  • There is a pact of trust between the reader and the writer.
    Samuel Taylor Coleridge called it the principle of suspension of disbelief.
    The reader suspends his own critical sense and trusts the writer’s words in order to enjoy the story.
    The writer has to use clear and consistent rules to build his story’s world and he never has to break that rules.
