I love the long carving turns Lucas! That’s how I ski! My fave runs are steep, groomed blues so I go go fast w long carvers! Grew up in Rome w east coast ice snow! LOL. Racing GS and DH!
Nothing quite like skking on a Monday-Thursday. I have not and refuse to ski on a weekend at any resort within 90 minutes of a major city. I will ski Grand Targhee on the weekends and then go to JH during the weekdays. What a different and better experience it is when it is not crowded on the slopes and you ski right up to the chair. A greater sense of freedom which is what skiing is all about for me.

We were there on Monday as well, weekday skiing for the win. Keystone is on top of it getting a top to bottom run open this early in the season. Looking forward to Copper opening day this coming Monday.

I ski the back side of keystone in April lot of nice runs. It was my first time at altitude… I was sucking wind hard! The view from up there is awesome.
Thanks for the daily early season uploads. I'm stuck in Michigan with nothing but 40's and 50's in the forecast, and I don't think a single resort here will even be able to turn on a snow gun for weeks yet so your vids help keep the stoke up

Question for you: I shoot my family stuff with same GoPros and same settings (thanks for those instructional vids btw) but when I try to upload to CZcams they seem to always look grainy? Any thoughts on uploading to retain quality? Or maybe a future video on full workflow on getting from edit to CZcams? In any case, thanks for continually providing the stoke!!!
thank you! kind of a lot going on here, but i use adobe premiere pro and edit and upload in 4k. i just use the adobe premiere pro 4k youtube export preset and thats it! i have heard that 1080p uploads to youtube have a different compression algorithm which reduces quality more than 4k uploads - not sure if its true or not but thats really all i do! i do like your idea on a full workflow video though!
Just simply search blm land near Keystone or whichever area you are near or free dispersed camping. There is an app (I’m not sure the name of) shows all blm land Since almost all ski areas are in National Forests, quite often there are places to Camp are right next to town

Start more locally, you’ll atleast want a basic understanding of the mechanics so when you get to larger resorts you can make use of the whole place, not worth splurging on a destination ski trip to get stuck on bunny hills for half of it
It sounds like he wrote this as if he skies a lot but just doesn't want to wait for the east to open up. If so, Killington is open and it is definitely not worth it rn

Nothing necessarily happened. There’s “no overnight parking” signs everywhere and cops came around and just told everyone they’re gonna start towing!

Yah I have all those apps (iOverlander). Almost all of the forest roads are closed in the winter or inaccessible due to the snow!
