- An American V8, muscle car from the seventies? This is the rarity we are going to face in today's video! A Dodge Dart that was abandoned for a long time! The owner of this car acquired it at auction for an absurd price and wants insane detailing to make this car new again, will we be able to do it? Because this car is a rare and old car, it has all the factory settings and this adds great value to the car! The owner wants to sell it for fifty thousand dollars! Do you think it's possible?

If the owner wants $50,000 out of that car. I recommend he gets a taxi sign to put on the roof and get to work.. it’s a nice car but the only way it would be worth 50 grand is if it had been vacuum sealed straight out of the factory and had 0 miles
This is a Brazilian Dodge Dart, made and sold here. They were extremely expensive at the time and were produced in very limited quantities, so they really are worth that much here
@@henrique5329 Beaknose dart = low demand. Regardless of where it came from.
@@henrique5329 BS
There's a high demand for these cars here. Of course, they're worth much less in the country where they were produced in large numbers, like the US. To give you an idea, only 95,000 V8 Dodges were ever made in Brazil, and only about 6% of them are still around.
That's a 1974 Dodge dart!!!! NOT A 70!
I agree, not a '70, perhaps a '75. Big bumper cars are not worth much and this one is NOT worth $50,000. Left rear quarter is severly rusted under the yellow paint.
@@dondetmer2406 75 had a different grille. This is a 74.
A '70 has the same fascia as a Demon and only in '70. Of all the Darts in this body style the '70 is the most valuable and best looking. Why did Chrysler allow such an ugly front and rear to be produced after already having the best grill and tail they could've hoped for? Idiots!
@@Dartman440with a name like this I think you would definitely know
@@jonathancrincoli6263 I have had Dart’s since i was 15 years old. I dont know much, but i know my Dart’s…
Nice car, But the owner wants $50,000 NOPE!!
Here in Brazil is easy to sale for this price.
Take it to Brasil and sell.
GOOD LUCK
He should have never took the black stripe off the car that decreased the value I just don't see getting $50,000 out of it
The car is already in Brasil
The hood ornament is not correct. The crystal-like pentastar didn’t come out until the 80’s.
I own older darts and thats not a rare car and will not bring 50k .... trust me . How many times are you going to spray suds on that car .... dayum
You said that right. Maybe if it was a 68 383 four speed it would get that kind of money.
Perhaps they own some stock in the snow foam industry. 🤷♂️🤷♂️ I thought I used a decent amount each time I cleaned my vehicles, but they certainly take the cake here, lol!
It's not a 1970 either; 73 or newer
@@StreetChally73 maybe they were pretending they were icing cake...
Should have left the striping on
That's not a 1970. That is a 1973.
Yup...Beaker
Bumper guards say 72. But then, it's far from original.
@@garyszewc3339 That's a 73 or newer. 72 was the last year for the small bumpers, 73 and up got those ugly ass safety bumpers. That thing is as rare and desirable as a Taxi.
@garyszewc3339 definitely 73 or later,72 was previous body style.
Its a 74 . Tail lights are on body and come around side of car For new regulations federal mandated. So as to be seen from wider angles while braking lights are on. 73 lights were still on the bumper and only visible from directly behind. Also rear bumper now sticks out further for the new 5mph rule that was about to become law.
Never $50,000. $25,000 would really be pushing it. Great detail job.
A hundred would be pushin' it!!🤷
$50k.....LOL
MY Cuda isn't worth that much....
@@dixonmopar2129 68 Notch-Back 500hp stroker...appraised at and insured for $45k....
Your efforts are commendable, but here are some suggestions. Degrease before you wash for better action, remove seats to clean carpets properly and don't alternate between foaming and pressure washing it wastes product.
Abandoned ,with the keys in the ignition?
Yea ,
Ok .
Perfect,I hope you guys get paid very well, keep up the great work
Even if it WAS a "special" model/series dart ,swinger ,scamp etc it aint $50,000 soecial lolololol
Looks like an ‘85 Chrysler fifth avenue crystal hood ornament.
