The theme tune was used for the intro for 'Look East' in the early 1980's. Makes sense, as viewers in that region not likely to have heard it before as it was from a different region. ITV passed around some of their regional intro's in the 1960's from region to region

This goes right back to my childhood - title sequence and tune which I remember very well. As I am good at remembering tunes this one is in Eb major.
