Spent an hour and a half staring at some random guy in the background of Matt's shot. I can't help myself.
So incredibly insignificant but now you’ll give Matt a panic attack thinking people will now tune out. Matt! Chill 😅
I'm only about 8 minutes in and nobody has mentioned the creeper in the corner behind Matt. If I were having a conversation with my friends on camera and that was going on he would get roasted. Just saying.

Matt is so spicy toward Freddy. Definitely not the same tone as other guests.
He kind of gets that way whenever someone is doing something he’s either not fully convinced of or just doesn’t understand. Then he almost appears frustrated at times when people don’t agree with why he thinks that. Matt seems like a nice dude but he projects a lot of shit sometimes for whatever reason.
It leveled out in the back half of the episode. I was originally thinking it was like best buddy banter but your explanation seems pretty spot on.

I'm not an expert, but my understanding of Hot-shot trucking is basically over the road transportation of any kind that is time sensitive and done with medium-duty (basically not a semi-truck/trailer) trucks and flatbed trailers, or I guess in this case a medium duty van full of medical supplies.
Freddy you made that car fly. That alone tops all other.
2.5 mil views cause Freddy is a great guy and good entertainment. Started at bottom going for broke on a burnt lambo and turned into what he is today. Earned it!

Okay, this is getting kind of weird. This is like the 10th guest on the show that I thought to myself "it would be awesome if TST had this person on" and then it just happens. Gordon Murray, The Stig, Iain Tyrrell and now Tavarish (to name a few). Best podcast ever!
In re: that NSX and panel replacements. In classic aviation it's called a name plate restoration. Sometimes everything has to be rebuilt, replaced, and re-made from the ground up. In the end, is the car/airplane, still the same spec, the same size, the same in every way as the original? Then you've just restored the car.

I had no idea the plans for the p1 were quite so lofty. I've been a fan since reading Tavarish's work at Jalopnik, but he's got next-level dreams and just the right blend of passion, knowledge, and not knowing when he should say no, to pull that kinda $hit off. Effing legend.

A thing that makes almost scream to the screen, every time I watch a new P1 video from Fred, it's the car not being yet washed with fresh water to remove the most salt possible. It should been the very first thing to do.

I like GTRs but the older Skyline based ones were more interestinf for a few reasons. Nissan makes weird cost related decisions, like the new Z which is beautiful but a 370z with a makeover lol. That said, for racing even circuit racing that the Japanese does, the R35 was still quite dominant til Toyota returned afaik. So it was heavy and didnt look the best stock but made a damn good race car. Tho the GTR50 was a beautiful version, ironically designe dby Japanese and Americans, which i usually dont like.

I have a sprinter for work. 170inch wheelbase tall cab. V6 diesel. I have unbelievable issues with soot building in the egr valve. It’s ridiculous.

Batteries shouldn't be that expensive, even for a P1. With modern cells, surely you can not make a batteries with double the range, similar weight and same power? And yeah, smaller with same power as well.
I've since seen the Rich Rebuilds video and I hope you guys get one together yourselves.
As far as replacing everything; it's been done for years. There are Ferraris and Bugattis worth gazillions built from scratch in the 70s from a cross-member with a serial number on it.

How is Freddie's P1 not going to be considered a kit car after you change motor, body, drivetrain, seats, etc.? Especially if you take out the hybrid drive, I just don't see how it's the same car - the ethos is lost really.