Heck yeah, someones frankensteiner
Great detail,superb job,a 9 rating😊
No way that car brings 50k , 20k at best and he better be a great talker to do that. It’s not a real classic like a nomad, GTO, roadrunner or true muscle car.
Did anyone else notice the bubbling in the left rear quarter?
yeah. that's a lot of filler.
Imagine what's underneath
You're lucky there's a quarter left on a 50 year old Mopig!!!0
About 5 lbs of Bondo 😅
Why was the strips removed from the sides of the car, that's was special to that car, and also that was not a 1970 Dart swinger, more like 1975 or 76.
Groucho Marx mentioned that a Dodge Swinger was a car for swingers. Being that the 1970s was a swinging decade.
It is a 74. Look at rear bumper and wrap around taillights.
Nice work. The dart stripe needs to go back on.
It was aftermarket, like so much on that junk heap.
First of all, this is a 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger. The '73 and older models still had the tail lights in the bumper. The '75 & '76 models had a different grille with larger parking lights. Original paint? Forget it, this is not a factory color and they never came with a blacked out hood. Also, the striping was added when somebody repainted the car. The vinyl top has been replaced too. The small hub caps are correct for late '60s Darts, not a '74. Mid '70s Darts were not considered muscle cars, although a 360 V8 with 240 hp was optional on the '74 Dodge Dart sport. However most Darts produced had either a slant 6 or a 318 V8. The black paint on the firewall and inner fenders is not correct, this should be body color. The hood ornament and emblem on the trunk lid lock is not correct, that's something from the '80s.
The black paint (undercoating?) in the trunk is a red flag (this should be body color as well), no question it has some rust issues. Washing the trunk floor with water and soap is not a smart thing to do, it will accelerate the rust that's hiding there. Also, there is something weird with the trunk floor, there is supposed to be a round 'tub' for the spare tire. Looks like somebody made some sort of plate there. It does not have the optional power steering and power brakes, so it's a pain to drive. No way this will bring 50 grand, especially not when it needs rust repairs. My guess is 10 to 20 is more realistic, even that is pushing it. I don't mean to complain, just some common sense...I like Darts, but I would skip this one. Good luck.
The owner says back to all original, which is probably why they removed the side decals, but that doesn't look like the factory engine. If it isn't it's not all original nor is it worth the asking price 🤷♂️🤔
OMG, they removed the black side stripes!
Good luck at 50 MAYBE 12 if you are lucky
Nice to dream about those overinflated price tags!
A bit of overkill on the foam stuff, guys. No need for all that. I’ve been cleaning cars for 60+ years and that’s ridiculous.
It looks more like a '74 or '75 to me.
Yes 74.. one of the few that got it right.
That car is in too nice of shape to have been abandoned. It was just dirty.
Awesome detailing work.
This is Dodge Dart from Brazil Chrysler division, not the american Dart.
That is a 1974 Dodge Swinger. A 2-door version of the Dodge Dart it's cousins was the Plymouth Scsmp. Groucho Marx would say that "A Dodge Swinger is a car for swingers." The context being that the 1970s was a swinging decade.
Came out beautifully detailed. The car isn't an RT doesn't have a hemi ,but if you look up the vehicles specifications by the vin number ,it'll give you HP, torque, differential specs, and tranny... All the details..( which is the icing on the cake.) then go from there where you want to price it.
It looked completely different the shine of the paint great job professionally done on the whole swinger once again super job guys😊
Mexico or South America..? The trunk floor is a dead giveaway along with the background & the voiceover. Not a 1970, just a built 318 most likely
This one being featured is a 73 & not a 70 model🤔
That's like a 1975 swinger
Would you look at that! Dodge made a taxi !!
Forget $50K. You might get $10K on a good day.
Check your year. That doesn't have the rear bumper and tail lights of a '70. Looks like more of a '75. What happened to the body side stripes?
The '70 Swinger had the taillights in the bumper. This one has them above in the rear panel.
