  • My Century Versys VS.1 started sagging with use and it was making it slow to rebound and a bit awkward to hit. I thought I would share what I did to fix mine just in case anyone else has experienced the same thing. If you have, let me know in the comments and tell me if you tried my fix or have a better one!

I was just about to get rid of the one we have. My younger son and his friends thought it was fun to tackle it. Over and over. Jump to present... it's useless. I watch your video...5 minutes later I'm taking my husband old t shirts..4 to be exact.. thank you.. it took 2 minutes to fix....

Huge improvement after doing this. Our bag had the opposite issue, the side foam was protruding so I put tshirts in the middle. Will try pool noodle next if needed. Thanks creating and sharing this! I think our issue was also from kids tackling it.

For a product that cost $299.99 it is extremely disturbing that this kind of engineering flaws happens. Shame on Century LLC for ripping people off with crappy and low quality products at thieving prices.

Brilliant. When I watched the reviews for this I didnt like how slowly it bounced back after striking it. Im trying to use this for boxing and by adding the shirts (or I bet towels would work too) it stands a bit more rigid but is still nice on the joints. I think Ill be purchasing one of these soon!

Great video! I didn't have the same core section lowered like yours, but I did have some unequal parts around the core. The t-shirts make a big difference. It's still doesn't come back after hitting as quickly as I'd like it to though, but this trick helps. I'm interested to see if anyone else has any fixes that help!

My core was flush with the outer sections, but the t-shirt trick still works!!! Added one in the center. TWO THUMBS UP!!!

Because is so soft you can punch it with bone dumbbells 😮yes so if you use bone 🦴 dumbbells of 8 kg it will be a good workout better than punching the air 😊

Unzipped mine and the foam was perfect. But it seemed like the base was out of balance. So I separated the base, shook it around, turned it upside down and stood on top, jumped around on it, etc. when I zipped it back up it was perfect erect again (hey now!)

I think the lean is good because it is like your opponent leaning back

Has this worked well since you did this? Would you also suggest doing this as soon as you buy the product? I’m thinking of getting this bag

Sorry for the delay. Somehow I missed your comment earlier. The fix has worked reasonably well. What I found is that the rolled up t-shirts do not compress much so after a while the foam compresses even further. A few weeks after filming this, I ended up adding some pool noodle pieces in there as well. I cut notches into the inside of the noodle so that I could form a circle and jammed it in. I would probably start with leaving it stock and then progress to a pool noodle in there if it leans. Also worth noting that it appears that tackling it is what really makes it lean. My kids started taking it down constantly and I think that's when it really started to lean. I only use it for boxing and since I asked my kids to stop tackling it, I have not noticed any further lean. Hope that helps!

How long did you have this bag before this happened?

    • @ca135

It started to lean a bit after only a few uses and slowly progressed more and more so that after about 3 months or so, I noticed that it was leaning pretty badly (like in the start of the video).
