  • We took the Honda Pilot to Monache Meadows for a weekend overland trip. The only modifications are 2” spacer lifts and all terrain tires. Can the Pilot keep up with the Jeeps, Toyota and a Nissan?

I love overlanding my Pilot! They have their limits, but mine always impresses me.

What would be some of there limits??

@@SLTSAdventures it depends what you are comparing the Pilots to, but the lack of low range and stock clearance are a few. They are great soft roaders and not so good at rock crawling. Check out my other videos to see me push the limits.

Love it. Taking my '14 Pilot (same lift and tire size as this) for its first overland test next week in the UP of Michigan. Looking forward to seeing how it does.

Great video, I have a 2011 pilot touring and it's an amazing 4x4 vehicle,I use it on the Canadian winter and honestly I didn't have to lock the 4x4 since the standard 4x4 is enough! I recently started to mod mine! Cheers

Not true, I have been on that trail. The grades are a lot steeper than camera shows. There are rocks that are a danger to oil pans. No the Pilot is not a jeep. But today’s Jeeps kinda suck. Anybody love the older straight six jeeps? Anybody have truly good results with the modern drivetrains?
My wife has an older Pilot Gen 1 and we have thought about the Shafer Trail in Canyonlands.
Oh the vehicle for Menache Meadows for me was a 1983 Toyota 4 Wheel drive SR5 with a 22R engine.
