Your videos are f… fantastic.
I listen to them all day when I drive around in my garbage truck and can’t wait to get home to my rytm.
But then when I finally get home I always realise that I have 2 small kids that unfortunately don’t understand that daddy needs
His rytm time. Well that’s life.
Please keep making these awesome videos
It’s
All I got 😂
Amazing!! So happy to hear these sounds are being blasted out of your garbage, f***ing awesome.
I hear/see kids take up a lot of time and energy. Me and my partner don’t have kids, and still find balancing time a struggle. Still, life is life, as you say.
I used to get home from delivering post for years, and struggled with having any energy left to create anything. I managed to normally do something but after struggling for ten years i had to bail and do something else. Put myself temporarily homeless to do it too 😂
It can be tough, but happy to hear these sounds keep you company on the job. 🚛🖤
great sound design, all those individual outs on the Analog Rytm are perfect for an external mixer setup!
Thanks. Yeah it really opens up the Rytm with the mixer. Held off using one for ages just to extract as much as i could from the Rytm, but happy to be using it with the mixer finally
@@ExpectResistance Does using the external outputs mean you can't record separate tracks using Overbridge? I'm guessing you can't....great sounds btw
Enjoyed this before my Sunday breakfast, great way to start the day lol.
Niice 🖤
omg my fave sounddesigner what an amazing sound
Appreciated 🖤🖤💜😇
Oh shit! Congrats on the job at point blank! I know plenty of students from there and they're all lovely ppl
Ah thanks, appreciated. They all seem great people so pretty pleased.
🔥as the kids say
Cheers. Yeah these kids love setting stuff on fire still 🔥😂
Blown away by your channel. Really enjoying the approach you take to making music.
Appreciate it, thanks. Glad it’s enjoyable 🖤
ER's dubby DUB AR
= good stuff
Cheers. Good to be back 🖤
sounds great! Glad to have you back!
Thank you 🖤🖤
Sick man!!
Cheers, glad you like it 🧡
Thank you for your videos, have watched a couple others earlier. Interesting sonic territory you explore here, would you mind sharing the setup connections you made for this video? (routing from AR to mixer, etc). No worries if you don't want as well :) Cheers
Hey, sure, happy to share anything. I run 6 outputs for the drums: BD, SD, BT, LT, CH and CY and output from L and R which is only the fx, then I also use the Boss RE202 and finally the Lexicon LX-1. These are all plugged in from left to right on the Mackie 1202 mixer. I use one auxiliary for the Boss and the other set to pre-fader for the Lexicon. I hope that helps.
Glad you are enjoying it all. Cheers 🖤
@@ExpectResistanceI've been looking for ways to break this box a little bit open ... it has been quite a firm programmy experience with this drum machine. It hasn't inspired me so far. Im looking for ways where things could become a little organic when it comes to textures. Something similar maybe to feedback systems... and that is why I liked this video... But still I wonder if it is possible to do without any additional gear ....
Programmy was exactly my experience for years using this machine, and generally not liking it for that reason. For me, ultimately it was essentially a work out, forcing myself to work over and over again with this box, getting used to its sound and finding ways to open it up. I enjoy using it now more than ever before, although i still have days i struggle more than i would like.
Pushing the fx distortion and overall Makeup gets it a little more alive, as does setting it up like a mono synth helps a bit. Also using the fx LFO to push the delay out of sync and using delay as texture. These are probably the main areas Ive found useful to get it working for me.
It’s definitely the hardest machine to break, I’ve found.
Yes love it ❤
Cheers 🖤🖤💜🖤🖤
Man I'm just looking at that mixer and wishing you had more auxes and 2 sweepable mids! I could never live with a mixer that limited, you're making it sound great though.
Yeah tell me about it. I put off buying this mixer for years due to no mid sweep and small amount auxiliaries. I have a 16, but it’s just too bulky to take live, and that’s what this small ones for.
Managing to find a reasonable compromise, but yeah, it would be sooo nice to have a mid sweep
mic sounds great here fyi
Ah good to know, thx 👍🖤
I used to record voice over at one of the biggest companies in north america..I'm judgy about this ha @@ExpectResistance
@@0e0 ah nice. That’s good to know.
that lexicon wow! are you also using the boss re202?also I can see the lexicon is coming out the mackie and returning into a stereo channel- so you are not using the mixer return? where is the re202 going into?
Yeah the Boss RE202 is on the last channel.
I rarely use the mixer return as no eq and auxiliary sends available, i always return on the main channels. It allows me to also feed fx into fx as well.
Lexicon is great for sure!
hi! what exactly were you affecting at around 10:30 when you kept hitting the left arrow
Hey
So i was adjusting the tempo, bit like speeding up and slowing down a record by rubbing the edge, and as that was running into the delay, it made the sound cluster in interesting ways, metallic sounding.
@@ExpectResistance 🤯Holy crow, of course! That's awesome.
