- Who needs to bi-pod when you can be an aggressive LMG support player. I go over a few nasty angles and pushes featuring the skill cannon that is the m240b with and without the suppressor. The front stairs wall can be a pile of bad guys and this is the right gun to get the job done no matter what!

I've always considered myself an above average BF3 player, but I'll admit.... you taught me something new today. Ive always used those angles and routes but the tips with the M240 for doing it def helped.

I agree with you on every point. What I meant was, having 2 crates next to your actually generates your ammunition back faster, instead of having just one. Besides that, it's a huge waste of time. What if some guy pops in rushing with his LMG and you are focussing on some crate to shoot it. Then you're the goner.
did this 2 days ago with pkp...same spot...went 77-3. great fun. get guys in head coming around corner. get two people there and when one is reloading the other takes over....impossible to counter.
searched for your new battlelog name and randomly got it on my first try :P

i agree the mouse is better for aiming, but for vehicle play(mainly jets which happens to be what dishy is known for) gamepads have a significant advantage due to their ability to hold in a direction without having to constantly lift the mouse and reposition

I personally prefer a more stagnant role as support, using the 240 or 249 and raining hell on people.
The chief weapon of the LMG is not stopping power, but fear. The fear of lead comming at 800 m/s at 800 rpm. For me, the Supports role is providing area denial, also known as "You can't move where I can see, because I will rain holy hell on your face", and that's exactly what I do.
Of course, as you show here, the LMGs can be used in the offense effectively, but I've never had any luck with that
The M240B is the best LMG in the game hands down. I have 27 service stars so far and I'm loving it.
if you add a foregrip to the m240b its quite easy to control and can be very effective if you can get used to the vertical recoil and burst firing it

On console it is very difficult controlling the recoil on the 240b even while bursting...but it's excellent for back rages and clearing crowds
thanks for the offer but i live in the UK. parts are really expensive here. $700 of hardware costs me £700 which means it is $1000. as soon as i get a job a decent PC is top of my list dont worry about that!

i use the m249 with supressor - rush defender on metro those locker mcom's - going for the flank down the first stairs - ended up 43-12 :-) so good to come round the back on a couple of squads

Ru side, drop down the back stairs and flank the red to get everyone on the red stairs, as well as everyone on the front wall/escalators.

If you have medics behind you throwing health packs, you can be unstoppable down those stairs. Just like in TF2.

i did the reverse of this yesterday on xbox (using the same kit, i love it) got round the back of lockers on rush and ratatatatat'd my way to victory. one of the only times ive ever got behind ~5 people and killed them all. pretty hard on console

If you look on symthic.com it says that foregrip on the M240B reduces vertical recoil as well as horizontal, not sure if it's the same for all LMGs though.

I agreed. It actually helps you generate your ammunition back to max faster. Who cares about those lowsy 10/20 points.
Cant wait Til the summer so I can get a job & buy a PC that can run this and bf4, it's just not the same on console :(
