not well trained they were playing pubg when they were teaching how to tackle different weather conditions... pilots know how to use Android phone but can't learn how to Operate autopilot systems electronics in aeroplane.... all these caused delay of flight.. :D

13 hr delay and expect people to stay calm, we don't know the entire picture. We have seen many instances when passenger behave like this but nobody ever care about what's going on for the past 13 hrs. Who is responsible for that? Weather, technical glitch, or what else. I have personally seen many instances where flight is getting delayed for more than 6 hr and the airline didn't take any care of the passengers. They, the airline, didn't even follow the guidline. The airline asked their passengers to go to boarding gate and there they announced that flight is delayed. And now the passengers who were waiting patiently in the lounges have to wait near boarding gate in the chilling winters. That is why this kind of things happen. Airlines should take the responsibility...
It says delayed due to heavy fog in north and central India. In that case they can only fly when ATC allows them to fly right.

And agreed that the delay is due to fog then why they boarded the plan and forced passengers to sit in the plan? These kind of acts are done by airlines to only save money. I request you to read the DGCA guidelines. No one is fool to hit the pilot untill it's too much. Airline doesn't care about their passengers but money.

@@prayagvijayan6302 Yes, and in such situation, what is the responsibility of the airline? Did they provide the refreshment to the passengers? Why they boarded the plan when fog was still not clear? Did they thought that fog will go in 30 -45 mins and the visibility will change drastically? What the airline did to make sure that the passengers should not feel exhausted? And the first thing done by this guys was "Ya toh bahar nikal hume ya fir plan takeoff kar". This is more than enough to understand that these passengers were in the plane for more than expected time.
Just because someone doesn't act in the way which people don't like doesn't mean he is wrong. Taking legal action on the guys is within the limits of legal rights of the airline but will the airline accept their mistake. I don't think so. Indigo has made the monopoly in the domestic aviation industry and they are exploiting this.

This type of ridiculous situation is also becoming common in the US, even making passengers sit in fully loaded planes on the tarmac in summer heat for many hours with no aircon and no power. Planes should have a one hour limit on making passengers sit in a plane pre-takeoff. Otherwise, offload them to wait in the terminal and reboard them later. This issue is a problem of airline and airport management policy, not the flight crew who are equally miserable sitting there for hours on end.

Even a healthy person will develop claustrophobia related panic attacks if confined for so long.. and moreover, inability to stretch the limbs in the congested economy class( which is the majority). They should have atleast arranged a few sleeper buses near the aircraft!

Airlines wants to save money that's why they do such tactics. 13 hrs of flight delay, then u boarded the flight and then the crew shift changes and then again the new pilot says flight is delayed. It seems to be normal to u for some it's called mental harrasment. And just for ur information kid, there is a system in airline industry called fatigue risk management for flight crew. But there is no such guidelines for passengers... So mental fatigue can happens to anyone. Let it be passengers or crew.

They should have called the police and told them they are being held hostage against their will. A formal case can then be pursued and airline sued. Only after paying hefty fines will they learn.
