I still don't understand the hype around the 76ers. Embid & Paul consistently struggle to stay on the floor, plus they seem to get exposed during the playoffs. Can they even make a deep run in the playoffs being healthy, is the bigger question.

I usually discount the Sixers, but Tyrese Maxey is the reason I take them more seriously. He is only 23 and can definitely step up more in the future. That being said if they can't keep Embiid on the court they're not going anywhere.

I agree with Windy. The 76ers are overhyped. They haven’t proved anything yet. Potential is an insult. It’s an insult to the teams that have killed it and proved it. Celtics, Knicks, Pacers, and to a lesser degree the Bucks are better than the 76ers. The Magic and Cavs can be thrown in too. It’s ridiculous to keep going off what ifs for the 6ers every year. The 76ers are most likely 5th at best until otherwise shown.

I’m a Celtics fan and I think that the Milwaukee Bucks is the biggest threat when Giannis is healthy.
While other teams re shuffling their cards, the Celtics is running it back. This looks like a back2back.

This season will be big for Embiid and his legacy. With every playoff comes excuses and lack of accountability. There are no more excuses to be made. You got two star support players, you got your MVP award. If they fail to make at least the ECF, it'll be an embarrassment.

Celtics resigned everyone back n added players that can play right away in the draft. They're also doing a great job building young guys from G league. No rush for Porzingis, Al can play every other games. Crazy Celtics can rest people n still have the best record next year. Presti n OKC great job very intriguing would like more to know about their young talented team.
I think the knicks are heavy in wing positions and this may come back to bite them. They were guard heavy a few years ago and they were just stuck.
Wings are more versatile...the celtics won the championship with wing/larger guard lineups

We’ve seen the 3 stars thing. It doesn’t work cause you need 4 Thur at least 7 be good player. Most teams need 9 guys to get Thur a season. I’m certainly not high on a Philly team whose only reliable non-injury prone player is maxey. I can’t see them being better than when harden was there. But that’s why you play the games.

I disagree with Monica. PG is coming in as a third guy, he’s not a center piece factor in this case. It’s an additional starter. Boston last year added 2 of their four starters - porzingas and holiday and won a championship. The sixers have maxey and Embiid their two cornerstones, like Derrick white they are bringing back Kelly oubre and added Paul George and Caleb martin to the starting line up.

I genuinely think if the 76ers ever made it to an NBA finals led by Joel Embiid it would be one of the most watched finals of all time no matter who they play. Embiid may be the most polarizing player in the league right now. I don't think anyone has more haters than Embiid. Will that ever happen though? Not looking likely

Its a lot of money for Boston to pay hopefully for there fans the new owner is willing to pay it.
If Porzingus is healthy, Celts clear #1. They could just cruise and show up for the playoffs. 2 and 3 between NY and Milwaukee if Giannis is healthy. PG is overrated like they say. If he can play fast like Maxey they’ll be okay, but in a half court set the ball goes through Embiid. If he can play off Embiid without taking away Embiid’s touches they’ll be okay. If he starts playing iso again and Embiid doesn’t get going they’ll lose. Then it’ll be a log jam again with Philly, Indiana, Cleveland, Orlando depending on what other moves are made.

The Windy George slander isn't accurate. George took the Clippers to the WCF on his own like 3 years ago, Kawhi hasn't finished a series since before that time. Their failures were more so on K Leonard and George helped them reach a franchise milestone without him. Now George is a clear all star yet still a clear 3rd option.
