Keep in mind, none of this was actually real but rather a reflection of insecurities. So I don't think Beagle died, but rather... that was Kroos's biggest fear. They all LEFT to join Rhodes Island FOR beagle.
To further enhance my theory, in Nine-Colored Deer's personal cutscene, she has two memories. One where she is ostracized from the community she was helping, and another where she was accepted and loved. The accepted and loved memory was a fake experience given to her by Dusk for some closure, but it wasn't real. I think Dusk is more than capable enough to give people 'what if's' to test them, learn about them, or even help them with excessive baggage.
I believe that Kroos accidently shot Beagle during her fight with Fang which caused Fang to accidently kill Beagle instead of knocking her out as their countries are at war. This lead to Kroos and Fang having huge PTSD and guilt.
As Beagle's smile starts to fade away, the world lost one of it's heart. the once innocent child fighting the unforgiving world, fighting to see more than her smile, fighting for the future of everything. But she would not see it, she could only see the cruel world. _"If only the world was a better place"_
And to know that the BoC skin line is to show the operators at their peak, means that beagle was at her peak in her final test. A star burns brightest before it dies. Damn😰
I honestly think that Fang is just a red herring among all of these situations. It's so easy to conclude and point out Beagle's dead (or extreme injuries plsdontletherdie) on to Fang and while somehow that could be the case, it does not have a satisfying finality to it. Arknights... does not insult their player's intelligence, and I'm sure there's more to this than meets the eye.
Exactly!! It seems so unlike Arknights to just make the only other 3-Star mentioned in dialogue be the secret killer, especially with all the hints planted over pretty much a year... No, our story writers are better than this
@@QaiserMLG IMO, while making an 'unexpected' 3* the secret killer a rather 'Damn' move ("Someone else, far more powerful would be necessary to kill an elite operator" sorta argument), it could be a real heartbreaker, considering that almost everyone in the community deploys her (even to high risk events) and therefore 'attains' a sort of connection with her. This sort of connection (through interaction, be story only/gameplay) is the foundation in which why we lament Yelena's death and got real emotional at the birdie's song. A real twist to the bloody gut knife. So yeah, HG is sabotaging our tear ducts. We might have to brace ourselves(?).

We've had operators who started out as enemies and then joined us, so it would be interesting to see the opposite, where one of our operators leaves rhodes island to be an enemy
Considering how the Chernobog incident was referred to as such, not as Reunion Movement Uprising in Chernobog incident, I think the naming of such tragic events would prioritize the name of locations rather than name of perpetrators. Thus, the four letter redaction should be the name of the location where the operation wherein either Beagle or Fang died. I believe it was Fang who died in the hands of Dobemann, and Beagle was so devastated by the loss that she'd be on early retirement from the squad. Kroos upon seeing Beagle on that state would want to get her out of there, but the political ramifications of such actions would cost Rhodes Island dearly. After all, they were in a rearguard action. Retreating from there before an order to do so is given means desertion. Rhodes Island is a "pharmaceutical company", and definitely not a mercenary guild, after all. If Dokutah and Amiya were there, I think they'd want to extract the squad from that situation too. There would be considerable losses for them if they joined in (including innocent civilians and R.I. operators), as such it would be treated as a tragic incident. Heck, Dobermann might not even survive the encounter. Still, Beagle will be out of action regardless (either KiA, MiA or simply dead inside). But that's just a theory.
I think you're right with that, and if Fang died (by either protecting her former squadmate Beagle, or by other means) it would explain why Kroos has Fang's necklace. Kroos didn't want to leave the scene but had to, for fear of political ramifications, but she might have taken Fang's necklace to remember her by. OR maybe Fang did wound/kill Beagle but Beagle killed her first, so Fang still died (and was a traitor) and Beagle was left to bleed out, hence why Kroos wanted to help rather than mourn. I hope that's less likely though

I really love lore and the depth in AK but as mortal as i am sometimes i just hardly understand anything so i very thankful for people like you exist and make this great lore more easier to understand and enjoyed. Now that I think about it, many of AK's stories do have some degree of cliffhangers, even to those who have concluded everything. But perhaps this is just HG's way of creating more story content without making a story out of the blue that just made it connected with a previous story. And btw, this is the first time that I heard of skins having quotes. so thanks for bringing that up.
Something that picked my interest was the Tutorial stage on Who is Real. Lava instantly realizes she is dreaming as soon as she sees Beagle, and not only that, Beagle is deployed facing upwards, which is a pretty weird position for a Defender, specially in a tutorial, where she is auto-deployed, and the enemies are coming from the right.
@@zenith5714 Kroos faces upwards cuz her old self died when she accidently shot Beagle during a conflict that Kroos wanted to resolve peacefully. She suffers huge guilt and PTSD over it.
Another line of thought that could save everyone brain cells is that the "Blank" incident could just be named NPCs , much like Mabel aka Bluishsilver who gave her life during chapter 8 while carrying out her duties as part of Rosmontis squad. Something we often forget is that Rhodes Island's field operators are not just the ones we can use in-game. There are easily hundreds of NPC operators not shown in the game, example being Mudrock's squad being inducted into Rhodes Island after the whole Wolumonde incident.
Absolutely true, there’s a few hundred combat operators and easily over a thousand civilians on our Landship, not to forget the countless people working in our Safehouses around the world... But I still think that in the context of the other hints given to us it relates to someone we already know
And what would happen if it is actually totally the other way around? What if beagle killed Doberman? Although the event gives us pieces of information that lead to a sad event, they are still data that still do not assure anything, perhaps she managed to defeat her instructor in her "final test" and what Kroos sees is a poor beagle regretting that outcome. At the end of the day, the theories are there for us to do a bit of mental exercise and bet to see who got it right in the end.
Still I believe Beagle will not die and everything was only a bad dream about past. And I couldn't believe if my lovely Fang could betray someone. I really enjoy your videos, so I choose to support you a little.

