I agree, and just in a short time while being in a Lock down early this year, I was astonished how the smog cleared because vehicles were not being driven. In just 3 weeks, the air was so clean it was a sign to us we all can do better if we care about the environment!

I am disappointed that this profoundly true and beautiful message has been viewed only 17,610 times. I am the same age and have experienced some of the same disallusionment in mankind, where we, both unwittingly and arrogantly, have taken this planet - not listening to the whistleblowers who have been sounding the alarm for decades. Just like your music is timeless, and cycles over and over, I hope this message gets cycled over and over again. We must vote for leaders who agree that action is required now!

A big Kenny Logggins fan over the years, I admire your conviction to speak out! I'm a couple years older and also from the Pacific Northwest. I became environmentally interested watching the late Jacque Cousteau films. One of my children carries the name Cousteau as a middle name. Yes, humanity has only one chance, one opportunity to get the environmental equation right. Thank you for your inspiring speech.

Have nothing but the UTMOST respect for this brother! Yesterday, I finally welcomed Kenny into my CD collection for the first time via the 'Leap Of Faith' album he mentioned in that upload. As an 80s baby, I only knew him as that "soundtrack singer" to some of those big-budget movies from that period (lol) but over time quickly realized he was much MUCH more than that. His ongoing spiritual evolution the last couple decades has been a revelation and right now should be used as a guideline to improve our very own souls in the meantime. After all, that's the REAL reason why we continue to come back to this world isn't it???

I agree with you. I admire Attenborough's work, Lovins, E.O. Wilson, Margulies, Benyus, Henderson (finance restructured) and so many others. Back in the early 80s, I was pulling together money for graduate school in biology so I worked for what was then known as the Clean Water Action Project. Sadly, nothing has changed only gotten worse. I worked on drugs and devices throughout my career that were good for people and stayed in nature as much in possible but after a 24/7 career landed with scientists who informed me extensively in 2001 about climate change. Since then I have put tremendous energy toward change. So far we have failed. My hope is that a Biden administration will act swiftly. I am afraid that songs won't do it, most never took a biology course, many afraid of job loss and afraid to change, and so on. I get all these things combined with Covid19. Viruses are being unearthed literally because of climate change. Cancer, for example has been found in dinosaur fossils and viruses unearthed in the ice too. I worry. I try. I try with others but the tide is coming in. I sincerely hope it rolls out. Today, I am like my grandmother: no plastic, no wrappings, no excess paper, no disposables. Vegetarian. It is a spiritual journal, a love of all things including our planet. I get down and kiss it with gratitude. We all are connected. To think otherwise from a biological perspective is sadly ignorant. I take it back, songs do help. They reach into the soul. I write them, not like you. I write poetry and I love myself more when I find the spirit in my soul.

I watched last night Sir David Attenborough's A Life On Our Planet. Poignant I thought was that Sir David started and ended the documentary with Chernobyl! Chernobyl, the poster child for environmental degradation. The issue here in the US is that the education system works overtime to dumb-down the populace. There is no getting out of the forthcoming evironmental catastrophe without an informed, educated population.
