okay but i still can't get over how smart the L (left/Leo) and R (right/Ravi) assimilation in Whisper was.. the way Ravi wore his Left earphone and they showed the Right side of Leo's headphones to also represent their connection
They are such perfect opposites vocally that they play off each other amazingly! LR are genuinely one of my favourite sub-units to ever exist!
You can actually hear Ravi vocalizing along with Leo. If you listen very carefully. In both the songs. Also, Ravi wrote Beautiful Liar!

I think you pretty much got the gist of what I think the point "Beautiful Liar" is trying to make. The song and MV is all about the internal struggle of coming to terms with when it is time to end a relationship. So, how I interpret the story in the MV is, that Leo and Ravi represent the two halves of the same person. The MV is all about an internal struggle that the guy is having about whether to hold on to the girl or do what he ultimately knows is best for both of them, and let her go. One side knows that he needs to let her go and end the relationship, and the other side of him wants to hold on for dear life to keep her. Leo is the "beautiful liar" who has created this lie for himself in order to do the right thing and let her go. And Ravi represents the guy's real internal emotions. All Ravi wants to do is hold on to her. You see the girl give Leo a wedding invitation and she tries to return his keys because she is ending the relationship and is in love with someone else. Leo is trying to be a bigger person and just let her go. But, as you see, Ravi, who is the true emotions, is angry and he is refusing to give up -- he doesn't want to accept the keys and when she walks away he tries to run after her. But the beautiful lie, which switches to beautiful pain, wins out and Leo's side ends up winning the struggle. As Ravi walks away in the end, Leo is left to live his beautiful lie and ignore his true emotions, etc.
The story within "Whisper" seems to be a continuation of "Beautiful Lier" With Leo and Ravi playing the opposite sides of one personality again, that are connected to each other by contrasting strings. Leo is still the submissive part of their personality where Ravi is the dominate more passionate one. And they are continuing to battle each other in an internal struggle to see which part of them will be the one to win.
Leo is such an amazing vocalist. He is also main vocal of vixx. I luv his voice. Please watch more about him ❤

They will always be a special sub unit that did happen. I remember when beautiful liar came out and omg was it a special time. Thanks one again for the love and support you are giving them I would for sure check out their albums as well too. It has many bops and their albums are great

vixx lr (and jjp) is my favorite subunit by far. beautiful liar means so much to me, and is one of the only songs to ever make me cry. the band ver. of it is genuinely what i expect in terms of quality and performance whenever other idols do band vers.

They are two different sides of the same person, this person loves his love and here is where we have LR
Leo is gonna let her go because he will suffer ih she stays with him,But Ravi is going to keep her no matter what (It's like, Leo represents Brain and Ravi represents Heart *emotions*)
In mv,we saw that at the end Leo was left by both his love and his other side(Ravi) and it was the end of Beautiful liar
And now we have whisper
It's an after story for Beautiful liar where Leo is trying to find his other side
Leo is wearing blue, the colour if peace and calmness
Ravi is wearing Red, the colour of passion and love
This was a short explanation, there so much more but i don't want it to be so long

i LOVE beautiful liar, they really went all the way with the concept. they just said: look your voices are complete opposites, let's just take that and make an entire concept out of it. That's my favourite thing about VIXX tbh, they just go all the way with their concepts, no playing it safe just to appeal to a broader audience

Ahh thanks for reacting to Vixx LR! I love how much you appreciate all the elements involved and you’re totally on the right track for the concept of both videos! Whisper does play on the red string of fate/soulmates idea, but the thread tying LR together seems to have more to do with a subconscious connection through music. Leo with his red shirt and black leather jacket seems more wild at the beginning, but internally he's a much calmer soul (blue) while Ravi is his direct opposite (blue at first but internally red and passionate), yet they are able to make that connection through music and marry the two sides together through that musical connection (the earphones, and then the two strings at the end are still separate colors, but have switched and are tied together). Basically, the contrasting emotions between calm (blue) and passion (red) can sometimes merge together to create harmony (purple), and may sometimes even switch (Ravi's string is blue at the end, while Leo's is red) but these two emotions are always connected to one another despite how opposite they may seem. There's also a lot of parallels drawn to the Beautiful Liar era! One of Leo's books was also titled "My Light," which LR dedicated to their fans, Starlights, during their first mini album :) Their MVs also tend to have a lot of abstract symbolism or even some subtle shoutouts to the fandom included! In Whisper, Leo's suitcase has Vixx LR's debut date written on it (they always carry those memories and feelings with them), and the depiction of the gemini constellation of the red and blue twins reflects Vixx's debut date (5/24, and was featured on the Starlight membership fangoods that year) and even ties into the concept.
Beautiful Liar is a bit more straightforward in naming their concept, but there’s also a lot of symbolism to appreciate in that MV as well, from the outfits, pianos, background, make up, light imagery, etc. One of my favorites is how Leo's eyes are lined with glitter, which makes it look like he's holding back tears in order to maintain his beautiful lie, while Ravi's are red-rimmed as if he's been crying, which expresses Leo's real feelings. It’s all these little details that earn them the title of concept kings!

I think you should watch Vixx 101 (Concept Kings) video in youtube.. They really explained well Vixx's concept in this video and you should react to it.. Everyone knows they literally a concept kings but when you watch that video you will see it more clearly.. and you should also react to their concert videos especially Elysium Live even if you can't react 2 hours long you should watch their concerts... they are really incredible... AAAA ALSOOO you should react to their Resurrection and Possession versions of Scentist they are just amazing they REAAALLY are concept kings....