Again, I think that Bolivar will become a turning point for the story. Either because of the traitor, or because we will somehow manage to change what is going to happen, or at the very least try to.

It doesn't have to be a traitor. The countries were at war, Beagle and Fang's countries are fighting. Thus they left RI to fight for their homeland which lead them into conflict. Kroos accidently shoots one with one, or both, dying in the conflict.
SilverAsh did warn us that one day in the future, if the interests weren't aligned anymore, SA could be our (or RI) enemy. That's honestly a scary thought.
Honestly, this is very interesting and my anxiety is killing me to know what happens. I have agonized over Beagles's death for a few weeks now and I still feel very bad for her, I care way too much for the operators, no matter who they are and if I even use them. God, the gut-wrenching feeling of knowing Beagle could be dead in the future hurts me. I have had Fang as the assistant for a long time, I'm probably one of the 10 people that actually love Fang's design and free outfit. I have changed assistances over and over but have always go back to Fang. Amazing video man!
Honestly same, on the surface Rhodes Island seems like that big family, adopting good people from all around the world, and the possibility of one of them being gone really hurts PS: I also really like Fangs Design

Since no one is pointing it out, when Kroos said to Beagle in her *dream* "why are you still wearing your Rhodes Island OUTFIT" the reddish doggo was wearing the trainee outfit (not made for combat only) and not the BoC skin which has the RI logo on the shoulder pad (the skin is manufactured by RI so is an official RI outfit designed only for combat). My point is either devs were too lazy to put the actual skin in the dialog (confirming deadly theories) or Beagle actually survived her "final test" but had to retire prematurely from combat operations anyway (got crippled, traumatized, you name it) and picked the trainee outfit because is really comfortable (depicted in the base skin description), can be used for daily life purposes and as a way to feel "connected" to RI, namely her teammates or she still works at RI but in "passive" jobs
I wanted to add a small detail. In Lava the Purgatory’s clinical analysis, it’s written her trainer is someone named „Pith”, not Dobermann, reinforcing the theory that she spent some time under someone else’s guidance

3:09 What Nian is saying isn't directed towards Dusk. She's explaining that Dusk is simply making an illusion that mimics a time loop. Dusk sees how the operator's life starts and ends, then plays specific events over and over again.
On a heavier note, there are still some little loopholes, and here's my own speculations and questions to fill them in the meantime: > What if the dialogues that could be Kroos' flashbacks weren't a continuous dialogue, but two separate events? This is what I speculate whom the speakers of the dialogue will be: - See you. We'll meet again (Possibly Kroos, bidding farewell to Fang when she's about to go out of Columbia after visiting her) - You know that's not how things will end. - What you will face on the path ahead will be far worse. (Possibly Fang) Above is Scene 1 And below is Scene 2 -..... (The killer / the one who COULD HAVE killed Fang, and might also kill Beagle) - I...knew you'd be here. Sorry, but I won't let you pass no matter what. (Beagle) I'm pumped with adrenaline predicting this scene, but the A1 team might've had experienced two different incidents instead of just one. 1. Fang incident (the possible redacted name), which forced all of them to grow up. Don't get mad at me, but I feel like Fang's going to die first, if there is a possibility of operators dying. 2. Then the second is with Beagle, facing the killer. These two scenes happened in separate timelines, since the departure of Fang was when Beagle was in Bolivar with her youthful and nerdy self (trainee days), then the latter with her having the elite status and matured stature with her skin as a proof. This is where it gets deeper. To place one of Qaiser's explanation to the relation of the trio in one of the story fragments (Dobermann, Beagle, and Fang), the three had a conversation about Dobermann's profession and Fang carried the convo with curiosity and skepticism. Fang must've known something about the instructor or the country that their instructor is serving (Columbia) which then became a threat. This might be one of the most cruel possibilities, but I'll try to connect it with Qaiser's: What if Instructor Dobermann was the one who could've possibly killed Fang? Both Fang and Beagle are close to each other but are immigrants and unwanted, why would Fang go back to Columbia if that is the case? I see one plausible reason: Fang must've found something that she couldn't turn her back into which relates to either Dobermann or to the government, forcing Dobermann to kill Fang. Fang might've known her fate in Columbia, thus giving one of her chest rings to Kroos when she visited Fang, as a proof that she'll be with the team even when she's gone, and the dialogue. This, then forced them to think maturely and act maturely, having Beagle with one of the greatest emotional damage as Fang's best friend, thus losing her smile. Everyone in the A1 is of course devastated at the loss of someone, never again wanting that to happen, but life doesn't come that easy. So they faced forward, growing to be elite operators. Dobermann must've been gone to the Rhodes Island at this point. I suppose Bolivar and Columbia could be at war with each other in the future, there's no other way for Beagle to confront her best friend's killer other than to fight them on the other side (Bolivar), more reason to suspect Dobermann whose side is in Columbia. Knowing Beagle, she faced Doberman, shield forward, old ally, current opponent. She ran to challenge her old instructor and prove her growth, and carelessly stepped on a landmine and offed herself. That aside, Beagle was one of my MVP's when I started the game and the first operator who I promoted. Although I don't use her anymore, having Hoshi, Mudrock, Nian, I still bought her this grownup skin out of gratitude for carrying me.

