@@Mr196710 no no, my friend, this is not a joke. We are talking about nuclear weapons: everybody will perish, not only the vulnerable ones. This is the reason why the US has not attacked Russia yet: they know that in case of a nuclear war, even the ones in power will die...not only the usual soldiers and innocent civilians. This is the real only reason why the US elites have not invaded Russia yet and this is the reason why they never will. Nobody touches Russia.

Not to mention countries like China, Russia, and North Korea are just a few of the many authoritarian regimes in the world. Roughly half of the world's population does not live under a 'democracy' of any type, and they do not have the cultural values and political values of a democracy.

      1) Under Western academics Prof Mearsheimer is a very unique person thinking only logical (does not allow any feelings to influence his thinking/opinion) and therefore representing a position contrary to the general Western thinking also by academics which in case of Ukraine is strongly influenced by feelings and a will to deny/not to see undenyable/for people able and willing to think by themselves critically clearly seeable facts and contradictions in the Western also academic narrative.
2+3) The current foreign minister of Germany has put as main subject of her activity the human rights and if I am not wrong many Western countries claim on Iran, North Korea, Russia, China correctly the violation of human rights.
You are right in the sense that Western academics and politicians do not like to address/see Western violations of human rights.
      3) Politicians do care about peace. If however the strive to peace led to war then something must have gone completely wrong. The Western denial to analyze what went wrong and set according such analysis corrective action is in case of Ukraine for me looking like the West acting as a mob (we need to keep unity!) to oppress on Russia what the West thinks is peace/should peace mean.
You need to be able to create by yourself, as Prof Mearsheimer is able, certain questions willfully not addressed/clarified by Western media. One of such questions I did ask me was/is: What is the meaning of the US imposed partial global order Monroe Doctrine on the disputed point Ukraine into NATO (West) versus Ukraine never into NATO (Russia)?
The answer I found for myself on such by me created questions led me to believe the West does act in bad intention like a mob against Russia and I got very surprised when I first time saw a video by Prof Mearsheimer nearly 100% in agreement with my conclusion, yet absolutely conratictory of what 99.9...% of Western persons to think/express - I am not sure if 99.9...% is really correct on academics, yet superimposing what media is willing to distribute to the public I think my feeling 99.9...% also on academics is justified.

I always learn a lot from Prof Mearsheimer and agree with most of it. I can't agree with the ending of this video, though. He says he can't imagine the conflicts in Ukraine, Israel and potentially Taiwan merging into a third world war. I can. First of all, Russia, China and Iran are military allies. The first step might be Russia arming the Houthis with anti ship missiles, something in the news now. Russia isn't at war with Israel now. If Israel invades Lebanon, this pulls Iran into the fight. We are barely even aware of the tensions between North and South Korea, or of what is going on in Taiwan. Or joint Russian Chinese naval exercises that scare the Japanese. North Korea produces more artillery shells for the Ukraine war than NATO does. The main fusing of conflicts, though, will be when Russia provides advanced missiles to the Houthis, and maybe other resistance groups, to attack Israel.

    • @friedhelmschroter8124
      @friedhelmschroter8124 Před 5 dny

I don't see any danger of atomic escalation in Israel and Taiwan. On Taiwan it is not even clear if China will invade ever, the West just speaks about increasing danger/fear out of the natural development that China, after its economic success, now puts also efforts to close the gap to US on military and applies indeed aggressive rethoric -yet you have to see that the rethoric US applies on China is also remarkably aggressive (I see no great difference between US and China aggressiveness). And as usual it is not very clear if US aggressiveness if based on trying to get an unjustified advantage versus China or in the target to maintain global order (democracy) as US justifies its aggressiveness.
Iran does not develop the atomic bomb for attack, but as a deterrence against potential Israel atomic bomb attacks. On the other hostilities all sides have learned and are now learning again on the case of Israel-Gaza, but also Libanon/Hisbollah that situation cannot continue as ever, but some kind of final solution is required and here in my thinking Israel is required to take one-sided decisions, because the Palestinians are not able to decide and act effectively.
The only real danger of atomic escalation I can see is in case of Ukraine IF US does stick to the goal, throw out Russia of all Ukraine + then bring Ukraine into NATO. Russia will never ever accept to get thrown out of Crimea and also the problem of the Russian population in the east of Ukraine needs to be resolved (the problem on east-Ukraine is not one of Ukraine getting this area back -permanently repeated yet wrong Western narrative-, BUT HOW TO HANDLE THE RUSSIANS LIVING THERE). The West had the possibility to solve the problem on the Russians in the east of Ukraine by executing the Kiev 2015 treaty, but by whatever reason it failed (I think intentionally decided against realization) to execute a solution where it had some influence and therefore it is correct that Russia now executes its solution alone.

