Just subscribed, brilliant video. Your story resonated with me, I waited just short of 2 years to purchase a Submariner Date from my AD, the thing to remember is that not all AD's are the same. I had an awful experience at an AD in a major city, was later introduced to an AD in a small town, the difference in experience was like chalk and cheese. You have to be patient as they only receive a certain amount of pieces each year.

I’ve found great value from your vids, keep posting and I’m in a similar position.
Am I right in thinking it’s your first Rolex purchase? If so, nice work on even being offered it.
Is it a special occasion that the watch is being bought for?
Hope you get that call soon.

Thank you glad you’re enjoying the videos. It’s to celebrate some milestones in work and life. It’s something that I have always wanted as I’ve always been a massive Watch fan. I thought about grey market but wanted to try and support the brand but I don’t know if the brand supports me 😂

genuinely love the video's, keep the content coming. I hope they come through with their 'promise' to fulfil you getting your black sub similar to my situation too. I have no spend but celebrating a milestone and hope my AD comes through and we can begin some loyalty to one another for the foreseeable avoiding having to pay grey market prices. It's a very weird situation where we're expressing our intentions to buy something and then just waiting in limbo but all part of the game@@Watchmansam482

I'll say it. Rolex's time is limited. We're already aware that Rolex sources its materials from CHINA! I'm attempting to offset the purchase, and I plan to increase the capital inflow by exporting watches to the CHINESE market, which constitutes around 50% of the production. This pertains to AD's choices and strategies. It appears the company may have overlooked that the Chinese have advanced technology, including 3D scanners, and they are ambitious. They have already duplicated all the production tools. Currently, you can acquire Super Clones for less than $1,000, and they are practically indistinguishable from genuine Rolex watches. They are constructed from the same materials processed in the same factory, or steel casting. The quality is on par, and the difference lies only in the finishing and the replacement of the most advanced technology in the movement with another, differing only in regulation. That's it. Aside from a few subtle distinctions that might be addressed in the future, there will be practically no difference, except for the quality of the movement's performance, which is unlikely to be surpassed. I'll let you ponder this. Remember that these days, a watch is more of a piece of jewelry than a simple tool, and the brand might not matter as much. Generating demand for this brand may appear somewhat artificial. I can assure you that those who can afford such an expensive watch won't be interested in a pre-owned one. The widespread availability of super clones will probably restrict the resale value and price. When Super Clones become commonplace, something Rolex has inadvertently contributed to, the company's era may draw to a close, and even celebrities won't be able to sustain the brand.

What materials? You mean like ore? I think you do. I would be shocked if any components come from China. I think you're totally wrong about that. Rolex getting metal from China makes total sense. Ore is ore, who cares? Rolex is working very hard to ramp up production, so not only do I think you are completely wrong, I think in several years Rolexes will be significantly more available (although there will always be some very hard to get models). It is not good business for Rolex to not be able to fulfill supply. Demand will most likely always exceed supply, but after the two new factories are completed, let's say they will be able to increase their production by 300%. I think in the future you will get on a list, and be able to get most models within two months. That's sustainable, and good marketing. Making people wait longer than a year is not good for the brand.

@@ams914 Don't rely on it! These factories were established for the "Rolex Certified Pre-Owned - Authentic Rolex watches program". They will service and refurbish watches, which they will subsequently offer for sale through their boutiques online, and this is already in progress (Tourneau | Bucherer - Buy, Sell & Trade Fine Watches) !

@@ams914 904L stainless steel (surgical steel used in the medical industry). There are only a few steel mills. The famous steel from Luxembourg has already been forgotten. I suggest paying attention to labs diamonds, which are beginning to enter the jewelry market. This is causing a problem in the current market as natural diamonds are overpriced. Remember that "MADE SWISS" does not mean it's made in Switzerland. It simply means that at this level, you need to reach 2/3 of the watch's price. Therefore, an engraving or any decoration is sufficient to meet this requirement. Rolex has restricted the supply of luxury watches to the EU/US market due to streamlining the supply chain and capital flow. There's absolutely no other reason for this. In general, if you look at the annual export numbers for Swiss watches, you'll see that they're distributed as approximately 31% in the EU, 15% in the USA, 51% in Asia, and the rest elsewhere. I've just received information from an authorized dealer in Central Europe that the waiting time for the availability of the basic OP model is at least two years.

Rolex is being taken advantage of buy their ADs. If ADs keep this up, you can better believe they won't be getting any allocations in the future. Rolex will have way more boutiques, and that's where you'll get a watch.
