For all of you Westerners the lovely 60 year old lady in the first segment makes $12 USD per week sweeping streets and she's fortunate to have a job.
Yes it is
Westerners are ungrateful especially the women
I'm confused - I thought Ismi said 270/day she earned ? -- (php ?) -- At the time I do this - that is $4.84 ? -- ? -- Please help me understand. > How or where did you get $12 - I don't speak her language ? 🤔
@@frankkluz9787 Math. 270 pesos per day. 2.5 days per week. 56 pesos per dollar at the time. $12.05, I rounded down to $12 in my original comment. Understand?

It really chokes me up 😢 to see so many hardworking pinoys who's trying to feed their families. Don't ever stop what you doing Roger & ismi keep working hard 🙏🏾. The same thing for me I'm 26 living my family household saving up paying utilities in America every month my fiance is from isabela 🇵🇭 working her 2 small business which is 🎂 and coffee/tea. I am keeping my prayers pinoy people 🙏🏾
Ismi and Roger. Your kindness is unmeasurable. Thank you to everyone who supports your cause.
Thank you and we are so grateful that there are people who are willing to support.
Thank you Ismi and Roger for all your love and kindness for your people in Philippines
Thank you for telling the stories of ordinary poor filipinos. Working hard to just survive and to feed their families.
Poor is not a good word to say about people the government is poor for letting people earn small wages. Its robbery just like the European colonizers all over the world they make the people suffer then call them poor.
Yes, and price of low cost rice keeps raising!
Rodger/ lsmi . Always show their kindness and love to others regardless of their situation. Which makes them the greatest people you can be friends with. They are my number one family in the Philippines. ❤❤❤
I'm a native American and I feel so bad that you have to work so hard to get rice to eat when people hear waste of rice and you are giving it out for a Christmas bless you and your husband may God be with you ❤
We have many people in America working hard also but still cant pay bills because the cost to live is so so high.
True that's why some expats come to the Philippines because they know they can save here especially retired ones
Have fed at least 600 Venezuelans in the last month and a half in denver. Out of almost completely free food. So many good food banks with excess food in my area especially bread produce and food about to expire.
Good interviews. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome
Ismi, you are a beautiful person for showing so much genuine empathy for the sick man. filipinos are such good people who endure a lifetime of hardships with a smile, and with grace. Thank you for such love and concern for your fellow humans. ❤
She may be a beautiful person for showing so much genuine empathy for the man, but she’s a beautiful person in appearance as well.
Filipinos are some of the hardest working people... amazing with the hard life they still have good spirts they dont try to let it keep them down. Wife and I try to help people when we visit doesn't take much to help. That old man at end..hope things worked out for him...you have a good heart.
Ismi, You and Roger are a blessing to all the people you come in contact with. You show love and compassion for your fellow man and that is what our existence here is all about. God Bless both of you and keep doing what you do.
Learning about side hustles interesting
I love this channel and your generosity! Your daughter steals the show as well. What a little cutey!
I was in Olongapo in the 70s and the Women there were so Beautiful and Sweet ❤! I was in the US Navy so I was in the Bars a lot and I always treated the young Ladies with respect and kindness. They absolutely loved it when I would buy them some chicken or any food! Most Beautiful people I have ever known, I was only 19 then! Love Y'all ❤❤❤!!!
Ismi you show that your heart is bigger than the planet. Your caring and love is an inspiration to everyone. I want to thank both you and Roger for sharing this with us. It is sometimes hard for those of us that had hardship in our lives but now not so much. It is sometimes hard to realize others are far worse off than we are.
You love, compassion and respect to your fellow human beings is wonderful to see.
Love and peace to you both from Canada.

