A lot of information here, but you did not mention when a fever occurs during this process. Is the fever part of the innate immune response or the adaptive immune response? Also, specific to coronavirus family members, when does lung congestion come in?

Fever occurs during the innate immune response. There are a number of ways that fever can be triggered but one path would be:
      1. Cells that have been destroyed by viruses release damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs)
      2. Sentinel cells become activated by damage-associated molecular patterns and begin synthesising a chemical called interleukin-6 (this takes hours to synthesise)
      3. Interleukin-6 acts on the hypothalamus which reacts by raising the core body temperature (causing fever)
