Hi JC. This past year I purchased a 1/4 inch Milwaukee M18 brushless drill and impact set, not the FUEL. I’m not a mechanic, just wanted something that had good power for a homeowner and would last. I’ve seen a lot of videos, yours included that give great marks to the Milwaukee power tools, hoping for many years of great use from my purchase.

My first Milwaukee tool was the M12 1/2” drill. I drilled a ton of 3/4” holes in my truck and trailer when I added a bunch of 3/4” led lights. I also drilled a bunch of holes on the truck frame to mount pto tank, tool boxes etc. that little m12 drill sold me on the Milwaukee platform and my collection is still growing. We even have the m18 job site vacuum that we use in the house and it’s the best vacuum we have ever had in the house. Looking forward to the frame stretch project JC!

We bought the 1/2” high torque impact on your good rating about 2 years ago. After about 1 1/2 years we had a failure in the anvil. Went on the Milwaukee web site signed up with an account, sent it in for repairs. We received the repaired tool quickly. And at no charge even the shipping was free. They stand behind their tools. Thanks for your review it helped us make a good decision in our purchase.

I've had a Fuel Brushless Milwaukee m18 grinder for several months now. When I'm parting out rotted out Ford trucks and I encounter hardware that refuses to cooperate I use the grinder. Mine doesn't have adjustable speed and it has the trigger you have to squeeze. I like it. I use a high output 6.0 battery with it

Having all your tools on the same platform is so beneficial. Any tool you own that needs a specific battery is inconvenient and the batteries will have issues with sitting. Like you mentioned, you can like any brand you want but no one can deny Milwaukee has the most options available.

You were talking about getting the new m18 3/8 impact I would suggest the m12 stubby I had trouble getting the larger battery base into tight spots where the 6.0 m12 fit just fine.

I have this exact one in the 6" model. That trigger is a little hard to lock on while wearing welding gloves. It uses batteries up very fast. I'm using the 8.0 and 12.0.

6" is a big disc. im sure it does go through batteries. i have used it quite a bit so far and am very happy with the power and how long i get out of the batteries. not having a cord getting twisted up and all around my feet is nice too.

J.C, all but 2 of my Milwaukee batteries were bought used and after 4 or 5 years of moderate use I’ve yet to have one go bad.
All mine are m12. The m12 stubby impacts are great, lot of power for their size. Mine is my most used impact.
For the 18/20 volt I went dewalt mostly because a now deceased friend cut me a hell of a deal on some at a pawn shop he ran. I’ve only had 2 of those go bad and they get used harder than the milwaukees.
One thing I’ve done for years is to number my batteries so if one cuts out or something while using I can keep track of it without worrying about it getting mixed back in with the herd.

JC, I have a plugin Milwaukie grinder that's held up fine but my 20v battery drill drivers and impact tools are DeWalt as are several items like a plugin metal chop saw, 3/8 drill driver and a grinder. What you demand of your tools is quite a bit more heavy duty than my shop that does relatively light duty custom metal and woodwork depending on the project. I also have other brands of tools. The big thing is to know what works best for you. Great video!

They've bought out a angle grinder that it's impossible to take the guard off. because of Health and safety. I think that will be sold in Europe first. Also, you have to have two hands on it Your hand on the side handle and the main. before it will start. These will be the only angle grinders That will be legal To use on building sites. in the future.

Have you ever had the old non fuel grinder stop under a heavy grind? If I’m really using mine even moderately hard, it will stop and the wheel/motor will pulsate a few times and you have to cycle the switch to start back. Mine has done that since new. A m18 fuel grinder will probably be my next purchase

Does that grinder come with guards for 6" wheels. I completely disagree with your stance on guards but to each their own. 11 amp equivalent is pretty strong. Im used to the electric, slide switch 13 amp ,6" metabo grinders. Currently dont have m-18 stuff, ( m-12 and 20v DeWalt) but it seems to be decent stuff.
