Radosław Sikorski continues the case for the proposition, as the third speaker of six in the debate.

Absoloutely great speach , relaxed, funny , not overly complex or flowery like the speach proceeding it . He made his point efficiently and interestingly and I am a fan.
Take a look at others of him - he always speaks like that.
Unfortunately, he lied about the recorded conversation with a finance minister. The 'blowjob' part was a summary of his own policy as a Foreign Minister.

@@jarosawboguta4670 the transcript in Wprost was manipulated and fragments were missing. There is a recording on the internet with the whole thing - just listen to it. And even if you don't want to - why would he criticize himself? And who thinks that his party (PO) was "messing up our relations with Germany"? Everybody was accusing them of being too close to Germany and he would be saying that they are pushing Germany away?
It makes no sense to interpret this the way Wprost did, even after their manipulations.
Comeback to this video in April 2022 was a good idea.
Regarding his accent, when you Brits open your mouth, lots of bubbles come out, you sound very funny too. His accented English is easy to understand. The funny thing is that every time we have a conference call with you guys across the pond, we always wonder what the heck they were trying to say.

W tym przemówieniu wystąpił TYLKO z trzema spośród 14-tu odznaczeń jakie mu nadano na świecie. Jeśli dobrze odszyfrowałem to (za Wiki, od lewej) "Order Narodowy Legii Honorowej - najwyższe odznaczenie nadawane przez państwo francuskie.", "Order Narodowy Zasługi - czteroklasowe, wysokie odznaczenie maltańskie", "Gwiazda Tysiąclecia Litwy". Niestety w PL nie ma wielu ludzi tak bardzo zasłużonych dla świata swoją działalnością, a już na pewno nie ma ani jednego w grupie obecnie rządzącej (20230617).

Nie szanuje Sikorskiego jako Polaka, bo nierzadko zachowuje się jak cham, ale tutaj miał racje i wszystko co powiedział się sprawdziło. Jest pewnością, że gdyby wrócił na stanowisko szefa MSZ, byłoby to in plus dla Polski.

@Dearly Diane nah, he isn't. There's a recording of the whole thing on the internet (in Polish), you can verify it yourself. Polish newspaper wprost (which was supporting then-opposition PIS) quoted only fragments, changing the meaning, for example ignoring "when they win". It makes no sense for Sikorsky to say hi government which was near the end of second term will screw up relationship with Germany and give a blowjob to USA, when his party and his foreign policy was EU-centered. It makes total sense that he was speaking about then-opposition PIS - because it's exactly what they did :).

@Dearly Diane how was it a lie? He perfectly described PIS foreign policy (screw up European position of Poland and give a blow job to USA). PO foreign policy was the opposite - focusing on Germany and EU more. Why would he criticize himself for doing something he haven't done?
Besides, there's a complete recording, just listen to it :) Wprost cut the transcript to make PO look bad, removing the "when they[PIS] win" part.

I present to you the man who did nothing good for his own country. Applause.
Today on the Channel 4 News Radosław Sikorski (has American citizenship) gave his opinion about political situation in Poland. He spoke about the Polish government.
It should be recalled that when his party was ruling in Poland, people had nothing to eat and emigrated to Western Europe and the UK. His friend from the party, Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski (he has British citizenship), said to Poles "there is no money and there will be no money". Radosław Sikorski's party led Poland to extreme poverty. There was huge unemployment and low wages and high prices. There were no social programs for poor people. During their rule, over 3 million people emigrated from Poland. During the reign of Sikorsky`s party, criminals took out huge amounts of money from the Poland through VAT carousels. Poland had huge budget deficit.
During Sikorski's rule, the judges were on his phone. However, no one protested, because the judges had enormous privileges. Also the whole of Europe (France, Nederland and Germany) could do business in Poland unfavorable interests for Poland.
As far as the judiciary is concerned, in Germany, after the fall of communism, eastern Germany (which was behind the "iron curtain") 70% of communist judges was dismissed. In Poland, all communist judges remained in their positions. Additionally, judges who were in the service of communists still rule in Poland. Poland is now becoming a strong independent country and the Germans do not like it. The Germans can no longer buy Polish companies cheaply and they do not have cheap labor from Poland. History has shown that the Germans never liked it when Poland was strong and it still is. That's why they buy Polish politicians to lobby for German interests in Poland.
Now Sikorski and his friends can`t they cannot accept the democratic choice of Poles who voted for the current government. Therefore, with the help of propaganda, they want to show Poles and Poland in the worst possible light.
He hasn't got American citizenship. He had Brithish passport which he renounced in 2006.
