    I'm 71, been into rock, blues, jazz, classical and various international folk music, for almost 60 years. I've heard countless great bands, going back to early 1960s, Cream, Ten Years After, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, LIVE, later SRV, Gary Moore, and all the great metal bands of the 1980s. Add to this blues masters, jazz, classical, with net effect of deep appreciation for all forms of great music.
    Love Bites totally blows me away. They are one of the all time great Super Bands. The fact they compose, write, arrange, score their own music, lyrics. adds to their creative brilliance. Love Bites is the ReAL DEAL! LOVE LOVE BITES!

  • @HorrorMetalMaestroRedrusty66

    I'll tell ya a story about why this is probably the 100th metal reaction i've watched to LoveBites by various metalheads on youtube. Early 2018, I was directed to this little video by a metal friend, it was some band called LoveBites and a little song called Don't Bite The Dust (Still my favorite to this day). I sat there with my mouth hanging open, strange chills and goosebumps rode my body like a rodeo cowboy and I was mesmerized by this sound. I had not heard this sound since Priest, Maiden, Helloween and Dragon Force broke my speakers in the late 80's. I scoured ebay and found the Awakening.album from an importer there and here it went. I then watched these 3 years as slowly, metalheads began finding it, and I began to see vids pop up of Shadow Maker, Rising, Destinies, Holy War ect,ect. It thrills me to no end to have been there from the beginning, it was my (And a few of my international friends) OMFG secret we were all willing to share and watch happily as others found it. It's now exploded as it should have and I LOVE seeing all these faces of metalheads being melted. It's so cool knowing whats coming as I watch their faces, watch it hit them, watch them MELT and remember that stunned look, and watch it as it rolls across faces now in 2020. This band is a Metal GoD band, and I am so glad they are getting the attention they deserve now. Go back to that 1st song, Don't Bite The Dust and right up to now, it's always been a face melting non stop, never a bad song ride. So Glad to now be welcoming so many to this thing called LoveBites...enjoy.

    Yes, the winds of rock metal that blow from japan are bewitched, you step on the entrance to the hole, but you are tempted to enter, then a war starts in your head, "-will I go", then you say, "- I'll try ", bingo!, it was already my dear, you can't resist and start your journey through hard rock, power metal, melodic metal, kawai metal, etc, etc and etc

  • @rodrigoinostroza2359
    @rodrigoinostroza2359 Před 4 lety +11

    Nice reaction! LOVEBITES is an incredible band and they can fill the taste for people who are into Heavy/Speed/Power/Thrash Metal. Their live performances are fire, you really have to check them out live.
    In Japan there's a lot all female rock bands. They all look very innocent and pretty, but they rock really hard. You can check out bands like Mary's Blood or Doll$Boxx. I even recommend you to check out the legendary band SHOW-YA, a classic 80's all female hard rock band that paved the way for other bands to come.
    I was in Japan like a year ago and it's amazing how Rock and Metal is alive. You don't need to go to underground stores to get this kind of music, no, they sell their albums in crowded areas, near shopping malls or places like that, they promote their videos in giants screens on the street, etc. For example, when BAND-MAID released their latest album "CONQUEROR", there was a incredible giant poster of rhythm guitarist Miku, in a building near to Shibuya crossing street. It's awesome how rock bands are promoted in Japan.
    My recommendation is, if you can travel to Japan, go to Tower Records in Shibuya, a building with seven floors (yes, seven!!) full of music. In the first floor there're new releases, in the second you can find a Café with books, an the rest of the floors, you can find music from everywhere: japanese, korean, chinese, european, american, there's a floor with only classical music. Man, I was blown away and I spent hours there discovering amazing bands. And the people who work there always helps you.
    Hope you can go there sometime, It'll be an amazing experience.

And almost everything in full speed. I have read complaints about Electric Pentagram, that they never got a chance to breath...but I enjoy every second of it! The good live clips from the DVDs are always taken down from CZcams, so you better order them! ;) One you only get from the Clockwork Immortality, special edition CD. So you're going down the rabbit hole of Japanese Metal? I suggest these are the next songs you should look at as you explore that rabbit hole:
    Lovebites - When Destinies Align, Rising (Live), Epilogue (Live), Break The Wall (Live)
    Babymetal - Road Of Resistance, Akatsuki, Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischiefs Of God Intro, Ijime Dame Zettai (each one live)
    Unlucky Morpheus - Get Revenge On The Tyrant, Knight Of Sword, Black Pentagram (all live), Cadaver/Revadac (MV with sheet music)
    Band Maid - Doesn't matter. Whatever you can find, preferably live except for Blooming & Reincarnation. Stick to the MVs for those two.
    Fuki - Bloody Rain
    Galneryus - Destiny, Raise My Sword, Angel Of Salvation, Force Of Courage (each one live)

    Thought you would enjoy Lovebites. They get called brides maids meets metal, for their white stage costumes. They wear white to stand out on stage and when you see live footage, it is very effective. Iron Maiden meets DragonForce, is probably the best well known description for the music from the Lovebites ladies. There are single song live videos taken from their Bloodstock appearance on YT but through no fault of their own, the audio is not good. For those of us who know the studio versions of the songs it is ok but if you get recommended a live track, try to avoid anything from their Bloodstock gig. Thank you for another reaction video with information about the band. So refreshing from the do nothing but sit there, like and subscribe gang.

