  • This hike is from a section of the Great North Walk. I have covered almost all of the Great North Walk hikes south of Brooklyn, and this is one of the easier ones. While there are no spectacular summit views, this is all about the flora and fauna. I encountered a huge tree goanna, many sulphur crested cockatoos, kookaburras and many eucalypts and ferns. In spring the area is blossoming and the birds in abundance, more enjoyable during the week when there are less people.

Great video, would love to see a walk on the next section of the Great North Walk from Hornsby to Berowra which is doable one way and catching the train back.

Definitely! I've walked pretty much every section of the GNW on the south side of the Hawksbury (and all before I owned the GoPro!). So I'll definitely be walking those sections again and adding some more videos. Most of the sections have train stations at either end (apart from the Galston Gorge sections which require car shuffles)
