Bangladesh was literally one of the richest places on earth when the British took over and forced them to supply them with tea among other things. Also he didn’t even really talk about the fact that Churchill exacerbated the famine in Bangladesh causing more to needlessly die. That is unbelievably significant and should always be mentioned. Famines can start with natural disasters that limit food supplies, but often times it is the government policies that make it significantly worse. See also the British and the Irish Famine, similar circumstances.

What lacks in this review is, the mughals were one of the best dynasties to rule in bangladesh to pioneer the socio economy, social structure , to implement the hierarchy chain in administrations and whereas the British were thieves who stole the money and sent it to England! I am not implying or saying that british rulers didn’t do anything but what they took was way far more than what they gave this county in return!

British Colony decently broke the great Bengal. They knew if they want to control the subcontinent they should control the Bengal first. Because at that time Bengali nations were so
intellectually strong and emotional. So, the British colony made riot movements into them. They taught them to despise each other in the name of religion. Not only that, the British entrance door was Battle of Plassey and ruled 200 years and lastly they divided the East n West Bengal.

@@alangervasis hey man, you also missed the line. the historical large colony now what we see in the Indian subcontinent those are made only in the Mughal period.
Some parts of Indian culture and ethnicity decently match with the middle east but it doesn't match with Europeans.