Arknights Fandom site stated it happened because of the illusion of Dusk's painting, so it can be considered as non-canon, same as Ceobe's death on Fungi Mist.... Dunno which is true...
Btw fact that some of operators probably will die make sense to me - arknights universe is dark and cruel, in my opinion there should be no too much plot armor on our operators, and Beagle is best candidate to die, she was clumsy, and weakest amongst her team, she has mature skin, instead of alter, she can be used as boost to few characters story progress, and she has pretty big fanbase(supriengly) so her death will cause emotional impact on many players
Man playing this game is also like reading a manga. It's got alot of very interesting storylines indeed. That's why I stayed in this game for almost a year now.
Hard to say Beagle was killed in Bolivar but gone missing at least. She may survived but stuck in Bolivar and RI couldn't do anything (yet) to help her out. Or i'd say i just dont want to believe that Doberman killed Beagle, and maybe Fang as well.
Kroos's Keen Glint archives reveal that her blue-on-blue was not a fatality, but it scarred her heart. So first she accidentally shoots Fang, and now Beagle gets into a incident?! Please don't leave our sad rabbit alone in the world ;_;
If you remember the stage TR-7 you get to see Fang being deployed to fight a Junkman alone without allowing us to retreat her so that our Sussy instructor can demonstrate the power of the Junkman. You may think this is just some coincidence but wat’s even more interesting is that after we clear the stage we get one origium and... Beagle. Is this some sort foreshadowing ?
There's a lot of good points brought up, but I'd like to point out some more: - Since you yourself brought up that the two parts of Kroos' dream should be quite a bit of time apart, there's actually not much point in bringing up Beagle wondering what Fang is up to during vacation. Anything could have happened in between. - The 'I won't let you pass' quote appeared at the end of the first part of Kroos' dream. Why would Kroos know those words if she had to keep her distance from Beagle at her so-called last stand ? Did she hear it when she approached the scene or were those words actually directed to Kroos ? - Nian saying 'Couldn't you have picked a better ending ?' implies Kroos could have changed events. The dream being split in two could mean that the turning point existed in the first part. Could something have changed if Kroos didn't leave for Columbia or instead took Beagle with her ? That would make the significance of the first part clear. The end of part one implies that might have been the last time Kroos saw Beagle in peaceful circumstances. Beagle's house wasn't in Columbia, so where else could she have wanted a house ? Bolivar ? - We don't actually know what side RI was standing on in part two or what the Bolivarian army was up against but the way they treated Beagle made it sound like Beagle's actions were beyond RI's orders. Did she take the side of the army or its enemy ? - What was happening at the end of part two didn't actually have to be the same as the scene in Beagle's skin. Kroos said 'You want me to stand by and watch her-' and the popular thought is that Kroos wanted to say 'watch her die' or something similar. However what if what caused Kroos distress wasn't that Beagle might die, but that Beagle might do something questionable that leads into the last stand ? - Dobermann has been on two of the three sides of the Bolivarian conflict and decided she liked her time in neither of them. She'll come back eventually, but it's questionable that she wants a third try in a military and it seems that all the comrades she mentioned are dead. Like how most story events start though, she can still end up in Bolivar for one reason or another.
It doesn't make sense for the Rhodes Island Guard to say "there's nothing we can do for her." if she were merely badly injured. It sounds very much like "she" (assuming it was Beagle) had died, and the Guard wanted Kroos to return to Rhodes Island instead of seeking vengeance for the dead.
Ah... it makes sense why Beagle gets an "alter" skin, and not a _real_ 5-star alter like Lava. Because she didn't survive her final test to become an elite operator. :(
I don't believe that Beagle will die or soon to die, but know this. Dusk powers over painting to manipulate reality, to alter someones experiences, menories, things they fear or regert. Simply power of controlling dimension, to degenerate them or make them as she sees fit, or twist their memories. I called Saga when she got out world painting by herself, mentioned her other self has excessive gambling. Dusk might try alter Kroos memories, her experiences in her past.
I would like to think that beagle is not dead but left severely injured/crippled and comatose or vegetative state. Would be dark to have Doberman do that but not too dark. Doberman left and joined the resistance once so I doubt she would go back to serving the Bolivar military, and because of Beagle’s roots from Bolivar she might be the one fighting for Bolivar, due to family circumstances or something. The skin just says she’s a rearguard in the March of Bolivar, but doesn’t say which side she was on. I mean Beagle’s parents moved out (she’s a child of immigrants) so it might not be that, idk. I think the thing that makes this so good, is that we have a HIGH chance of actually exploring this story. We are getting Victoria chapter some time in the future, which means we are going to explore how we get to know Reed and why Bagpipe and her must not meet each other. Man, the hidden stories in the Bloodline of Combat series is so amazing.
About Fang's ring. Fang was listed as MIA, so I don't think Kroos would know if Fang was traitor or not. I don't think she has Fang's ring just because she is missing and she found something to remember her
What if that, while Beagle is confronting Dobberman in the civil war, Kroos wanted to go help Beagle, but then Fang decided to be the one who help beagle alone, and ordered all RI op to immediately evacuate, giving Kroos her memento and made a promise to bring Beagle back and essentially went MIA with Beagle. Either it has been months or years after they went MIA without contact, and Kroos still believes that they're alive and will come back, while Lava believes that they're already dead, being the only squad member who wasn't there at the time(?) :'(
Beagle did not die . Dusk's paintings can show alternative realities / dreams which she uses to make people reflect on themselves and such ; this is the case of Mr Nothing and what COULD have happened if he kept on pursuing his path of revenge . In the end that is not the case as Nothing simply decides to join Rhodes Island after waking up from the dream . What Kroos experienced right there was merely a nightmare , though I don't quite know what Dusk wanted to make her think about . As for Beagle's skin , I think that's simply a "This is her final trial before she does actually become an elite op" , I wouldn't read *too much* into it . For as much as it concerns Purgatory's files instead...4 letters could indicate anyone ( Fang is one option but the files might refer to Dusk / Nian as well or to other ops ) . As Nian says , Dusk could have picked a better dream .
Actually Dobermann theory is more make a sense than Fang Theory Because the three of them is already together before they re joining Rhodes Island, so there's no way a cool and awakward girl, is betraying her friends
another painful story would add more depth to AK's bittersweet coffee that being said, I too hope that we'd somehow get a happy ending for Lava and company
Hey I just saw your video on Bilibili and I just wanna let you know that the original script for ‘final test’ in Chinese “考验” has already had the meaning of ‘final battle’, so I assume that it’s just a translation problem, don’t follow it through. Anyway I think your theory is really interesting and awesome, before your explanation I always thought that Fang was behind all this, it’s so nice to hear another theory that makes sense. Remember "Test" collection? I wonder why they even give such a weird name for skins related to mundane real life jobs. It makes me wonder if there's gonna be a new skin for this brand but is named "The Soldier" and it somehow ties to Bolivar incidents.
Also, I think it's possible Kroos' ear piece might come from Fang but as a sign that she will be the one to look after what remains of their team. Hence, why she took the whole idea of "slacking off will cause your life one day in the future" so seriously.
My theorie is that Beagle is actually out of it. She may have quit, she may be injured for life, but i do no think she died. Dobberman could be the traitor, I could see that, but i think the one that died was actually Fang. Which is why Kroos is wearing a memento from her an not from Beagle. Food for thoughts

