Will try to get one of those running here in Phoenix AZ - thanks for the presentation - Jon N7UV
I'm very glad people are working on protocols better than old ax.25. I'm curious how this protocol compares to the new M17 protocol that seems to already be supported by the latest mobilink TNC and has many other hardware options in the works.
The tindie marketplace sez the seller's not available until early May. When it returns, I'll grab a pair and see what I can do!
Is there a client ready for the IS side? I use YAAC on APRS and it works great for IS and RF. I'm sure Andrew woulds welcome baked code he could use to intergrate CATS into YAAC if given the chance
This seems to be a complete replacement to AX.25, but you never reference that. APRS is just an app that runs over an AX.25 protocol. Your presentation on CATS seems to commingle both into one thing. Can I use the CATS physical layer for some kind of IP link?
Well, I just feel dumb. LOL
