    CORRECTION: ART lenses are indeed not focus by wire at all. They are using an HSM which is a MECHANICAL system. This would make sense why I don’t lose my mind when manually focusing these lenses 😂

      glad to know it's not focus-by-wire. I'm curious, is the Nikon mount the better option?

    Not another SIGMA that I really want! This appeals to me soo much being a full frame lens, even the Nikon mount would do nicely for me ;) I really need try it soon. Love the bubbles! Well done dude!

    wow this looks like a great lens! that f2 would be killer and internal components, man dig it. i’d almost take this one over the 18-35. expect i really like having 18mm

      Yeah I will say the extra wide focal length is something I missed but other than that it is a great option. Thanks man!

    Loved the shots of the skull/bubbles!!
    While you were searching for words for that lens...I was thinking - “girth”...but that might fall into that inappropriate category! 😂

      Mitten to Mouse thanks man!
      I know! That was the struggle. I don’t know what it was about this lens that made it really hard to describe it without being inappropriate hahahaha

    Beautiful lens! Sigma and their military style zoom lenses lol! Whew! While the aesthetic build is beautiful, complaints I’ve seen about the weight matters. I only wish they would consider that lol. Loved Joshua’s short film and yours! Thank you both for sharing! Two prolific perspectives.

      Thanks so much! I’m glad you liked the film.
      As far as sigma, they definitely have some of the more intense lens designs. I’m of two minds about them. While they are GIANT they are also doing something that some lens companies aren’t as far as sharpness, clearing imperfections and aperture. So I’m on the fence of if the size is worth the quality.

    • @Dionne_Sheree
      @Dionne_Sheree Před 4 lety

      Anson & Co. lol! Everyone I’ve seen deals with the size as it compensates with great quality! Agreed!

      Anson & Co. GM. I forgot to ask. What tripod are you using to support the heavy lenses? I know you have one listed in the bio of the video linked. Is that it?

      I don’t think it is as versatile for weddings. I would personally get the canon or sigma 24-105 just for reach. Maybe even the 24-70 f2.8 for more reach and low light

      Some of the shots came out way more under exposed than I wanted. But I liked the shot so I kept it. Apologies for making you think your phone had issues lol thanks for watching!

    Thanks, please show us more Sigma stuff for m43, apparently Sigma 50mm for FF is one of the sharpest (?). and as far as slightly higher f stop That's not an issue normally cause most of the M43 lenses are 2.85 and they work great. I did find this clip that shows production companies using Gh5s which should be my next one in case I do buy slower lenses. czcams.com/video/W8mRMlRTo6M/video.html&feature=emb_logo

    Is this as good as the SIGMA 18-35mm f1.8?

    • @shzammpatapon9865
      @shzammpatapon9865 Před 4 lety +1

      if you have any full frame camera along with any crop sensor, it's the best. slap some speedbooster on crop sensor and any camera will perform well in low light. if you're on any crop sensor. pick the 18-35. you get extra focal length and still f/1.8.

    • @Ansonandco
      @Ansonandco  Před 4 lety +1

      100% agree! I have all crop cameras and so 18-35 for me, but this is a great option for people with both.

      Viltrox speedbooster for Nikon to MFT.

      Anson & Co. But this is also a good leens option, since the 16-35 is expensive and using less than 24mm is not that comon