Bc they are a bunch of clowns
You removed the factory tape stripes. That's something you must NEVER do. It diminishes the cars look and providence.
They weren't factory.
Yall work is great! I give that a 10! The car i love, Had 3 when i was young, But the slant 6 engines. Only thing i hate isw the yellow. Not my color at all... But would love to have that car. Memories....
I detailed for a few seasons and it's hard work. But you take pride in it. It looks great. I wouldn't personally have used any shine sprays on the car but whatever the owner wants. I also would have stressed that the decals must be put back (As in new stock) on or not removed. They were part of the original package from what I remember about these cars.
I am dealing with a dirty car just like this, but not as old. It is a dark purple Nissan Cube that has been outside sitting under Douglas Furs for the past two years unprotected. I haven't been able to figure out how to get the roof clean after years of sap and oxidation.
You might try using instant boat hull cleaner, that contains plant based oxalic acid... I used Star Brite to remove 10 years of oxidation, stains and sap from my older chevy pickup... You can either use it straight wiping the finish down using a sponge or applying it with a sprayer as per instructions or dilute it with some water as it is a strong cleaner, rinse thoroughly. Other things to try are mineral spirits, kerosene, and hand sanitizer... WD-40 and Turpentine have also been used but these can damage the clear coat... If left long enough tree sap can damage the clear coat leaving a permanent stain or discoloration behind... The only way to fix this is to sand the clear coat/paint off and refinish it....hope this helps
Good job, fellas. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you!
My favorite car i ever had was a '71 Dart Custom. Was a four door, had power brakes and steering, front disk, ac, and a 318 automatic.
Nice detail job. Fortunately everything underneath the dirt was still pretty good. Love to know what was used on the black hood & what was used to clean the engine?
A buddy of mine back in 1970 had one of these in green.....sweet little hot rodder
would love to see a 1968 olds 442 w30 get that treatment. these cars share a place in my heart.
Loved it. I have a 62 valiant. Cost me $7k just to get it home. Its complete and it great shape. Lot of work ahead of me but it was my first car. Hoot to completely restore it by next summer. Bone white with red interior. 2 door coup. Where can I get the products that were used in this presentationS?
Nice job cool looking car as well love that yellow
10/10 about the price of the car i don't know maybe in countries where old cars are still appreciated
I like the mustard yellow 💛
Why did you remove the racing strips ? I'd like to hear it running?
Very clean car ! Did you clean under the HUB-CAPS - take them off and clean the nuts etc. under-neath ?
What ever the case its good to see a 70s car looking like new and on the road
Thank you!
Looks like a Black and Gold Steelers Special.
I just happen to have the perfect, period correct 23 channel CB radio and trunk lid mount antenna for the car.
😅😂😂
50 mil pa eso… dejar de fumar criko por favor.
You didn’t remove the hubcaps and clean the entire wheel or the inside of the hubcaps, or did I miss that part?
😊u are doing a gran job I ❤ it
U have dun a 10 in my book.
Thanks!
Why did you tear the vinyl stripes off the side of the car? That was pretty irritating!
Ya, I was wondering the same thing.
Cause it wasn't an original stripe but a custom one
My brother has a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger and it's completely different?? His is a 340. Is this outside of the US?
5 Grand at the most would need to see how much rot is underneath before making an offer., your work is outstanding by the way.
Superbe j'adore
I'm a Poncho guy, and even so, I know enough to call this a Frankenstein. If you start off with the wrong year you've got nowhere to go but down.
your attention to the details and work quality are definitely the best . greetings to you and your followers from NYC ...
It will never be worth $50,000 especially with all that rust on the bottom of the quarters but you guys did an awesome job.
Looks like a 74 with a 318. It’s a $5000 car on a lucky day.