Or you could be right AND wrong at the same time. You're right that Dobermann did kill someone after she finally returns to Bolivaria, BUT that person is not Beagle. It's Fang. Dobermann might have ties to Bolivaria, but she wouldn't have any reason to kill her squad. She probably left her squad to take back her homeland and told her squad to "don't try to stop me or follow me". Fang, being the skeptic she is, tried to bring their instructor back. This is the speculative background. Beagle, knowing Fang would come there, tried to stop her from chasing after Dobermann, but she failed and Fang went to Bolivaria anyway. The text in Beagle's costume can refer to test of will or test of power or test of friendship to see if she can stop Fang. This is not an indicator set in stone that only Dobermann can give her this test. In Bolivaria, Fang tried to convince Dobermann to abandon the civil war. At this point, Dobermann either killed Fang, or she was caught in the crossfire. Fang ends up fatally injured and found by Kroos. This would also explain why Kroos has Fang's memento. It fits better than the "Dobermann killed Beagle" or "Fang killed Beagle" theory, because if Fang really killed Beagle, then Kroos wouldn't want to wear a traitor's memento, and if Fang didn't die, then why would she give her ring accessory to Kroos?
I may be mistaken in this interpretation, but the Beagle event in Bolivar might yet to have happen in the Who is Real Timeframe as Dusk's paintings take the past and shape the future inside the painting based on it. The past with young Beagle is what happened and the Bolivar incident is the proposed future. In Mr. Nothing's dream, we had his encounter with the Rat King and then in the proposed future he defeated his enemies but died when returning to Lungmen. Although, the incident in Bolivar does seem inevitable, as it is an incident written down in Purgatory's files.

