It's that RARE possibility that makes a fight exhibiting. And to equal GSP or in some ways to unequivocally surpassing him.... with 2 belts & a 30-0 record.... Khabit has to beat a current champ. He isn't gonna do it against Islam or Alex at 145 or Sean/DDP at 185... so Leon is the perfect opponent for that GSP-like second belt.

Khabib v Conor 2 would be the ultimate thing tho that could break everyone’s mind with UFC 300 - the fact Conor v Chandler isn’t even signed yet (Chandler doesn’t know confirmation of weight either and is speculating like rest of us), and Conor misdirecting the audience to then being this out of the hat would be legendary.
Plus fan interest would be there with the years Khabib had off plus Mcgregors return from injury and perceived loss of quality to make it speculative fight outcome amongst fans minds

GSP last fought in 2017 and has only fought a couple of times in the last 10 years! He's 42 and retired and he definitely wouldn't come out of retirement when there's a good chance he would lose.
