jacky was my childhood dog, we grew up together and held a lot of memories together. she helped me through some really rough times and i will always thank her for her companionship.
a week before her passing, she had a stroke and we took her to the vet where she was diagnosed with a severe brain hemorrhage with her health declining rapidly. she wouldn’t eat or drink by herself, she couldn’t control her bowels, she was in a constant state of confusion & didn’t know where she was. She had no balance and was on pain medication.
it was the vets recommendation for this heartbreaking event and so I took her on this mini adventure that you see before you. she ran around, ate her ham and wagged her tail which she hadn’t done at all since being diagnosed. i also cut out all the footage of her walking in circles of confusion, loosing her balance & her bowels as i didn’t want to remember her last moments like that.
I am a creator online. I share my life with the world but I wanted to purely film this with the intention of having this video to watch back on and smile, to remember Jacky and our last moments together. Uploading online means it’s here forever and I want to be able to watch this video forever so all the snarky ‘you only uploaded this for views’ comments are disgusting & wrong. I don’t care for views, I care for community and connection and people who are grieving need connection. All the comments joking that she’s going to space or the moon are wrong and disgusting. I hope you never have to experience someone joking about a deceased loved one and to all the comments telling me that she was perfectly healthy and fine- it’s a 30 second video on the internet. you don’t see everything & your assumptions are small minded. and to the small group of people who keep doing this: please don't come to my other videos asking if Jacky is okay or if I still miss her because I think that's so immature and weird...
She was my childhood best friend and I miss her everyday. It’s been three months and not a day goes by where I think she’s going to be behind the door when I open it, where she’ll be walking down the hallway to my room every morning to say hi, where she’ll be soaking herself in the sun in her favourite spot and beg for my food everytime i open the fridge. I miss my angel girl so much 💌
It's all worth the grieving to have 14 years of joy & friendship with your dog.
You could tell that she loved her final car ride and her final walk,play in her final moments with you Shelley. Rest easy Jacky.

😢 I love how you spent her last day doing what she loves most of all, eating her favorite food. They deserve to be loved just as they love us. My heart breaks for you having lost something so very precious and dear to you, it's not easy. I'm so grateful for the time you both shared together and for the love you both shared.
I lost my childhood Jack Russel in 2019. I hope they get to meet in doggy heaven. Rest in peace Jacky, and for the owner I hope you’ve enjoyed your time together. The pain does ease though it never truly gone. I love my Jack Russel more than anything and I’ll never forget the way she comforted me. ❤
