    It's such a bustling ecosystem down there. They're completely comfortable with you being there too. I mean, hiking is cool, yes, but this is the stuff life is made of right here. Thank you for such wonderful footage Masochist. Would you know that some creators never change up their styles? They just fade away.

    My wife walked by and was like whoah so she put it on the big screen and she also uttered the word "Cousteau". She doesn't watch videos even but she's entranced. Exact quote from her is: "Jesus fuck." For my part I didn't know that California still, you know, had it. So I'm having the opposite experience I had watching you on the east coast (which was dang, it really is the end of the world). This actually gives me some hope. Maybe the world isn't over yet. I can see why it would be worth risking one's life for this. That one fish seems pretty interested in showing you his teeth.

    Wow. This video and the other one at Treasure Island are truly mesmerizing. You are a true ambassador for Laguna Beach area diving. I know surges and storms can affect clarity, but all things being equal, does visibility change day-to-day or more week-to-week?

    • @FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes
      @FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes  Před rokem +1

      Quite a bit. For example this year between the storms and the post storm rain closure it’s been all but impossible to dive and those going out have mostly reported around 10 ft vis

    Awesome dive. Grew up going to Laguna and Salt Creek. Thanks for sharing your diving. ✌️ Was the sea lion after the CA state fish? Almost looked like it. He could get fined for that (sea lion that is) 😂 California might just instate that. Just teasing. Nice lobsters.

      @FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes  Před 2 lety

      Only a few years. In that time it’s varied quite a bit but things vary a lot just depending on time of day. You could go out in the morning and see a massive number of fish and then go again in the evening and see a fraction or Vice versa. There was an issue a few years back when the kelp died off due to temperature. And also we’re seeing more sargasm coming in.

    • @FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes
      @FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes  Před 2 lety

      The trick is actually more when you go under something. The tank and first stage stick up above your head and if you misjudge you slam your expensive scuba bits against the rock. Also I think if you did manage to break anything it would likely rocket you backwards thanks to escaping air
