Changes:
-An alternative early game setup is a pickonimbus + silverfish pet for extra mining wisdom. This is only viable if you have enough coins at the time to afford it

-I didn't mention the gold or diamond essence shops, you can get helpful perks from these
-There is an accessory (talisman, ring and artifact) of power. You can put gemstones in it and it's extremely useful due to it giving extra pristine.

- 10:42 - you can put the tools in storage to continue to grind them
You can easily get the 250k for pickonimbus from the sand you mined at the start
How the ruby route work ?
A few things you forgot to mention:
-For non ironman players, the best money making method at any point after 4m/4m powder if you have the money is jasper mining. To do this, you need to find a rare fairy grotto, but Mining cult (discord server) has a channel where people sell them, and it's fairly active, though i'd recommend only buying the shrine, mansion, and palace grottoes, since they're the only grottoes without an ungodly amount of downtime inbetween jasper veins (in mansion and palace's case, infinite as long as you don't have basically hypermaxed gear, I have an X655 and hypermaxed divan's and can get infinites , so you should be fine, though i am skill issued, so my block efficiency is bad, so you should keep that in mind) You actually mention this in a newer video, but I think it's important to mention here since this is probably the first of the two videos people will watch.
-The Gemstone gauntlet technically isn't a drill. Just a small nitpick.
-Compact is nice to have for wisdom, but considering you're earlygame by this point in the video, other upgrades are better.
-You really don't need another money making method to get into mining, you just need to powder grind (which you should do before you seriously consider mining a valid money making option anyways) I mined from 0 effective powder (maybe like 200k/200kish?) to 4m/4m in the jungle with a jungle pick and got 100m from the sludge alone. That should be enough for full sorrow with a gemstone gauntlet with pristine, as well as flawless topaz and fine gemstones for everything else. Don't get jaded on your sorrow, as you won't be keeping this for long and it will just make it harder to sell later on.
-You sort of mentioned this in the powder grinding section, but 5m/5m isn't entirely necessary. 4m/4m is fine as that maxes the mithril side of the tree.
-Skytils is the mod that has the chest helper
-I mentioned this previously, but mining in the jungle with a jungle pick is the best method for powder grinding. it gives you 100m by the end of your grind, which essentially reduces startup costs to merely the cost of the jungle pick.
-Mining cult has a ruby progression guide (it more or less applies to mining in general now that dillo is dead) that shows which upgrades are most efficient in terms of coins spent:improved rates. Refer to this if you're not sure what to upgrade next.
-There's actually quite a few ways to improve your powder rates when powder grinding. Mithril golem and scatha give a 30% boost to mithril and gemstone powder respectively at level 100, and the mithril and jasper drills increase mithril and gemstone powder gained by 20% when holding them (you don't need to uncover chests holding them, just open the chests holding them). And of course, the 2x powder events in CH help IMMENSELY with this grind, to the point where it would be reasonable to grind only during those events (not that I specifically recommend that, of course)
- I seriously can't stress this enough, HOTM PERK PRIORITIZATION AND MANAGEMENT!!! you had the tree, but didn't mention how to distribute your powder. For powder grinding, get mole to level 41 or 31 if you're really poor on powder, this is basically free, and then ONLY put powder into great explorer until you max it. Being able to right click chests is way better than any other upgrade you can make at this point. Then, get all the free levels in powder buff you can, then dump all your powder into mole until you get to level 71. At this point, you can start putting more powder into powder buff, balancing it with mole, but generally letting powder buff have higher priority. When you're actually done powder grinding, (i'll assume you're at 4m/4m as it's where I stopped) max fortunate because it's a basically free 100 mining fortune, than put all of your powder into mining speed and fortune I. If you can't get level 50 on both (i assume you'd have to leave one of the two at 49) then max out fortune, as it's much more useful than speed. For gemstone, balance between mining speed and fortune too, as well as the efficient perk. The gemstone powder perks are much more unforgiving, so only expect to get these to around level 40. once you max those perks, seasoned mineman I guess? it doesn't really matter after that. If you have any extra mithril powder, put it into quick forge.
It might sound like I'm being hyper critical, but I genuinely think this is a good guide (for the most part), I just wanted to stop newer players from making some of the mistakes I did. Hope this helps anyone on their mining journey!
Ps: I've looked over the new mining update on alpha, as of 3/27/24 it's self contained for the most part, the equipment recommendations might just become a bit outdated, and there might be a better mining money making method than jasper, but other than that the video should still be pretty relevant and accurate.

Good guide! However best beginner setup is pickonimbus with a silverfish pet for extra mining wisdom. While grinding hotm7, according to #4 miner and my personal experience it’s good to do a mix of both as you mentioned. Getting gemstone and mithril collections/powder up is great before even starting powder grind

not its not its pickonumbus with dillo so u can finish the gemstone quest faster
@@synapsx5034 gemstone comms aren’t technically the fastest way to hotm7 because dwarven comms exist and you can frequently knock out 2 at once

- 4m 4m is the lowest u need 4m 12m is the best amount
-do crystal hollow commissions as soon as you get hotm 3. its easier and faster.
- dont craft a gauntlet and max it, buy a maxed out one from ah its 10-13m cheaper for a maxed out one
- forge the gemstone mixtures and forge the armour it will only take 3 days total its like 20 - 30m cheaper you can forge mixtures before hotm 6
-forge chambers if you still don't have the powder you want you save 20-24m
- never mine ruby if you're not iron man you make no money mine mf sapphire, amber, amethyst and jade or jasper. normal jade is fine if you don't wanna set up a lobby
- you can just search hotm tree skyblock and find one that's better
What mod do you use for your route
Dwarven Mines comms are faster than Crystal Hollows comms especially before hotm6 now that they give 400 HOTM xp per comm.

Hey I was wondering what I should do I have kinda skipped some stuff yet am not very good in other areas I have about 2m powder each an also maxed out gemstone (jade, topaz and amber) gauntlet recommed perfects pristine 5 compact 9 and I have maxed out divan perfect gemstones recommed jaded. I don't have any equipment pieces yet. I do have a recommed artifact of power with perfect jade topaz and amber and a 555x drill or whatever its called and am close to upgrading it or getting it one of the two. I am also hotm 6 and about 50% 60% to homt 7 but lazy as hell and don't want to do powder grinding or hotm exp grinding.
You should get to hotm7 first. Then work on getting your powder up, and of course buy the correct equipment. At that point you should have a good enough setup to make like 18-20m/hr

2 months or so. I’d suggest doing extra commissions each day once u get hotm 6 until u get bored just to speed it up

I use Sildurs vibrant shaders on pretty extreme settings
@@Equalizedd_ I thought so too, I run those shaders at max and run at a nice 180+ fps, but as soon as I play skyblock the shader just...breaks