Hot take I think Kroos is wearing Fangs Necklace because she died during a Reserve Ops mission and Kroos blames herself (Kroos Alter Files), and Beagle was killed by Dobermann or atleast they fought in Bolivar. Hibiscus has her Alter out on CN and Im guessing the other two memebers will not be receiving Alters because they might not be alive after Time Skip. Dobermann alter when?
I never got interested in Arknights, it isn't my style when I all want is that one waifu that hook me in. But damn, this is really interesting to me, more for the mistery than for the death itself (because I never used Beagle to begin with). Good video 10/10

Keep in mind, none of this was actually real but rather a reflection of insecurities. So I don't think Beagle died, but rather... that was Kroos's biggest fear. They all LEFT to join Rhodes Island FOR beagle.

To further enhance my theory, in Nine-Colored Deer's personal cutscene, she has two memories. One where she is ostracized from the community she was helping, and another where she was accepted and loved. The accepted and loved memory was a fake experience given to her by Dusk for some closure, but it wasn't real. I think Dusk is more than capable enough to give people 'what if's' to test them, learn about them, or even help them with excessive baggage.
I believe that Kroos accidently shot Beagle during her fight with Fang which caused Fang to accidently kill Beagle instead of knocking her out as their countries are at war. This lead to Kroos and Fang having huge PTSD and guilt.
This is quite plausible in my opinion. And probably this is what the writters/devs want and maybe Beagle and Fang Alt would be possible in the future

I honestly think that Fang is just a red herring among all of these situations. It's so easy to conclude and point out Beagle's dead (or extreme injuries plsdontletherdie) on to Fang and while somehow that could be the case, it does not have a satisfying finality to it. Arknights... does not insult their player's intelligence, and I'm sure there's more to this than meets the eye.
Exactly!! It seems so unlike Arknights to just make the only other 3-Star mentioned in dialogue be the secret killer, especially with all the hints planted over pretty much a year...

@@QaiserMLG IMO, while making an 'unexpected' 3* the secret killer a rather 'Damn' move ("Someone else, far more powerful would be necessary to kill an elite operator" sorta argument), it could be a real heartbreaker, considering that almost everyone in the community deploys her (even to high risk events) and therefore 'attains' a sort of connection with her. This sort of connection (through interaction, be story only/gameplay) is the foundation in which why we lament Yelena's death and got real emotional at the birdie's song. A real twist to the bloody gut knife.
So yeah, HG is sabotaging our tear ducts. We might have to brace ourselves(?).

Considering how the Chernobog incident was referred to as such, not as Reunion Movement Uprising in Chernobog incident, I think the naming of such tragic events would prioritize the name of locations rather than name of perpetrators. Thus, the four letter redaction should be the name of the location where the operation wherein either Beagle or Fang died.
I believe it was Fang who died in the hands of Dobemann, and Beagle was so devastated by the loss that she'd be on early retirement from the squad. Kroos upon seeing Beagle on that state would want to get her out of there, but the political ramifications of such actions would cost Rhodes Island dearly. After all, they were in a rearguard action. Retreating from there before an order to do so is given means desertion. Rhodes Island is a "pharmaceutical company", and definitely not a mercenary guild, after all.
If Dokutah and Amiya were there, I think they'd want to extract the squad from that situation too. There would be considerable losses for them if they joined in (including innocent civilians and R.I. operators), as such it would be treated as a tragic incident. Heck, Dobermann might not even survive the encounter. Still, Beagle will be out of action regardless (either KiA, MiA or simply dead inside).
But that's just a theory.

I think you're right with that, and if Fang died (by either protecting her former squadmate Beagle, or by other means) it would explain why Kroos has Fang's necklace. Kroos didn't want to leave the scene but had to, for fear of political ramifications, but she might have taken Fang's necklace to remember her by.
OR maybe Fang did wound/kill Beagle but Beagle killed her first, so Fang still died (and was a traitor) and Beagle was left to bleed out, hence why Kroos wanted to help rather than mourn. I hope that's less likely though

Now that I think about it, many of AK's stories do have some degree of cliffhangers, even to those who have concluded everything. But perhaps this is just HG's way of creating more story content without making a story out of the blue that just made it connected with a previous story.

