This video saved me money and time and my decals look great--thanks a million!
Thank you! This helped me understand how to deal with the transfer paper backed one. Great voice and speed of explanation.
Thanks man! The decal, I bought, came with instructions on paper. This first hand video demo is WAY more useful!
Much appreciated
Pretty good explanation of how a transfer sheet type decal application goes down. I'm now ready to tackle my own application now...wish me luck!
Very very helpful. Credit card trick made all the difference. Thank you!
You should have explained how you peeled it at an angle. It really does help. It may seem obvious but some people would not think of it. In my graphic communication class the teacher says a 45 degree angle, but I don't actually measure it. (@.@ I have to use transfer tape, because it's the cheapest for class use. :/)
You're burnishing on the wrong side of the decal to transfer it to app tape... You should flip it and burnish down hard on the REAR of the backing sheet.
What the video demonstrates will adhere the strong adhesive side of the decal itself onto the silicone layer making it harder to lift up...
Thanks for the video! Will pass it along!
Awesome vid! LIKED
Very helpful video. Thanks
thanks man, works great! Now my decal was quite small so it was very easy, dunno about bigger ones though :D
can you switch the stickers over and over
Very helpful. Thanks.
It's WRONG! You turn the decal over so that it is upside down and rub the decal as he shows. You need to keep the vinyl adhering to the top mask, not the paper underneath. After rubbing as he shows (but with decal upside down), then carefully remove the glossy paper from the decal. Don't try to remove the top masking from the glossy but rather pull the glossy away from the masking which is holding the graphics.
Thank you. Yes, I've only been in this area for 2/3 years but if you burnish on the front like erroneously in this video (and like I used to) if the decal has higher tack on the silicone (which it can) than the low/med tack app tape it will stick to the silicone backing sheet and be harder to take up on the app tape.. if it comes up at all. Something I used to do when I was starting out in galleries and then learnt my mistake.
It's logical, the whole point is to transfer the front of the decal to the application tape, not the other way around.
Ur wrong. Hes been doing this for god knows how many years. Your probobly horrible at it. ( no offense) ;)
Thanks!
thanks man
