SomeRandomScrub I didn’t think they thought they were bad, but in a list of “game-changing” bugs and exploits, it kinda doesn’t make sense for it to be so low on the list. It’s indisputable that combos were far more influential on the scene than something like wobbling or the shield exploit in Rainbow Six. The only thing here that even arguably comes close to combos on this list is wallbangs as it influenced design in many modern shooters.

Ah, the infamous fountain hook, the part where I lost all respect towards Loda.
Also, just a bit of a trivia for the fountain hook for those that doesn't play Dota, it's actually been in the game from the start, but it's REALLY hard to do. Even if you get it right, it'll still be a 4v4 with a chance of your team messing up. It's only patched because Navi showed what it can do when it's times so well so many times and they managed to pull a comeback from a teamfight after it.

I’m not sure if it counts, but the flip reset mechanic in Rocket League is a pretty important part of professional play now, and it wasn’t really meant to be there. When you touch all four wheels to the ball, and don’t jump, you have a second flip for as long as your in the air, which gives you a ton of options for finishing and surprising your opponent.

The Roshan bug cannot even compare to the Sniper bug that I ended up experiencing and using twice accidentally. The bug goes like this, the sniper player in my team disconnected in the game and didn't return, at this point, I didn't really see how did it happen. We were in a clash and I died so I went to the fountain to pick up the sniper. Then I noticed that the snipe no longer have an HP bar, and every time I move him, he would immediately walk back to the fountain. I first thought that this is a "failsafe" to prevent enemies from killing a disconnected player hero over and over again to gain money. Then I realized something, if I spammed the move command, it is possible to overwrite the feature that would cause the hero to walk back to the fountain. Once you stop spamming movement, the hero would immediately walk back towards the fountain, but if you wouldn't stop, you'll be able to move him everywhere. The first time I encountered this and used it, our team didn't sell sniper's items (although he only has threads, maelstrom, and crystalis). The next part I needed to find out is if it's possible to attack, which was possible, I can attack using sniper but sniper is invulnerable to everything. He cannot be attacked, spells cannot damage him, skills that are supposed to stun or apply sleep doesn't work either. Sniper can attack no matter what the case is, and his damage is still the same, and it doesn't help that the hero can still level up. I ended up throwing away my hero and just used sniper the enemies cannot do anything, they would be killed by the sniper, it would destroy their towers, but they can't do anything. The only way for them to actually be able to do something about it is to hope that the player controlling the DC'd sniper would let go of the mouse long enough for the hero to walk back to the fountain. I encountered this bug twice back then, and I was the one using it both times. Funny because I thought Valve would fix this since I'm pretty sure that it would be found immediately, several years later here I am, I still haven't found any vids or stories about this bugs other than mine. No one seemed to experience the bug and talked about it. Still, I only did encounter it in, and win, 2 games using the bug so maybe, just maybe, not a lot of players ran across it.

Maokai has to put ulti then take any damage and use Zhonya, on the end of ultimate (no matter by duration or reuse) - server crashes because there was a division by zero somewhere in formula. Why the exploit was outstanding is that dying server kicked everyone else before Maokai, giving his team free win and loss for opponents.

Killing your own units (and also structures and even allied heroes) to deprive the enemy team of their gold and exp wasn't originally an intended part of Defense of the Ancients' game design, but once people caught on to it, it became an integral and essential, almost defining (as almost no other MOBAs have retained it) part of the game.

If the other team had the same kind of map experience and know how they could've killed him pretty easily. I mean look at the 3rd person angles, the sniper was totally exposed.

The one where Rekkles hits OMG loveling with an ULT, sure his shield (maw) allowed him to back BUT his speed boost was still active out of spawn which should NOT have happened because when loveling was hit he was technically in "Combat".....But as you can see in replays he still gets a HUGE speed boost which allows him to catch up to Soaz much sooner than he should have. Rocket League has a few unintended mechanics I think but I want to give a special mention to both ceiling shots and flip resets (among others). They both technically use the same bug where you have an infinite amount of time to use your second jump. Normally your ability to jump in the air expires 1.5 seconds after your first jump and you get it back when landing. However the devs overlooked the fact that you didn't necessarily need to jump to get into the air. (Although it has never been confirmed to be a bug, I'm pretty sure it is.) But this bug has led to the most insane stuff in RL where people land on the ball mid air get get their jump back or fall of the ceiling to have their jump available.