A solid 10
Very good.#10
This video should be called a recently flipper quality beak nose dart. (malaise year) The last Dart of major significance was a 70. 71 and 72 were decent looking but no performance models. After that it was all downhill. When they went to this tail end verses the earlier in bumper lights, they blew it on the styling. It probably hasn't been abandoned all from looks of it. Somebody would have stolen hubcaps from it for the right vintage of car. For 50k you could buy a whole flock of Beaknose darts, feathers and all.
@Percepcar USA 🇺🇸 Good car washing video, may I know if it's ok for you to review our foam cannon S V3.0?Thanks in advance!☺
Great work, but this wasn't the original body paint, the owner had already said that there was a transformation from a Brazilian Dodge Dart to an American swinger tribute car. This included repainting.
Stunning 25000 max
10 super nice car you guys doing a really nice cleaning job
Thanks man!
Owner will be lucky to get $15k for it. You go to such lengths to detail every inch of the car but didn’t take the hub caps off to clean the entire wheel. JMHO
When that body style came out. The muscle car craze was over
Wrong ! This body style started 1967. In 1968 you could get a 426 hemi in it making 425 hp. One of the craziest combos of the era. Muscle car in the truest sense.
Interesting
It's also Canadian by the Chrysler trunklid pentastar cover
Nice car. Looks great. I don't think it's worth 50,000. I'd like to see a mercury comet on the channel.
Maybe a 7. A lot of OVERKILL when washing the outside.
That car is mint condition he could get more then 50 I wouldn’t of taken off the stripes it’s part of original paint I would of left it alone you guys did a wonderful job
Thanks for the content
Certainly not factory paint. (not a 70 either) But I agree, The stripes made it look sharp.
Man, what happens to the black stripes that were going down the side of it.They never took them off.Now you'll never get $50,000 out of that thing
Great Detail Job👉🏾I dont need any V8 Car high as Gas is😥
One sure way to date it is pull the hub caps 70's had 4" bolt pattern 73 had 41/2!
Why would you not take off the hub Caps to clean behind them and take the seat out to clean underneath
This car is a “6”. Column shift auto trans and non-OEM upgrades diminish the value.
Its got a ton of bondo in the rear quarters. Probably in other areas too. Could really start picking it apart. Maybe $18,000.00? Its rough.
you guys did a very very nice job bringing this car back. but seriously $20000 or $25000 is what he's gonna get. Car still needs a lot of work to be in the $40000 range. I think I saw rust bubbling on left quarter panel. redo the stripping to original specs and a little more. missing a radio ... not a bucket seat car...but still a nice car. definitely not a ' 70
Except that is NOT a 70. What is wrong with you?? That’s a 74! Good grief.
É vagnão,vim assistir aqui no canal gringo 1⁰, não aguentei de ansiedade de ver o dójão pronto😂😂
Wow 50k for a car with no headlight or WW switches and no radio keep dreaming
Weight saving car.
Did anyone else see the 5 lbs of Bondo on the driver side rear quarter panel 50k 😅😂
Right now I can buy a 71 Dart Swinger with a 225 six from California for $16,000.
Great, it's worth less than half that.
Unless it was left on a public street or on a hwy, it's NOT abandoned. Rare doesn't mean cool.
When I went to school for auto body, I was taught to do the inside first, remove the front seats and door jams then wash the outside including taking the tires off for cleaning
Pulling the stripes off?!?! Weird.
$50000 usd, for a shiny dart , with no proof of it running, good luck with that, but saying that you guys done a good job of making it look presentable 👍🇦🇺
How original is it. Has it had any rust repair? With that much bubbling on that rear quarter panel how much more rust is hiding? And were those vinyl stripes original.
He may get 50,000 cents!!!
Maybe 15k,,but 50k? Ohh my 190 bhp? Its not a acreaming 340
ya did good but 50k for that rust lol
I'm guessing a low hp 318. Big bumpers means low hp. $50K LOL! l'm guessing $5-6k maybe $7k in a good room
The car is already in excellent condition you just detailed it that car was not in the elements it was stored or it's no way it would look like it is but hey nice car I don't know about 50,000 I don't know many people checking for those cars
I'd give it a ten for how good it turned out!
