Totally agree. You can study those books & practice doing the complete opposite of what those books say & be falsely accused. I.e. A book may say when a person answers you by looking up & to the left means they're lying. If I look up & to the left while telling you the truth after reading that am I still lying?..smh.

It's call deflecting. It's a minapulation and control tactic used by the guilty person trying to get you to stop and see them as a victim. Being overly defensive is a sign of guilt. His behavior was like a kid who just got caught and trying to talk their way out getting in trouble. It's classic of a narcissist being called out with the truth. He's seeking to manipulate and control the opinions of the viewers as he being the victim and not the villian. Great acting and he knew exactly what he was doing. If you've ever have to dealt with a narc....this behavior is inevitable if you are the healthy partner going into conflict with one. They all act the same.