Something that picked my interest was the Tutorial stage on Who is Real. Lava instantly realizes she is dreaming as soon as she sees Beagle, and not only that, Beagle is deployed facing upwards, which is a pretty weird position for a Defender, specially in a tutorial, where she is auto-deployed, and the enemies are coming from the right.

@@zenith5714 Kroos faces upwards cuz her old self died when she accidently shot Beagle during a conflict that Kroos wanted to resolve peacefully. She suffers huge guilt and PTSD over it.
Another line of thought that could save everyone brain cells is that the "Blank" incident could just be named NPCs , much like Mabel aka Bluishsilver who gave her life during chapter 8 while carrying out her duties as part of Rosmontis squad.
Something we often forget is that Rhodes Island's field operators are not just the ones we can use in-game. There are easily hundreds of NPC operators not shown in the game, example being Mudrock's squad being inducted into Rhodes Island after the whole Wolumonde incident.
Absolutely true, there’s a few hundred combat operators and easily over a thousand civilians on our Landship, not to forget the countless people working in our Safehouses around the world... But I still think that in the context of the other hints given to us it relates to someone we already know

And what would happen if it is actually totally the other way around? What if beagle killed Doberman? Although the event gives us pieces of information that lead to a sad event, they are still data that still do not assure anything, perhaps she managed to defeat her instructor in her "final test" and what Kroos sees is a poor beagle regretting that outcome.
At the end of the day, the theories are there for us to do a bit of mental exercise and bet to see who got it right in the end.

It doesn't have to be a traitor. The countries were at war, Beagle and Fang's countries are fighting. Thus they left RI to fight for their homeland which lead them into conflict. Kroos accidently shoots one with one, or both, dying in the conflict.
If they make any character go from operator to enemy( and probably boss fight) that opens a lot of possibilities for future stories.
That's actually really possible idea. We already have characters go from enemies to our operators so.. I don't see why we won't get the opposite 👀

Honestly, this is very interesting and my anxiety is killing me to know what happens. I have agonized over Beagles's death for a few weeks now and I still feel very bad for her, I care way too much for the operators, no matter who they are and if I even use them. God, the gut-wrenching feeling of knowing Beagle could be dead in the future hurts me. I have had Fang as the assistant for a long time, I'm probably one of the 10 people that actually love Fang's design and free outfit. I have changed assistances over and over but have always go back to Fang. Amazing video man!
Honestly same, on the surface Rhodes Island seems like that big family, adopting good people from all around the world, and the possibility of one of them being gone really hurts

Since no one is pointing it out, when Kroos said to Beagle in her *dream* "why are you still wearing your Rhodes Island OUTFIT" the reddish doggo was wearing the trainee outfit (not made for combat only) and not the BoC skin which has the RI logo on the shoulder pad (the skin is manufactured by RI so is an official RI outfit designed only for combat). My point is either devs were too lazy to put the actual skin in the dialog (confirming deadly theories) or Beagle actually survived her "final test" but had to retire prematurely from combat operations anyway (got crippled, traumatized, you name it) and picked the trainee outfit because is really comfortable (depicted in the base skin description), can be used for daily life purposes and as a way to feel "connected" to RI, namely her teammates or she still works at RI but in "passive" jobs

3:09 What Nian is saying isn't directed towards Dusk. She's explaining that Dusk is simply making an illusion that mimics a time loop. Dusk sees how the operator's life starts and ends, then plays specific events over and over again.
On a heavier note, there are still some little loopholes, and here's my own speculations and questions to fill them in the meantime:

This is what I speculate whom the speakers of the dialogue will be:
- See you. We'll meet again (Possibly Kroos, bidding farewell to Fang when she's about to go out of Columbia after visiting her)

- What you will face on the path ahead will be far worse.

I'm pumped with adrenaline predicting this scene, but the A1 team might've had experienced two different incidents instead of just one.
1. Fang incident (the possible redacted name), which forced all of them to grow up. Don't get mad at me, but I feel like Fang's going to die first, if there is a possibility of operators dying.
2. Then the second is with Beagle, facing the killer.
These two scenes happened in separate timelines, since the departure of Fang was when Beagle was in Bolivar with her youthful and nerdy self (trainee days), then the latter with her having the elite status and matured stature with her skin as a proof.
This is where it gets deeper.
To place one of Qaiser's explanation to the relation of the trio in one of the story fragments (Dobermann, Beagle, and Fang), the three had a conversation about Dobermann's profession and Fang carried the convo with curiosity and skepticism. Fang must've known something about the instructor or the country that their instructor is serving (Columbia) which then became a threat. This might be one of the most cruel possibilities, but I'll try to connect it with Qaiser's: What if Instructor Dobermann was the one who could've possibly killed Fang? Both Fang and Beagle are close to each other but are immigrants and unwanted, why would Fang go back to Columbia if that is the case?
I see one plausible reason: Fang must've found something that she couldn't turn her back into which relates to either Dobermann or to the government, forcing Dobermann to kill Fang.
Fang might've known her fate in Columbia, thus giving one of her chest rings to Kroos when she visited Fang, as a proof that she'll be with the team even when she's gone, and the dialogue. This, then forced them to think maturely and act maturely, having Beagle with one of the greatest emotional damage as Fang's best friend, thus losing her smile. Everyone in the A1 is of course devastated at the loss of someone, never again wanting that to happen, but life doesn't come that easy. So they faced forward, growing to be elite operators. Dobermann must've been gone to the Rhodes Island at this point.
I suppose Bolivar and Columbia could be at war with each other in the future, there's no other way for Beagle to confront her best friend's killer other than to fight them on the other side (Bolivar), more reason to suspect Dobermann whose side is in Columbia.