    Everything this band has released has been on this level. Their third album is basically this song on steroids, and it's 71 minutes. Gotta pace yourself if you want to survive. XD I've been a fan since their first EP was released and I'm still blown away by their talents.
    I honestly don't know how they survive their concerts. They're just mind-blowingly good. And if you haven't checked out what they're like live yet, they have two live Blu-rays and a third on the way in July. The first live Blu-ray comes with the Japanese edition of their second album and the second is a standalone release. Definitely well worth the costs of importing them.
    Once you start down the road of Japanese hard rock and metal, there's no turning back. There's an enormous amount of musical talent coming out of Japan. As far as recommendations go, there are simply way too many to list here. But if you love Lovebites, some other similar bands that are worth checking out are: Mary's Blood, Aldious, Bridear, Unlucky Morpheus, and Mardelas. And Destrose, of course. It's amazing how many good metal bands have come about because of Destrose.

      @clonedllama Před 4 lety

      @@RockyHarder You're welcome! And sure! CDJapan.co.jp would be my recommendation. They specialize in exporting Japanese products. Especially music and collectibles. And they support PayPal as well as international credit cards. They don't always have the lowest prices for products but they're very reliable. If they sell a limited edition to you, you're guaranteed to have it reserved as soon as your order is processed. Amazing packaging too. Lots of padding and they secure everything really well. They also give you reward points based on what you spend. A great way to get shipping mostly paid for every so often.
      The downside is importing music can be rather expensive, and it's more so right now since Japan Post has suspended sending mail to numerous countries around the world due to COVID-19. FedEx and DHL are still shipping to most countries. But if you buy several items at once you can greatly reduce the shipping costs.
      Here's a list of all of Lovebites' currently released material. The only release not included is their first EP. It's almost impossible to find on CD now. But all 4 songs are on their first album and can be bought on iTunes if you want those versions of the songs. The EP version of "Bravehearted" has Japanese lyrics instead of English like the rest of their songs. They used slightly different guitar effects in the original version of "Don't Bite the Dust." And there are a few other minor differences.

    Great band, I've been listening to their new album on repeat lately. Another all-female band from Japan that gets way to little attention in my opinion is Galmet. Their song The Metter's Anthem is great for example: czcams.com/video/OCqE2F5atPE/video.html

    The Japanese are just flat out smoking our western bands, and it’s the female bands that are the best, thank God I heard The MAIDS which are my personal favorites and always will but thanks to them I’ve found all these kick a$$ bands like this band and many more, Japan just gets it

    As you seem to like this Huge song as MUCH I do as well - Yes, we can travel There Together in the beg. of the nexxxt year! :-) :-D - I suggest you check out "where it all began" = A good logical decision right-right?! :-) I mean that Destrose-band you seem to know already and where Lovebites two founding/originating members played before this Awesomeness! :-D Which isn´t technically yet really This grrreat (well what is, huh?!), but still and already very very good and strong heavy metal musick indeed them too.
    Unfortunately only one full complicate music video by Destrose can be seen here in CZcams and it´s their track Fenixx, but what the heck, it IS a really good one! So do yourself a Favor and check it out asap!
    Which Destrose actually did though have imho one even better "thing" in it than Lovebites has = Their wonderful amazing vocalist Marina!!

  • @workloadspd

    Why ? Because people judge these bands by their appearance or the show on stage.
    "What? Girls in maids outfit ?! Bah u can`t be serious with that goofy crap"
    "Some chicks in girly outfits pretending to play instruments while flaunting their assets"
    "Lol whut ?!? You listen to some 15 year old girls singing and dancing on stage ? How lame are you"
    And after that they get their asses handed hard by bands like BAND-MAID, LOVEBITES or BABYMETAL.

      You are just beginning down the rabbit hole of Japanese bands my friend. There is a whole all Women metal and rock band scene in Japan. I highly recommend you check out "we are" by the Osaka band Aldious. I promise you will not regret it. Their drummer is amazing. She is a Goddamn machine on the drums.
