Nice find. I found my one owner, original '62' F 250 4x4 sitting in a hog lot in NE Nebraska in 1981. He had ordered it w factory one ton axles, thirteen leaf springs in the rear and of course no radio. Couple years later I had to swap out the 292 w a 292 from a Thunderbird. It has been parked since 1996 and I just pulled it out of a dry quenset to revive it. Wish me luck!
So, if it's on a '68 frame... the word "original" in your listing is faux?
I'm a Ford enthusiast but I've never seen or ever heard of a 1966 crew cab 4x4 , it's definitely one of a kind for sure
Original Barn find my left foot. There's nothing Barn Find about that. At least not as presented in this video.
What's up with the rubber gloves? Are you performing a rectal later?
Its white cloth gloves, keeps acids and oils from his skin off the truck.
swmp9x19 latex not clot.... wtf dude are you stupid
LMAO
@@swmp9x19 Christ it ain't that perfect.
And they changed their name, used to be autobahn-direct
Mate that is an awesome find. Bloody beautiful truck.
wow what a beauty! I'd be very proud to drive that around!
BRUH it is clearly not what it should look like
struck gold with this...beautiful rig
What an amazing find! I love old Fords!
Who would put thumbs down on this beautiful truck
this is awesome love seeing these cars and trucks that are in such great condition after all these years
The engine LOOKS legit. It's an FE block. The truck looks great however it can not be passed of as original with the change of frame! The front axle is a heavy duty Dana 44 that came in most F-250 350 including the Hiboy Ford p/ups. The rear is a Dana 60. The transfer case appears to be a divorced NP 205 which is an outstanding substitution to the Spicer models that came stock. All metal gears and a nice low range ratio! However! The disappointment is in choosing that year frame. The 44 was vulnerable to axle shaft breakage due to the hour glass shape near the axle spline ends. They did not come with disc breaks till 1976-77 which is a huge disappointment. I would have chosen a 77 or newer!
Love the constructive comments. Agree with all of them. We took this baby in just as you see it. Washed her down and put her on the auction block. We wanted to clarify they the "original" was directed to the condition of the natural patina body which has never had any mods, bodywork, etc. hard to find these that haven't had a ton of rust or bodywork.
+Autobahn Direct Super nice truck! Curious what the auction results were.
Lol 9/10 f250s had a dana 60 in the front.
Guess I'm a little late, but if this truck ever goes up for sale again, Let me know. I would love to buy it! I think its funny how many comments attack the truck for not being original but if you watch and listen to the video they tell you everything as honestly as possible. People are strange but this truck is really cool. Wish I didn't miss it..
Was the original a 300 six? I don't see the V on the hood to indicate a V-8.
Awesome old Ford
holy fuck this baby is mint! I got a 65 and thought it was good but damn this blows it away
Great video! I miss my old '66 flatbed... it was same color as yours. I drove it on movie & TV productions all over America. It was in the background on many episodes of the CBS TV series Northern Exposure. Yes, I let it get away, but I'll buy it back someday, no matter how much it costs me. The love for an old truck never fades.
Another beauty!
These old trucks are soooo much better looking then the contemporary ones. Nice find man but.......gloves?
That truck is amazing
i want this truck or a one like it so badly
All these people hating but their project trucks are probably a 2wd single cab long bed pos 85 custom deluxe
Nobody is hating, they know what they're talking about. This is a custom build being passed as an original truck.
Beautiful truck in amazing condition! Some people who leave comments obviously either don't watch and listen to the entire video, or they have no business driving an automobile. You can tell the automobile enthusiast from the clueless pretty easy.
Cool old truck. radio tunin into Tokyo
Beautiful truck love seeing survivors like this
Nice Truck, country side look's like where i grew up at, around Sardine Canyon in Northern Utah. KUDOS!!!
wow that is really cool, I have a 64 single cab short bed same color too, you don't find then in that good of shape anymore
what's the paint code I like this color a lot
I want to see the awesome barn this was in
Beautiful!
awesome truck. so many broken wheel studs..
Very nice! I suspect it will need a cold air intake for hot weather slow driving use. Again very nice!
I want to know the definition of an "unoriginal" barn find.
Awesome truck!
Sweet truck!
i'm a mopar guy but that truck is sweet!!!
I have a 69 f250 4x4 crew cab w/tulsa series 5 pto the older body styles were nice mine has factory high boy original papers one day it will be as nice as yours
why are you wearing gloves dude? like this shit is an antique photo....its a 60's truck not a 1890's relic...holy shit.
he has a different definition of zero rust too.
Hop boy I’m a Chevy man but I just came into a 1960 Ford 3/4 ton 4x4 crew cab, it drives great with a fresh 390, it needs much love, a new box, a straight hood and some exterior metal patches( the floor is like new) I’m thinking red and ivory two tone to match my 54 Chevy 3/4 ton. This video just about has my knees knocking LOL!
Man I would love to find a truck like this
She's a beauty! Watch how he is moving the steering wheel 4 to 5 inches, left to right, just to maintain a straight line going down the road. LOL!!! My Dad had a few old fords, as did I. From 69 to 95, and they all had that same slop in the steering. You would think that Ford would have fixed this problem. I haven't driven any of their brand new trucks, so I can only hope that this is no longer an issue.
hey man what an awesome find out there
that is one nice truck any one that loves trucks knows this one is badass.
