    17:10, Nice I guess, but when I have to change lighter because the gas runs out? How do you transfer this invention to the new lighter? Maybe an idea is to use a rechargeable lighter? As it doesn’t seem like you did.

      At least the incandescent light will work, inefficiently. But charging a phone with 230V DC when all it needs is 5V DC? What a waste.

      Yep my thoughts exactly. He has high voltage but it is dc not ac. That led bulb and phone charger would not work but the incandescent bulb would.

    1:26 you know that you need AC(alternating current) to charge your phone and not DC(direct current) because the charger is made to convert 220V,120V AC to 5V DC
    this is just dumb

      Actually shouldn't make a difference with devices like a phone charger.
      For some devices you can't just exchange it to DC but the rectifier in the wall adapter of a phone charger just becomes obsolete if you run it on DC directly but in functionality there's no difference. Especially as most of these chargers use full bridge rectifiers to convert the whole sine wave to DC anyway so there's no real change to the components after it.

      it actually recharge it self if he just turn it off, motors can recharge them batteries but i'm not really sure if it needs a special board to allow that

    1:27 This makes absolutley sense. Instead of charging the Phone directly with only one 9 V batterie, i put 24 of them togehter to get 220V, put in a power adapter to get 5 V out of a USB cable and wondering why it will not charge. As you see you need AC Power like many other electrical appliances. Batteries deliver DC power.

      Additionally, I know how long batteries of this type last. Your AC will deliver power indefinitely... but, in a blackout may be helpful for a few hours or less

      it's too bad the first experiment that he did doesn't actually work in practice. you can't power AC devices with DC. that's why you never see anybody actually doing this because it physically doesn't work.

      @@pizzainc.1465 Mains voltage is AC,but batteries are DC.Charger works because it's AC to DC converter so it doesnt matter you plug it into dc or ac.Problem is that motors need ac voltage to work properly or they blow up

    The battery hack with 24 9vdc batteries is flawed. You show 24 x 9 vdc = 216 vdc, then you connect an AC plug to it. Good way to screw up electronics, mixing AC and DC. Especially when you take a 110vac usb adapter and connect it to an electronic device that requires 5-9 vdc.
