- Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
Today we're going to be driving another scenario from the Alan Thomson Sim website1 This time we're driving the Armstrong Powerhouse enhanced Class 158 from Derby to Matlock on an all stops service.
Other than the slight mistake leaving Derby, where we left over 10 minutes early (oops!), we have a lovely pleasant drive ahead of us. The Class 158 really is a fantastic unit to drive and I think the livery with the pride swoosh, really does suit it.

Ambergate had triangular layout, until 1967, local trains took the upper side to Chesterfield and Sheffield. The original listing of Ambergate station for closure under the Beeching led to its mention in the song 'Slow Train' by Flanders and Swann.
It was nice to see the cable cars visible at Matlock Bath. I can recommend a day out in this area.
Some the EMR 156s went to Northern to replace Pacers & 153s; the 170s replaced 153s & 156s. I notice 158s tend to work the EMR & Northern routes previously worked by 156s but still on 156 timings. I take it when an EMR 156 is coupled to a 158 the train is limited to the the Class 156's 75mph top speed...

My uncle is the head of drivers for EMR and is also the head of the Derbyshire region and it was my idea as i did a picture for the New mascot lol and he does have to travel all over the place for EMR so rip to him.

I know someone who drives on that route, and on the Derby - St Pancras service.
The pride livery in real life is really nice to look at, unlike the normal version which is boring

I have to agree with you Nick! It seems a compulsive thing now that every business ever must show it's awareness of every political issue. Quite sad really as I'd like to think as society now it'd just be taken as a given but what do I know.

I am a tad confused though, is TS 2021 which you recommend in your video description, the same as TS Classic ? Is the core game the same or have their been updates?
I’m keen to buy a version but unsure which one to buy as there is a big price difference between TS Classic and Steam and TS 2021 via CD Keys

Hi when I buy a route if the alanthompson website it’s says drag the Content folder into your railworks directory. Do you know how to do it because I don’t know how to do it