Knowing Beagle, she faced Doberman, shield forward, old ally, current opponent. She ran to challenge her old instructor and prove her growth, and carelessly stepped on a landmine and offed herself.
That aside, Beagle was one of my MVP's when I started the game and the first operator who I promoted. Although I don't use her anymore, having Hoshi, Mudrock, Nian, I still bought her this grownup skin out of gratitude for carrying me.

Btw fact that some of operators probably will die make sense to me - arknights universe is dark and cruel, in my opinion there should be no too much plot armor on our operators, and Beagle is best candidate to die, she was clumsy, and weakest amongst her team, she has mature skin, instead of alter, she can be used as boost to few characters story progress, and she has pretty big fanbase(supriengly) so her death will cause emotional impact on many players
Man playing this game is also like reading a manga. It's got alot of very interesting storylines indeed. That's why I stayed in this game for almost a year now.

Kroos's Keen Glint archives reveal that her blue-on-blue was not a fatality, but it scarred her heart.

If you remember the stage TR-7 you get to see Fang being deployed to fight a Junkman alone without allowing us to retreat her so that our Sussy instructor can demonstrate the power of the Junkman. You may think this is just some coincidence but wat’s even more interesting is that after we clear the stage we get one origium and... Beagle. Is this some sort foreshadowing ?

There's a lot of good points brought up, but I'd like to point out some more:
- Since you yourself brought up that the two parts of Kroos' dream should be quite a bit of time apart, there's actually not much point in bringing up Beagle wondering what Fang is up to during vacation. Anything could have happened in between.
- The 'I won't let you pass' quote appeared at the end of the first part of Kroos' dream. Why would Kroos know those words if she had to keep her distance from Beagle at her so-called last stand ? Did she hear it when she approached the scene or were those words actually directed to Kroos ?
- Nian saying 'Couldn't you have picked a better ending ?' implies Kroos could have changed events. The dream being split in two could mean that the turning point existed in the first part. Could something have changed if Kroos didn't leave for Columbia or instead took Beagle with her ? That would make the significance of the first part clear. The end of part one implies that might have been the last time Kroos saw Beagle in peaceful circumstances. Beagle's house wasn't in Columbia, so where else could she have wanted a house ? Bolivar ?
- We don't actually know what side RI was standing on in part two or what the Bolivarian army was up against but the way they treated Beagle made it sound like Beagle's actions were beyond RI's orders. Did she take the side of the army or its enemy ?
- What was happening at the end of part two didn't actually have to be the same as the scene in Beagle's skin. Kroos said 'You want me to stand by and watch her-' and the popular thought is that Kroos wanted to say 'watch her die' or something similar. However what if what caused Kroos distress wasn't that Beagle might die, but that Beagle might do something questionable that leads into the last stand ?
- Dobermann has been on two of the three sides of the Bolivarian conflict and decided she liked her time in neither of them. She'll come back eventually, but it's questionable that she wants a third try in a military and it seems that all the comrades she mentioned are dead. Like how most story events start though, she can still end up in Bolivar for one reason or another.

It doesn't make sense for the Rhodes Island Guard to say "there's nothing we can do for her." if she were merely badly injured. It sounds very much like "she" (assuming it was Beagle) had died, and the Guard wanted Kroos to return to Rhodes Island instead of seeking vengeance for the dead.

