Confession: Sometimes I watch these videos in czech and in english, because their jokes are sometimes language related and are different in otherwise same video so it is fun to watch twice in different language. And it is always fun, they are that good. And also I can practice my english that way.

for me it is like discussion of BLM. -> if somebody breaks the law, should pay the price, doesnt matter the skin color. But hearing stuff BLM this, BLM that..basically i hate activism.
Ppl instead of going to work, they take day of and do some stupid protest..and block highway f.e like the eco activists..I am so triggered by the eco activits i would mostlikely snap and driven my car into them..

There was a restaurant you showed with star lights on the ceiling. I went to Prague just for that place. We ended up loving it. We Go there every time we go now. I'm a chef so when I say it's bloody brilliant food I really mean it and I am not a vegan.
Janek, you are one of the best presenters on any screen in the world. You and Honza are producing excellent shows. After being in Prague in 2019, I can see the pride you have in your city and appreciate how your videos are working to make it a better place. The tourism will always be there because it is such an amazing city to see. I Would like to see more of you guys out in the rest of the world. I enjoyed your coverage of other cities in other countries. Keep up the good work.

I only wish their videos had more effect on legislation and police did not let the scammers go away so easily. This is huge problem. I get rly angry when some scammer steals you money and he is out of prison after one day or so.. thats fucking retarded..

Yeah, here too. However, I still have to improve my language skills so that I don't accidentally order such a milk beer. As an American friend said, "That would be ONE way to start World War III."đ
For one, I can help you with a tip! "Czech" is either an adjective, as in "Czech beer". It can also signify the nationality of a person, f.e. "My wife is Czech".
However, it is not the name of the country. The country can be called either "Czechia" or "The Czech Republic".
The issue with calling the country "Czech" is the fact that Czechia actually consists of 3 parts - Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. Historically, the word "Czech" kinda only referred to the part called Bohemia and it is not fair towards the rest of the country.

I applaud your honesty by not taking free food & drinks, (although free stuff DOES taste the best) This has to be the best channel of this type in my humble opinion.
Usually my friend and i go to Germany on our motorcycles, but this year our trip is mainly Prague and all the Restaurants/Cafe's & Bars will be from yyour Honest guide video's! So Thank You both. đâđ€đđ€đđ Oh, & I feel sorry for you Honza đ :)

Dude, I've just stayed in Prague for 8 days and watching all your videos about Prague was really useful and fun! I checked out some of the food places you recommended and also exchanged my money at an honest exchange place thanks to your map. As I got to know the city more and more, I also started to recognize some locations in your videos which was pretty cool. When I met a Czech friend yesterday he recommended me this one CZcams channel (it was the Honest Guide) as well. So clearly, you're loved by everyone, be it locals or tourists and you genuinely make your city and the experiences we all have better. So thank you! I wish every major city would have CZcamsrs like you who give advice and try to improve their cities with regard to tourism.
Love all the short Honza comments below. Someone asked about making a guide for Plzen. I'd take it a step further and suggest making a guide for the Czech Republic (I hate that it is now called Czechia). There are so many interesting places there to see. My father's parents were born near Plzen and I've never been there.
Well, a lot of interesting places are already in the video's.
I've been going through the CR (and CZ...) on my bike, car, train, bus and of course trams quite a lot and there are toooo many nice places to cover in 100's of video's I think. Covering them all by foot would be a bit much.
As a fact though, I did not spend much time near Plzeñ but also a nice place. I guess: just go and visit.

I found your channel only a few weeks before my first (and so far only) visit to Prague a few years ago, and you undoubtedly saved me from the money change scammers. I cannot wait to go back and visit many of the restaurants, pubs and cafés you recommended. Last time I was at an AirBNB one street over from that outdoor market, a 2-minute walk from the Old Town Square and every time you film there I keep hoping you'll walk down that street to where I stayed :)

Love this channel, I was living in Prague from 2006 to 2012 and its really changed in that period. Lovely city, been going there since 2002. If I hadn't got home sick, I would still be living there now.

CZcams algorithm happened to put your video about the Vignette scam on my feed. It was so well made I started watching all your others. The quality of your videos, not just the topic, is what sets you apart. Then when i saw your back story that you both started wanting to make movies since you were kids, and directed your lives at that, it all made sense as to why this is not a normal CZcams channel video.
Jan - I am amazed at how you speak English with no accent at all. You don't sound Czech, you sound American. I thought you must have left Czechia when you were a kid, grown up in the US and then came back, but your other video show me this isn't the case.
Honza - your framing is often absolutely beuatiful. Especaily the way you frame things in the metro.The edits with the synchronisation of titles, music and sound effects is spot on.
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.

Iâm currently preparing for a study abroad trip to Prague. The university recommended your channel, which was funny to me because Google caught wind of it months prior and started recommending yâall about 3 months prior. Crazy, right?

I visited Prague in Oct 2021 and your guides made our time there amazing! I love traveling like a local and you made it possible. The biggest takeaways were your advice on finding honest money exchanges, and how use beer price to tell if a bar is a tourist trap. My favorite hidden spot was Cafe Academia overlooking St Wenceslas Sq.
I go to Prague at least once a year and I always make a point to check out places you feature. They are all just as awesome as shown in the videos.

That said, IMO manners and respect should always be top priority when going into someone elses domain... it shouldn't depend on how many subs you have!
So only having 250 subs is a sad excuse for not worrying about your manners or respect toward a business you start recording a video inside of.
