- In the UK, tri-service Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialists respond to an average eight callouts per day.
For the Armed Forces, its 'bomb squad' operators are constantly trained to be able to respond to a diverse range of potential explosives emergencies.
Forces News was granted exclusive access to their annual test exercise - which allows personnel to remain qualified and part of the team.

Great to see EOD being Championed by Forces News. A much under appreciated British Army Branch, of which, were so critical to British Operations in Afghanistan, whilst also being a vital capability to Today’s Asymmetric Battlefield!👍

Do the NZ troops demolitions teams train with you guys & IF NOT WHY NOT??? PLEASE ANSWER THANKS
No. Because 'demolitions' is not EOD in UK (although the 'school' is "DEMSS") Mind you, there was that one incident in Birmingham a few years ago ...

The host's voice.........

@@PhilipMcAuley-pt8dvRLC ammo techs and ATOs and royal engineer EOD and Search
Either RLC Ammo tech or Royal Engineers EOD&S (The operator in the video was RE)
11 EOD Regt RLC at Didcot even has its own trans gender soldier….very modern…😂….🏳️⚧️
and i expect that upsets you to no end because you're a snowflake
Wish you hadn't told us that!
@@marvinc9994 I met him/her last May at a recruiting event at Alexandra Palace……the young they were addressing were openly laughing and sneering! Our modern world. The army has always boasted that its soldiers are a direct reflection of the society from which they’re drawn!
@@marvinc9994 does it challenge your preconceptions? lets not loose sight of the fact that that individual has sworn an oath to risk thair life to protect yours!
@@Hurc7495 I spent 24 years in the army; a 2434 from 74 - 98….it doesn’t work like that. There is no place for those that don’t fit. It’s a shared social value system. It’s obvious you have never served.
Very interesting
Thankyou