Thank you brother filipinos always see positivity in every situation
Thank you Roger and ismi
For doing this the thing
That bothers me the most
is the poverty in the Philippines and the kids that
the parents can't afford and
are put out in the city and
The elderly it's very sad
you know what is really sad, so many young single moms here, they have kids with no job or money. Another person i know here just go pregnant, she is 20 and no job. irresponsible young girls so many in PI
Ismi great outfit. Looking gwapa.
Very touching video…. May God Bless you and Roger and the Sponsor… Hailie is so cute playing with the baby….
Thank you for the video
Much respect for you and your family.
Great video on real life in the Philippines. Awesome channel guys 👍👍
Thank you so much brother
I'm crying while watching😢❤❤
Although I have seen the economy in the Philippines improving significantly over the last two decades, it strikes me every time that there is still so much poverty and that the amount they earn per day would hardly buy them one ham sandwich is the west.
Things are much cheaper in the Philippines compared to western countries. Although they don;t earn much, the extended family system is still practiced in the Philippines and most of Southeast Asian countries. That means you can get free service thru relatives and friends. In USA, for example, a plumber can charge you hundreds of dollars if you have some sort of problems with your toilet or sink. In the Philippines, especially in the provinces, if you have a cousin who has a cousin who has a friend who happens to be a plumber, the plumber might not charge you at all because of friendly connection. In that case, after fixing the problem, just invite the plumber and your cousin to a beer house, eat, drink and watch some pretty dancing girls until 2AM and everyone goes home drunk but happy. You spent about $20 (in the beer house) to have your clogged toilet fixed, not hundreds of $$$. 😊.
Thank you, for the honest information. I always wanted to know. Keep it up please.
I know the harsh realities of low pay there... Oh Cuteness overload Hallie playing with the infant...God Bless you Ate' & Kuya and everyone who contributes❤

My gf is very poor there too, she has 2 kids, pays over 200 a month in bills, works almost everyday to barely support her kids, this is making me cry so much, i want so much to go there and help support her but im in canada and barely paying my bills as well, even when i do get to visit her i have no savings so ill have to go back home just to make money to help her out :(
Canada is crap hole, Philippines paradise
Same for me
life is hard for normal people in many asian countries, thxs u rozerismi
As an American in Cebu, I tip like I do in America. No wonder the waiters are shocked. I tipped a guy 2000 pesos on a 10000 peso tab. He tried to hug me.
He tried to hug you because he was so thankful and grateful
Legal ver esse país lindo das filipinas, muito lindo esse projeto de vocês ok ❤
Pleasure To meet You 😊
Good interview. Thanks for sharing. It would be interesting to hear the same from mall workers, and other upper level jobs.
Thank you so much, we will do that soon brother
Another great vid
Amazing people!!!!!
Thank you
Thankyou for this video, makes me so sad to see people struggle, I just want to help people and I will, cant wait to change peoples lives, Im so blessed here in Australia, most Australians have no idea, myself included, this video really helped me to understand how hard it is there.
Australians are soft people
Good Job Keep Me Posted.😊
Thank you! Will do!
The exchange rate is about 56 pesos = $1. So, if someone makes 400 pesos/day, that is about $7. It they make 4,000 pesos/month, that is about $71.
not enough wage, inflation is hitting the Philippines poor people will suffer much.
@@RogerIsmiVlogs inflation is the hidden tax that always hits the poor hardest. This will never be fixed if we continue to use currency that is designed to lose value.

great video, inspiring to see hard working people and trying there best no matter how hard the struggle is. Hopefully it shows perspective to those of us in the west who bitch how hard things are...
It’s so heartbreaking!!😢
Yes we feel so sorry seeing these people working so hard every day to earn more but still it's not enough
It’s actually much lower wages than USA, But cost of living much lower here as well. PHILIPPINES is below about 40% be,ow most Western countries when averaging I pay 400 a day, to locals labor, 600 skilled. Yes rice is gone up, God Bless Tito
400 to 600 is the minimum wage
Very touching stories.
Yes it is, thank you for watching
Heartwarming