Beautiful rare truck man, Great find.
MY ONLY COMPLAINT is the dang music.... We want to hear the truck, can the song til the still pics, then it'd be great.
beautiful one.
How much I love it please don't change anything
Cool ford, I have only seen i other crew cab ford in that body style. Ford also made a crew cab for the 57 to 60 body style. Im sure your pleased with how the truck turned out, and it has to turn heads wherever it goes.
Holy crap... Beauty truck in blown away
epic cool find sir, Jealous for sure.
very nice video!
awesome
love it
Sweet!!!!!!!
That's a VERY solid truck for being 49 years old. Does it have the 352 FE Block engine?
@ 6:43 "If anybody ever wanted to have an original, unique crew cab on the road with the comforts of modern technology, this would be the bad boy."
What part of this truck has the comforts of modern technology? lol Cool truck though...
supersportimpalass the modern technology is the part that the restorer would choose to add. Have a look at what icon do, for example.
I have one of these too except its standard cab and long bed and it has very modern seat massagers but only if you drive faster than 60 MPH.
She's beautiful !
😍😍😍😍😍🙆 I'm in love!
If it's a 390, then it's not original, is it? I thought the F100 always got the 352 FE.
What brand and size are those tires they fit that truck so well
Nice truck,
Cool functional truck with nice patina. Did that tailgate carry over to next model?
Low beams dont work properly, watch the speedo light when the dimmer switch is pressed. Steering wheel is not factory which takes away from the interior bigtime. Why is it jacked up like that? Would look 10x better with factory hubcaps and wheels.
Wow!
Hard to believe that the four door trucks became so popular. sense the the Toyota stout was the first on the crew cab seen.
me an my brother when we was little used to ride the forest with dad and uncle Bucky in one just like that hunting
nice truck..
Those are 3/4 or 1 ton axles. Dana 44 front and Dana 60 rear probably.
That radio is legit.
very nice truck
Mike Lussier
BAD ASS!
Love this truck. and other videos on your channel. How do I get in touch with you ? thanks
Call us anytime. 801-839-4224
Do you still have the truck?
801 area code? Shit! I'm just north of you. too bad I didn't see this video sooner. What did you get for this rig?
Love that truck! Are you in Hawaii? So green!
The patina of the body is original, the frame and running gear are not. The frame itself belongs to the 67-77.5 f250 4x4 generation. So its been swapped.
NathansBackwoods Yes
Do you still have this truck, and if so, how much do you want for it?
Body looks bowed up towards the sky.
And it’s an F -350 not a 3/4 ton, I came upon the truck in passing, found out that I could have it cheaply and I may have struck gold!
Anything ever come of this?
How is this a zero rust truck? You showed the bed, it has rust. ... No rot maybe
I got a 71 crew cab same color too I also got a 66 single cab Long bed engine block still in it just got new push roads it was running fine and Evan 3 of the roads are broke 😂
Lucky dog. I have looked for 66 crew 4X4 for decades.......
+Mike Rippey we have another one coming up. Call us, 801-839-4224
where did you find this?
What size tires are those?
Great looking truck! What rims are those please?
I love this oldy, Don't you have some on diesel?
Hey!! The Black Keys!!
Damn if your going to call a truck a barn find it should have the orginal motor . they didnt make the 390 in 66 it was a 352 but still nice find
nice truck i like the 4 door. just don't like the lift.
what is it worth? Did it sell right away? what are the odds of finding another if you have sold it?
Very nice old truck. Government vehicles get very little use. I think it would look better without the lift.
dam its nice
It would be better listed as found 66 ford body on 68 frame it is not original as built. It is a nice truck.
how much, and where
If I had the money I would buy this truck just to put it in another barn until it's 100th birthday. ( probably couldn't wait that long and bring it out a lot sooner)
+Zane Kubicek Then you'll have to put about 8 barrels of petrol next to it, because, when you take it out, it will be impossible to buy gas for it.
+RavenWestD Never thought of that... That is probably so true it's not even funny
+Zane Kubicek yep.
imagine how it would look if it was used in saskatchewan :(
Very amazing truck, but how is it an original barn find, if it has been swapped onto a different chassis?
How much would it be for shipping to Washington state?
it's like this truck was stuck in time waiting for its rightful owner. too bad it wasn't me. .. But congratulations on your find. I'm looking for a good work truck myself, somethin I can rough up and not cry if it gets a scratch. .
work truck? good thing it wasn't you.
+Dylan McCallister I would use it for what it was intended for.
haha agreed
what Brand and Height Lift was on this truck?
What Brand and Height Tires as well?
Thank You
and the best part is it drives like a 60s 4 X 4 truck!!!
nice truck where you from... now at the end of the video i see the phone number and your in Utah.... looked like Utah mountains.... nice... I'm from here also
I need one of these in a automatic one day!
+Kwezzy automatic sucks
Do you just not know how to drive a stick?
David James I do but the fun in owning a stick shift to me is having a fast vehicle. I just can't see me buying a stick truck unless it was a srt-10
