Over the Ratagan Pass and down to Glenelg and Bernera Beach - Driving the UK

  • It's steep, twisty, singletrack and on the edge of a mountain. It's 9 miles and it feels like 30. If you're lucky you won't meet anyone coming the other direction, if you're not then you'll meet a timber HGV like I did! It's alpine style driving in the UK.
    Stop at the car park (Mam Ratagan) to admire the view, catch your breath and let your engine cool down.
    At Glenelg you can decide to either go back the same way, or hop on the original Ferry across to the Isle of Skye after getting a coffee at the ferry cafe.