I don't believe that Beagle will die or soon to die, but know this. Dusk powers over painting to manipulate reality, to alter someones experiences, menories, things they fear or regert. Simply power of controlling dimension, to degenerate them or make them as she sees fit, or twist their memories. I called Saga when she got out world painting by herself, mentioned her other self has excessive gambling. Dusk might try alter Kroos memories, her experiences in her past.
I would like to think that beagle is not dead but left severely injured/crippled and comatose or vegetative state. Would be dark to have Doberman do that but not too dark. Doberman left and joined the resistance once so I doubt she would go back to serving the Bolivar military, and because of Beagle’s roots from Bolivar she might be the one fighting for Bolivar, due to family circumstances or something. The skin just says she’s a rearguard in the March of Bolivar, but doesn’t say which side she was on. I mean Beagle’s parents moved out (she’s a child of immigrants) so it might not be that, idk. Quite intriguing

I think the thing that makes this so good, is that we have a HIGH chance of actually exploring this story. We are getting Victoria chapter some time in the future, which means we are going to explore how we get to know Reed and why Bagpipe and her must not meet each other. Man, the hidden stories in the Bloodline of Combat series is so amazing.
About Fang's ring. Fang was listed as MIA, so I don't think Kroos would know if Fang was traitor or not. I don't think she has Fang's ring just because she is missing and she found something to remember her

What if that, while Beagle is confronting Dobberman in the civil war, Kroos wanted to go help Beagle, but then Fang decided to be the one who help beagle alone, and ordered all RI op to immediately evacuate, giving Kroos her memento and made a promise to bring Beagle back and essentially went MIA with Beagle. Either it has been months or years after they went MIA without contact, and Kroos still believes that they're alive and will come back, while Lava believes that they're already dead, being the only squad member who wasn't there at the time(?) :'(

Dusk's paintings can show alternative realities / dreams which she uses to make people reflect on themselves and such ; this is the case of Mr Nothing and what COULD have happened if he kept on pursuing his path of revenge . In the end that is not the case as Nothing simply decides to join Rhodes Island after waking up from the dream .
What Kroos experienced right there was merely a nightmare , though I don't quite know what Dusk wanted to make her think about .
As for Beagle's skin , I think that's simply a "This is her final trial before she does actually become an elite op" , I wouldn't read *too much* into it .
For as much as it concerns Purgatory's files instead...4 letters could indicate anyone ( Fang is one option but the files might refer to Dusk / Nian as well or to other ops ) .

Hey I just saw your video on Bilibili and I just wanna let you know that the original script for ‘final test’ in Chinese “考验” has already had the meaning of ‘final battle’, so I assume that it’s just a translation problem, don’t follow it through. Remember "Test" collection? I wonder why they even give such a weird name for skins related to mundane real life jobs. It makes me wonder if there's gonna be a new skin for this brand but is named "The Soldier" and it somehow ties to Bolivar incidents.

My theorie is that Beagle is actually out of it. She may have quit, she may be injured for life, but i do no think she died. Dobberman could be the traitor, I could see that, but i think the one that died was actually Fang. Which is why Kroos is wearing a memento from her an not from Beagle. Food for thoughts

You're right that Dobermann did kill someone after she finally returns to Bolivaria, BUT that person is not Beagle. It's Fang.
Dobermann might have ties to Bolivaria, but she wouldn't have any reason to kill her squad. She probably left her squad to take back her homeland and told her squad to "don't try to stop me or follow me". Fang, being the skeptic she is, tried to bring their instructor back. This is the speculative background.
Beagle, knowing Fang would come there, tried to stop her from chasing after Dobermann, but she failed and Fang went to Bolivaria anyway. The text in Beagle's costume can refer to test of will or test of power or test of friendship to see if she can stop Fang. This is not an indicator set in stone that only Dobermann can give her this test.
In Bolivaria, Fang tried to convince Dobermann to abandon the civil war. At this point, Dobermann either killed Fang, or she was caught in the crossfire. Fang ends up fatally injured and found by Kroos. This would also explain why Kroos has Fang's memento. It fits better than the "Dobermann killed Beagle" or "Fang killed Beagle" theory, because if Fang really killed Beagle, then Kroos wouldn't want to wear a traitor's memento, and if Fang didn't die, then why would she give her ring accessory to Kroos?
I may be mistaken in this interpretation, but the Beagle event in Bolivar might yet to have happen in the Who is Real Timeframe as Dusk's paintings take the past and shape the future inside the painting based on it. The past with young Beagle is what happened and the Bolivar incident is the proposed future. In Mr. Nothing's dream, we had his encounter with the Rat King and then in the proposed future he defeated his enemies but died when returning to Lungmen. Although, the incident in Bolivar does seem inevitable, as it is an incident written down in Purgatory's files.
Also, I apologize if all my comments come off as critiques. I think you do amazing work and that you're an absolute blessing to the Arknights community. Discussing lore and playing the game wouldn't be the same without you.
Honestly, this was my interpretation of it as well. A situation where they try to connect a past with a future that might happen.
Hot take I think Kroos is wearing Fangs Necklace because she died during a Reserve Ops mission and Kroos blames herself (Kroos Alter Files), and Beagle was killed by Dobermann or atleast they fought in Bolivar. Hibiscus has her Alter out on CN and Im guessing the other two memebers will not be receiving Alters because they might not be alive after Time Skip. Dobermann alter when?
I never got interested in Arknights, it isn't my style when I all want is that one waifu that hook me in. But damn, this is really interesting to me, more for the mistery than for the death itself (because I never used Beagle to begin with). Good video 10/10
