Great Channel enjoy the Vids but just as an FYi…. Since 2020 BMW went to HT-12 Coolant (Fluorescent Green Color) in both the High Temp and Low Temp Cooling systems, this Coolant can be used in Older BMWs but Old BMW coolant (Blue Color) ….cannot be mixed with Green and or Newer BMWs….” “.
Yep. You’re right. We ended up flushing the system with the correct fluid. The brownish coolant was obviously bad. The green was likely factory but we didn’t know for sure knowing the “quality” of products the previous place used. 👍
I love your videos.
I'm an Auto technician,I love the way you deal with your staff
Thank you! We’re all a team here ❤
I feel the exact same way, tech here as well. Way up in Illinois but I’d love to find a shop with the same camaraderie yours seems to have. Well done, sir 👍🏻
Thanks Jamie! I've learned my lesson with previous shops; ONLY Elite Motor Works for me, from now on!
Skirts and holes. Hmm...😂
I'm somewhat of a purist for parts and have been wrenching my own Mercedes for 35 years. I recently put Powerstop on my 2015 S550 (W222) because Akebono does not make them for this car. They are the best brake pads I've ever used and SUPER LOW dust. Lot's of opportunity for heat soaking here in the desert, but they just keep performing after repeated stops.
I am loving the vlog format interaction with the team at the shops
BMW switched to green coolant in 2018…..And if I’m not mistaken that looks like a G series front end so the green coolant is correct….also I can tell by the cap that it’s a B48 engine which does take green HT-12.
I believe Sy Syms came up with the phrase: "An educated consumer is our best customer."
Thanks for the tutorial, the fact that your customer agreed to, first, approve diag time to check out the wiring and, second, to approve the harness replacement is just crazy. I don't think people realize how much work can go into removing all those panels and dealing with an inoperable BMW folding hardtop. Awesome work and thanks for sharing the good content.
Lots of good info and qualified techs who know what they're doing!
I love when out side shop install skinny o ring on bmws oil filter, they make a good oil messs😢
Mate i love your videos. Keep doing it
Hey Jamie, great video! Just one small observation. The 2020 g20 BMW comes with HT-12 coolanr from the factory, which is green colored.
BMW switched to HT 12 somewhere around 2019.
Kudos ✌️
nothing is more expensive than taking your BMW to a non-BMW repair shop!!! EX random shop: "your BMW n52 has oil in the coolant the engine is dead you need a new one" BMW shop: "you have oil in the coolant on your N52. you need a new o ring on the oil cooler and flush the system. replace bad hoses"
I've got low dust pads that are standard on my Jaguar XE. Don't know who the OEM is though. But they really keep the wheels clean. 😉
I have a set of Powerstop Z23 pads on my wife’s B9 S5 and they are a huge improvement and almost dustless. We noticed the pads are slightly less grabby than the stock pads but that makes them a little smoother in operation
i wanna move to Florida just to get my car serviced by u guys. ur shops a dream
i thought the new BMW formula is green?? HT - 12
Yep. You’re right. HT-12 is green. This car had brown dirty coolant in the main system. The intercooler system might have been fine but we don’t know what the previous shop put in it. We mentioned blue coolant being the norm but green is correct for 2020 and newer.
Powertech are great! 😊
So far they’re working great!
I also have a Macan and the brake dust is crazy. Curious to hear your experience with these pads
It’s been great so far!
Where in Florida is your shop
How reliable is the Macan S? Looking to get one in the used market as well.
Get a 2019 or newer
Notification Squad!🔥🔥🔥
I can always count on you!! love it! Thanks
@@JamiesGarage1 it's great content man, i'm here for it 🙌🏼
arent powerstop brakes cheap eBay brakes?
Any tricks to keep rats from chewing wires?
According to the internet, natural repellents include Peppermint oil, cayenne pepper or cloves. Otherwise use traditional traps and repellents. Keep the area clean and free of food. Keep in a garage when possible. Last resort, sell your car and buy a bicycle. Lol
Dude why do rats/mice always go for wiring? As if it's not enough of an insult to have all their excrement in your car. I enjoy these longer videos, thank you.
Animals think that plastic is food
That Porsche is throwaway car in 10 years shame shame shame Porsche
