1:30 I believe an easy way of fixing this is having the original circle object and then having the icon on a separate group follow it with the follow trigger. You can also use the rotate trigger to copy the player's rotation, which actually works correctly compared to the advanced follow rotation for some reason.

But that doesn't work very well because there isn't a delay with the rotate trigger follow. It is always instant
giving a group parent to a single obj also works

I think this is my favourite gimmick level you've made. I love the clone idea and the gameplay complements it extremely well. The ship part and the teleport orb part both look terrifying (in a good way).
I think it would be cool if there were safe zones where you could take a breather, like a barrier that destroys the clone on contact. I just want to see the clone guy EXPLODE again tbh

1:30 A better way I discovered would be to set one of the objects to group parent using the p button in group edit. The group should turn pink and you won't need to add a follow trigger. Also, to make it rotate with the player but at a delay would be to have an object that rotates with the player and is locked onto the player but with an offset (so like, a block to the right) then have another object follow it but at a delay and make the icon rotate to face that object

Yooo i was playing some recent levels for fun and found this level not even knowing it was yours
I did this a week after 2.2 releases. Happy someone actually made a level like it though because I gave up because of the annoying turning.
I was making a level that i needed something to follow the player when picked up, so this video was actually kind of useful
1:30 just take a circle object, make it group parent (put group 1 then press the P), then overlay the rest of the cube on top (making it group 1).
this reminds me of those cosmic levels in super mario 3D land with shadow mario following you

btw you can fix the icon by making the dot the parent. That way it instead properly looks like the icon you wanted :)
1:31 The way to do it is very simple, when selecting the icon you need to press the button that says “P” on it in the edit group menu
You can make a single object move by advanced follow, then use a regular follow to make an icon follow this object
It would be cool if you made different gamemodes for the the evil cube too
0:49 you can make a multiplayer lvl with it just put the player object and done! You heve a multiplayer (I got this idea from the acc catacuta) and you need to do the advance follow trigger

1:30 Place an invisible and no touch block (or really any single object) on the icon and give it the same group. Then, make the block the Group Parent.

to do multiple objects at same time group something and the top it will be group parent and link all parts and there you go
1:31 basically, the advanced follow player trigger is only worked for 1 object.
example
group 1 is 1 object
group 2 is 1 object
and so on
so basically you have to assign different group ids for every objects (idk why robtop i hate you)
I thought the evil cube was a reference to the boss battle in the 10 year anniversary animation.
You give "him" a new group id and use a normal follow trigger like the one you had in 2.1 lol

I'm confused on how to rotate the follower with the player - essentially creating my own cube follower. I see you checked Roate Dir but that option doesn't rotate fully and starts off sideways. What should I do know?
