That boys and girls ladies and gentlemen is the definition of a rocket ship what a fantastic year she’s had
Speaking of "rocket ships" I'd like to draw a comparison between top fuel dragsters and jet powered exhibition dragsters. The jet cars use engines out of F-4 Phantom 2s and F105s, including afterburners. Now, a jet dragster doesn't have to worry about wheel spin, etc, and yet they normally top out at around 290 mph, compared with top fuelers, of which the top half of the field typically qualify at over 300 mph. I happen to love watching top fuelers run, I could watch them all day. The one thing I miss about top fuelers is they used to set their clutches in the pits with a couple of throttle "whacks" but have largely gotten away from that procedure.
Way to go Brit! Force strong! You will always be in the history books!
Not only does Brittany have it going on but I’m thinking Grubnic has something to do with that and the rest of the crew too!!!! She’s definitely doing a fantastic job behind the wheel I only hope she can keep on her game on the tree and the team keeps giving her the same car I’d love to see her win it all at the end of the season!!!!! I’m guessing that’s only weeks away too!!!!! GO BRITTANY!!!!!!!!

@@markphillips898 absolutely correct👌 she is a great racer don’t get me wrong but just like her dad with Austin Coil the crew chief/tuners are the magicians that make the magic happen the drivers are just the assistants 😂
Yup. Grubnic tunes the car to make up for Brittney's slower RTs.
If you've never seen championship drag racing it's that a whole nother level it's an experience you'll never forget it bit me over 50 years ago I'm still going.

You've got to love it, this is what makes racing so much fun for the fans, hope the rule makers don't start slowing the cars down it'll ruin it for us all.
Interesting, Britany in Top Fuel, Erica Enders in Pro Stock and Angell and a couple other ladies in Pro Stock Bike, they ask no quarter and give none, once they pull up to the starting line.
Grubby and good parts and a good routine makes all these amazing and consistent runs possible.
But Brittany has got to get more consistent on the tree and not let her team down.
The stats for holeshot losses this year cannot be good for JFR in TF.

I’m glad that in drag racing the quickest and usually faster car still gets the win. And as long as they can get stopped quickly and the driver can take the forces, this needs to continue as it is.

I'm trying to think, has anyone ever had the top 10 ET or top 10 speed records all the same time like this??
I we'll just keep the dream alive of maybe seeing Top Fuel and funny car running 340 at the same event, in my dream to be cool to see a side by side, lol - I really hope they don't make ridiculous changes to the rev limiters or anything, both fuel classes have been extremely good and Goodyear has had and does have the best higher program they probably ever had. Plus I don't think anyone wants to see the cars get slowed down 310 mph, unless they want the sport to disappear. The cars have the 'Leah Bar' installed and then now (glad she didn't get hurt for that to finally take effect...) but and digressing, the cars are the best they've ever been so let's keep the program growing!
Grubby sure is doing some amazing tuning.

I'd be giving credit to the crew chief more than the driver, as they say the driver is just along for the ride.
How many of us can really imagine the G-force produced when accelerating from 0 - 337 mph in under 3.7 seconds, while maintaining control at those speeds.
That's 4.5 linear Gs during acceleration

Racing is two parts: crew and driver. You are definitely NOT in contention without a top crew, but long after nitro is replaced by (whatever punches out the most powerful stroke) Brittany's career will stand as the benchmark - the standard - by which other drivers will be judged. Brittany, along with a other women drivers, have completely obliterated the idiotic notion that "women can't do this". I think maybe more than a few scientists would love to compare Brittany and John's makeup to see if there really is a "racing Gene".
