Creating NEW GAMEMODES in Geometry Dash!

- Geometry Dash has 7 gamemodes as of Update 2.1, with an 8th on the way. But you can combine some gamemodes with other level elements to make unique gameplay segments. Today, I'll try to create new 'gamemodes' by combining these components!

here's something I found when trying out the Dive Bomber:
I found it to be even more controllable in mini because it descends 6 grid spaces down instead of 7 in normal mode (Measured by clicking while on the ceiling), giving you much more space to dive.
Might catch on in 2.2 when we can open up the gamemodes and get more space.
also Skateboard looks really fun with a proper layout, though I'd rather call it "Dart"

If u like an idea instead of putting the green orb that creates these sharp turns you can put touch triggers that swap between a bunch of blue and yellow invisible portals

I tried doing swingcopters with different gameplay, like cubecopter/spidercopter, and its hard to control. I also put a jetpack gamemode with one of the layouts, which is a robot with 45 degree dash orb following it, and it can fly.
Ship-coter is hard to control, but fun once you get used to it
Cubecopter is basically swingcopter hard mode, it's pretty neat.

i remember makin these a while ago cause i was bored and giving up but now seeing you painfully verify a level using these makes me want to see what other ways i can cause pain by adding orbs to random ass gamemodes

Dual ball:
One goes into a corridor on the top with blue orbs, every time you tap it switches gravity but not like the green orb.

that sounds really fun, but he should also make a ship gamemode, where when you click you go up, but when you release you go down

it touches the ground and rebounds back up
and tapping clicking whatever sends it straight back down to rebound again

I literally came up with the idea for that wave + pink dash gamemode about 5 years ago when 2.1 originally came out on a sheet of notebook paper, not even joking, I called it the "Blaster" gamemode. I recently made a level using the idea, but I haven't finished it since lol

that first one is a concept I've liked for a while. I think ToE 4 has something similar using the icon we now know is the swingcopter.

Geometry Dash is a game that just doesn't need anymore gamemodes. And the ones used can make very good gameplay on its face, while just adding more gamemodes just make the game more cluttered, messy, and comfusing to choose.

you should try to make a mini swingcopter with a steeper arch like the wave just swingcopter i think you could use green orbs with mini ball at slower speeds.
So, the ship gamemode that you made is actually in BitBreak (demon), and it is pretty fun tbh

im thinking of a swingcopter but it will teleport you up/down depending on what way you went last time so tp up, tp down, etc. could make for some fun gameplay but i dont know if its that easy to implement/gameplay

I made a dive bomber like gameplay but with a cube and red pads on the bottom. You are contantly bouncing and clicking makes you reset your bounce kind of
