Besides the 1977 twenty year anniversary, this episode was also capitalizing on the "Special Edition" hype as well as the fact that news about the prequel trilogy was finally coming out. It was very much a "Star Wars comes back to the cultural forefront" moment.

My father hated sci fi, especially my liking for Star Trek (he once said, "if that is the future, why are they wearing 60s fashion and not laserproof or shielded stuff?"). My mother hated Star Wars, saying she sat through two hours of flashy stuff, watching goofy aliens and all the kids (Hamill, Fisher, Ford) were amateur actors at best. Star Trek hasnt changed much in wardrobe other than it looks like it was made in the time the decade it was filmed in, and Star Wars is still filed with flashy stuff, aliens and a new young cast of up and coming acting skills. So they arent all wrong....but I love it nonetheless

One thing I’ll always love about this show
Is that it shows just how stupid and sheeple really are
STARWARS is made for each generation
So it isn’t soo much that George Lucas ruined the franchise or Disney ruined the franchise
The franchise reflects the current generation
    The modern day people suck
The original starwars was weird and they thought it wasn’t going to be a hit
And the 70s stoners loved it
The 80s gave us comics and books cause that’s what 80s kids did
    They read
The 90s gave us the rerelease of nostalgia
The 2000s gave us the prequels
Overly CGI and made for kids
More effects and Choreography than practical effects
and it tried to be too political and deep for the adults which made it goofy and boring. Which later generations would LOVE and quote the memes
Then the sequels and solo rogue one come along for the 2010ish movies shows
    Cartoons pandering to zoomers
    Men like Ben are emotional
    Women like Rey are logical
    Hence men act like women
    Women act like men
    Inversion of morality
And yet all It is about healing from past trauma and the past isn’t all it’s cracked up to be
    That’s the sequels
And now we are in the 2020s
    No new trilogy
Tv shows like book of boba and Mandoloreon and obiwan
Where the book of boba fett is really about mando
    And ahsokah and CGI Luke
Where mandoloreon is really about baby yoda/grogu ( pedo vibes)
And obi wan is really about young Leia and reva (also pedo vibes)
    And CGI Vader voice
    Bring back ewan and Hayden
STARwars is currently a mix of messed up people and lost souls
    Fake cgi
    Fake actors
Inconsistent writing in accordance’s to the lore
    And hypocritical and nonsensical
As it tries to make a long time ago in a galaxy far far away
    Modern day 2022
    All for a pagan religion
(Remember atheists labeling themselves as Jedi and how cringe that was)
I hope sTARwars becomes good again
    But idols always fail
    And it’s really sad
    Cause starwars is many things
    But it can’t be everything
    And that’s how it’s suffering
    As is our society
    We can’t be everyone
    Equity doesn’t work
    Diversity is a weakness
And the idea whiteness is evil
    Is stupid
Here’s to seeing what 2030 starwars panders too

I don’t understand why they don’t use the actual sound effects and dialog from the movie during the part when they are all in the cinema watching it?!

Most likely due to some kind of potential lawsuit over copywrite of the sounds.

@@BlackjackOnem I highly doubt that, in a previous episode when they go to a drive in theater to see the movie "The Omen" they actually used audio and sounds from that movie in a scene when they were watching it.

Royalties for The Omen vs Royalties for Star Wars. These too aren't the same