It so different in Philippines than usa in usa most are very private about there wages.
I appreciate these hard working people but would be great for you to also interview middle class jobs, nurses, teachers etc
Cute outfit!
British ako, pero Philippino ako sa puso ko.
1) Your hearth is so huge and kind, I pray to God that you live a very blessed life!
2) What languages is that? It's like Spanish with an accent, I understand most of it!
I thought the same; I'm learning Spanish
Breaks my heart to see such poverty with no hope of escaping. Education has to be the best way to a better life. If I understand correctly there is no social or government programs to help. Not even some sort of retirement plan? Hopefully with economic growth there is a way to fund something. God bless 🙏
You're story is very touching and breaks my heart that so many struggle day to day. I was wondering, thoughtful gift as it was, how she was going to carry 10k of rice home?
More than likely she will ride a tricycle if she lives too far away
Lisud ang kinabuhe sa kabos besag asa basta tigowang nata helabe na sa Cebu City.
I wish a lot of Americans had the same work ethic that so many people in the East have.
maybe a video idea if you have not done. it is common businesses expats get involved in with gf or wife in ph. either due to the gf or wife wanting the expat to invest in or as to supplement the expats income living there. the common ones such as sari sari store, bar, piggery, jeepy/ tricycle, tourist resort, restaurant, farming, etc. maybe interview expat/ filipino business owners. how easy to set up, hurdles, issues and likely profits. is it even worth doing? maybe best to leave your money invested in west and just send spending money over. expats maybe interested. plenty of horror stories but also there has been some successes. let us know. many thanks.
❤
Him Good Job Call The Lodge Call Sign Anubis 😊😊
thanks you very much for your kind heartiness ..which city is this?
San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Thank you so much
All province in the Philippines minimum wage is 270 pesos equivalent of $5. Per day. It doesn’t increase the minimum wage!
question, how do l process to send money, so. that you can help the less fortunate?
That is so sad. I gather there are no government programs to help its people. Ate there no churches or other charities that offer sacks of groceries (rice) or hot meals to whomever shows up?
Great job guys,so sad to see
I love this. How can I donate some items or cash?
Sorry guys! Don't ever stop to do what your heart tell you to do
Yes

Cute kid
The young couple-So young at 21yrs old - Already had 2 young kids - They and the children will suffer - Incomes not enough to survive comfortably! No wonder - Phillipines is over population of 100 Millions!
200 pesos is $3.60 U.S. money.
Is this San Carlos - where Calvin lives also ? (sunshine shoulders) There seems to be more than one of them ? -- I'm in the US and confused - not sure.
Yes this is in San Carlos
I really wonder how those Filipinos manage to survive with that little money
Maraming salamat for this. I know even 300 pesos a day isn´t enough. Thank you for giving the rice. How can they have a place to live with an income less than 300?
Its tough in the Philippines
Yes, and getting tough all over the World
Lodge Number 449

Thanks, I know he's happy
Also, isn't the earned wages taxed at like 32% as well? So gross, and net when making a couple hundred a day is something to consider bottom line. My girl makes a total of 4800 a month. With that she helps pay the bills and keep the family fed. She is also the youngest of 3. I went hungry as a child a few times as well. Poverty knows no borders and does not discriminate. Just do what you can folks. If everyone did, the world would be a much better place.
How much does 10 kg of rice cost in php?
560 pesos brother
I feel sorry more the homeless people in America living in a tent.
us too we feel sorry for all who suffer
How much is a bag of rice for the people you talk to ?
1 sack of rice ranges 2500pesos to 2700pesos
But if it's 10 kilos depends on what type of rice you'll be buying this rice is 560php
That is for a 50 kilo bag of rice. About 2600 pesos.
Anyone can make more money if you put in the effort and motivation.
True, but there are fewer opportunities for the un-skilled and un-educated in poor Countries.
@@commonsenseisntcommon1776 Find those opportunities, they are there.
Depressing. Why didn’t you ask the teachers, call center employees, professionals too?
i cannot go to the pi....my 9.3k usd a month will not go far.

im 62 from Atlanta Georgia U S my wife from Biliran island i take care of my inlaws an one of there grand sons who lives with them in Biliran light bill gas to cook big bag of rice an give them 10 k peso every mouth

Roger and ismi if you live in manila
Can you live on 14,000 pesos a month salary can you live on that like pay rent and feed yourself properly. I have a freind in manila that makes that and her rent is 6000 pesos a month shared but she is a diabetic and spemds 1800 for insulin and her
Roomate spends 1800 at least on iron supplements as she is iron anemia and diabetes pills which are 1520 pesos for iron and 300 for metaformin for diabetes pills . Your opinion is much apreciated. Dont worry i help them alot every month her cousin has a tia and ive been paying for her high school i spend right now like at least $400 cdn but one girl is in the process of getting work just got her requirements for work and pre employment medical for work first job she has dver had hopefully and she is 25 years old
So $1000 Australian is good money right.
$640 USD? Not hardly, multiply that x4 at the minimum in order to live comfortably.
