    Although I have seen the economy in the Philippines improving significantly over the last two decades, it strikes me every time that there is still so much poverty and that the amount they earn per day would hardly buy them one ham sandwich is the west.

    • @robertonavarro7713
      @robertonavarro7713 Před 8 měsíci +1

      Things are much cheaper in the Philippines compared to western countries. Although they don;t earn much, the extended family system is still practiced in the Philippines and most of Southeast Asian countries. That means you can get free service thru relatives and friends. In USA, for example, a plumber can charge you hundreds of dollars if you have some sort of problems with your toilet or sink. In the Philippines, especially in the provinces, if you have a cousin who has a cousin who has a friend who happens to be a plumber, the plumber might not charge you at all because of friendly connection. In that case, after fixing the problem, just invite the plumber and your cousin to a beer house, eat, drink and watch some pretty dancing girls until 2AM and everyone goes home drunk but happy. You spent about $20 (in the beer house) to have your clogged toilet fixed, not hundreds of $$$. 😊.

    maybe a video idea if you have not done. it is common businesses expats get involved in with gf or wife in ph. either due to the gf or wife wanting the expat to invest in or as to supplement the expats income living there. the common ones such as sari sari store, bar, piggery, jeepy/ tricycle, tourist resort, restaurant, farming, etc. maybe interview expat/ filipino business owners. how easy to set up, hurdles, issues and likely profits. is it even worth doing? maybe best to leave your money invested in west and just send spending money over. expats maybe interested. plenty of horror stories but also there has been some successes. let us know. many thanks.

With that she helps pay the bills and keep the family fed. She is also the youngest of 3. I went hungry as a child a few times as well. Poverty knows no borders and does not discriminate. wanted to share that GOD JESUS john 3:16 is the best in my life and he owns the cattle on a thousand hills and thanks to JESUS going to the cross dying and raising from the dead I can enter heaven with him and believe it or not the streets in heaven are paved with GOLD. when you accept JESUS as lord you get friends with benefits a supernatural GOD that fights on your behalf as you walk with him while here on his earth that he created, GOD bless in JESUS name.
