Dazza, I heard all you said but I missed your reaction to this song. What did you think of it? What do you think about its potential and what it says about Angelina? I think there is much that you missed on this one which is unusual. Most think this is one of the best performances shes ever done and is radio ready. It encompasses all of her strengths including her soulful and jazzy temperament, tone, range, style, and belting even. This is the whole package in my opinion and one of this promoted should launch her career to the next level.

I thought the instrumentation was just beautiful...love the addition of the strings. This was a jazzy song and production that was meant for Angelina. Her voice, as usual, just amazing, finally letting 'er rip with that belt towards the end, just beautiful! Bodes well for the year, for her fans, for anyone who loves good music. Oddly, I came away from this with the sense that this was not your cup of tea...but then you never did say what you thought.

I think this is Angelina's naturally jazzy bluesy voice that we loved to hear when she was very young. She sings this like it's part of her DNA. And it is. She has that. Adele & Amy Winehouse overtones in her delivery and it's so so good. I can't wait till the studio version of this comes out. It's going to be an absolutely fantastic and with her collaboration with Toby Gad who is a world renowned singer-songwriter composer producer. Angelina is definitely taking the correct steps in promoting her wonderful, wonderful vocal abilities. So happy for her and she deserves this. Listen to these lyrics closely. Exactly who is sitting at that table for two? Jordan’s whole life has been documented. She sings “I thought I told you I would mess up, girl” She sings these lyrics three times in the song, much clearer the 2nd and third times. The 2nd time in close-up, you can pretty much read her lips. Absolutely no one has interpreted these lyrics correctly in their reactions, clever girl Ms Astar. Can you?

The magic of great songwriting is when there are numerous interpretations. Whatever works for the listener is a proper interpretation.
I hear “mess up your heart” especially since it wound rhyme with the next line “I warned you right from the start”. To me it sounds like she drops the H in heart like she she’s with “hand” in Million Miles” “but now he’s not here the hold my ‘and”

Respectfully, I and others believe it is "....would mess up your heart". I hear a "y-" sound at least once or twice, for "your". Other clues: "Heart" rhymes with "start" in the next line. And of course hearts are closely associated with Valentine's Day. As for reading lips - one's mouth shape is very similar for 'girl' and 'your'. And I don't hear a hard "g-" sound. Guess we'll find out if and when something official gets released with the lyrics 🙂.
