- We Take A Look At The Rexing V5 4K Modular Dash Cam | Our Review. Todays video we look at the popular dashcam from Rexing. The Rexing V5 4K Modular Dash Cam. This dashcam is definitely a part of Rexing's premium line of dashcams. But a few things that I really like about the Rexing V5 4K Modular Dash Cam. First is the quality of the footage that it puts out. The 4K out of this little sensor is actually very good. And we tested the Rexing V5 4K Modular Dash Cam's video quality in both bright sunlight and dusk until dark. So good. Plus we like the build quality of the Rexing V5 4K Modular Dash Cam. And of course the modularity of the Rexing V5 4K Modular Dash Cam. Being able to add components in the future is a nice feature for sure. Lastly, not that its a big feature, but the desktop app. Seems to work really well and is great to be able to see on a map exactly where things took place. Very cool

The Rexing V5 is the best dashcam I ever had (had 4 other models from different vendors before this one), the only thing they need to address (in my opinion) is the cabin cam, night light vision is ALWAYS ON, so during the day, the colors are messed up, black, white and purple, even when I turn the night ligh vision off, it doesn't make any difference.
So does mine. So weird. Any resolution?

That's a really nice looking dashcam. I really like the modularity. Just a bit more on the pricey side for what I would like to spend.
most definitely a little pricier than some. But I guess you get what you pay for. If there are features that you actually want.

Q : what does this DC offer in terms of parking protection & is it worth while considering an alternative power source (something like the 'BlackView Power Magic Pro or alternative battery pack ) to ensure the car still has enough power to start the vehicle after its been parked up for a couple of weeks? Any thoughts would be most welcome.
Nice job on your review. Can you tell me if the V5 will operate for a few minutes unplugged? I have one and can't get it to work unplugged. There is a single shot camera mode so I am wondering how that can be utilized if the camera has to be plugged in.
Being that it's a modular dash cam, I would have liked to see an actual review with the mods. I would have also liked to seen how the mobile app works as well.

It has voice activation commands and responses. The cam keeps picking up random conversations in the cab and Interprets it as commands. My issue is that it keeps turning off the recording mode. In this state, if you were to be involved in an accident, it would not be recording critical information. I haven't yet been able to turn off the voice activation. Any input will be much appreciated.
does the app work fine on the phone?. iPhone?
The wifi connectivity to the phone is so bad. I’m guessing it needs an update bad but with that it should work way smoother. I bought the v5 a month ago and got it installed with the hardwiring kit and after the first night it just gave me a white screen. So now ordering a new one again Best Buy has a bundle sale about $25 off but instead of the rear camera it comes with the waterproof one so I’m not sure which to get 🤦🏻♂️
Everything that is black in color turns purple when I play back the recording, how do I fix that?