Russia is happy to have Chinese and other support, but in the long run this does not help against the combined power of the West. Russia's only chance to arrive at a reasonable solution is, that by the high cost this war causes the West and the potential danger of atomic escalation the US/NATO goal to get Ukraine into NATO was a bad target from the beginning, becomes aware by all people, but especially politicians and media who are at the head of the mob AGAINST Russia, where the mulititude of against reasons clearly show not Ukraine is the reason for escalation, but the West thinks it is morally superior to Russia and therefore entitled to punish Russia.
In how far the West is morally superior to Russia can quite clearly be seen in cases like US invasion into Iraq 2003 and the reaction on this by Western countries outside of the US attack allies (did they provide against this unjustified attack same support they do provide to Ukraine?) or in Israel where 2 of the countries pushing hard for human rights -US and Germany- have expressed their full support on Israel/Israel's actions as human rights violations on millions and war crimes (how can US and Germany then dare to claim China human rights violations on the Uighurs?).

To look absolutely correct into the future is an art nobody has mastered yet and if Mearsheimer challenges this by applying logic the results may be true, but only when logic prevails. In case of Ukraine however non-logic US behavior prevailed and this applies in the meantime to all Western people acting like a mob against Russia. In such case also a compared to Biden probably much more sharp and logic thinking Putin can be forced to do things which in case of a logic/normal behaving US would never have happened.

Dictatorship (kingdom etc. is the form of rulership that prevailed for many many centuries and still has a quite a huge share today.
Democracy is quite new and it has not really proven that it is any better looking at the cruel things it applied to civilians in Japan (atomic bomb), in Vietnam (chemicals etc.), the multitude of cruel dictatorships it acted to create/support in South America, ...., the invasion into Iraq 2003 based on ????, destroying most countries in the Middle East/North Africa, acting on Ukraine against a clear part of the global order -Monroe doctrine- causing a recent huge war all Western politicians do lie on, Guantanamo, ....(an endless list).
The point is not to give what somebody wants, but what is reasonble and the Monroe Doctrine has a clear message. What do you mean would be the message of the Monroe Doctrine applied on Ukraine? (look at Cuba where US threatened atomic WWIII on USSR)
Peace is guaranteed by atomic and military deterrence, but not by oppression as US does obviously think. Allow Israel atomic bombs, but disallow the same to Iran - if US would have refrained atomic bombs to Israel then US would have the right to refrain atomic bombs from Iran, but for the sake of .... America is now oppressing Iran for the sake to give an advantage to its ally Israel that is applying permenently human rights violations on Palestinians and recently with US verbal and military support war crimes in Gaza, exactly knowing that such Isrealian atomic bombs are a deadly for the Iran. In my thinking extremely bad democratic decision/thinking!)
American action has created the Taliban as a method to fight USSR support on the communist government there and later US got shocked when the same Taliban cause 9/11.
      US did create ISIS.
Do you really think all these mainly US actions have resulted in peace? If so, I recommend you to visit some of the countries that suffered US style of peace.

And today China/India and most countries outside of the US spere of interest do agree to Russian propaganda is a sure sign for you, that you should believe in Western moral propaganda.
When thinking so, one simple question to you:
How should the US Monroe doctrine (applied in the Cuban crisis in the '60s) be interpreted for Russia for the US push to get Ukraine into NATO?
Is the US push to get Ukraine into NATO in accordance with the US imposed global order, or is this push disobeying/contradictory to the US imposed global order, a US created rule of the global order?
I wish you good luck in doing some own thinking about above question, where you will not find the answer and arguments to support such answer in the on Ukraine case very intelligent Western news propaganda, a moral propaganda such smart that it needs the skills of a professor Mearsheimer to unveal/unmantle it.
