PSR S970 New features: Real time controller, Arpeggiator and Retrigger Sounds Awesome (which only Motif and other synth keyboard had) Guitar input is a good idea :)
Color: There should be color options, I dont like Black, Silver looks better.
yes I know, mostly all features are there on PSR S950 but the new one i.e Real time controller, Arpeggiator and Retrigger and Guitar input is a good idea on PSR S970 :)
Great keyboard and love it but why not 76 keys option likes Tyros 5 had it.
Some nice sounds there. How's the key touch sensitivity? The sensitivity on the PSR S-950 was so unappealing I decided not to buy it. My Tyros 2 had far better sensitivity. Of course you can never tell until you run a few tests on it. What is your opinion?

Is there a way to control level parameters of the 975 from a MIDI controller, like the Korg Kontrol mini controller. Basically,I want to assign style and part levels (and maybe cutoffs, knob parameters) to an external physical knob and slider controller that I could quickly manipulate part levels. Thanks.
Having apps only for Apple products doesn't make you a great choice. Everyone knows that Apple is expensive. Yes, I love Yamaha instruments but I dont use Apple products. Should I buy IPad or some other things from Apple only for having Chord Tracker? Well,no..I wont do it. For a lot of reasons. So, think a little bit more wisely if you want to sell more instruments.
Yeah, i am not an Apple user so that limits me to after market apks to emulate chord tracker. which are risky. Why cant Yamaha wrte an app which is cross platform?

I will to set tempo of a preset style into my design but always goes back to default. How can I setup tempo so preset drum will stay that way?

Yamaha you have done good job in arranger workstation but truly speaking after psr 3000 and s910 now your models s 950 and s 970 are just sounding good on their own speakers.... Which as a professional I have experienced on many good PA systems and I have noticed that these 2 last models have too much bass in output and no proper highs and mid's... Main sound Piano is just sounding rubbish if I compare live grand piano which was given on s910 and 3000 was better than concert grand or what you say super articulated piano ... ????? I think you guys have laid much focus on guitar tones in 970 than giving a good quality overall package of tones.... Please Yamaha give us the same sound engine which was given on 3000 with all the features you have added as a upgrade on the latest models than nobody in this business will stand in competition with you... Sir please help me, I want to Split the Voice and want to register in memory 1, then I want to Split Another another voice and want to save in Memory 2, but when I am pressing 1 memory split point remains same in all 8 memories. Please tell me how to save different spit voice on different 8 memories
hey everybody, is anyone familiar with the S750? I'm trying to export a recorded performance (my father's keyboard) and i would like to know what the best way is to go about exporting from the S750 to wav in Logic Pro X. Is it possible to export to a multitrack performance (or even to just a stereo file) over usb, or is it better to export to wav inside of the keyboard? I can't find anything about this in the manual, it refers me to their website where i can't find anything. Any help or a link to a solution to this problem would be highly appreciated. I haven't got a clue where i can find any of this inside the keyboard. Thanks a lot.

Wish all the arranger Yamaha keyboard read same file of everything specially the Exspansion file. Between PPI and PPF or YEP.
This is an amazing keyboard, but one thing that yamaha failed on is the key action, keys feel to cheap for a $2000 keyboard. But overall all the inside features this is keyboard is a keeper.

OMG, has Yamaha done that again? They did it with the 950, but I was hoping the 970 would have greater touch sensitivity in the keys. I won't buy it unless it's at least as sensitive as my Tyros 2... which is excellent.

Norman Fernandez android unfortunately has a considerable lag problem compared to iOS devices.
That's why all the best keyboard and synth apps are iOS only.
This isn't a Yamaha problem but rather an android deficiency.

The Ipad has to do the chord processing because it has much better processor than the keyboard itself.

i have mox8 and am not happy with it because it is so complicated. This keyboard seems complicated altho it has a much bigger screen and buttons to get to what sounds i want. i see it costs more than the mox8

Hello, may I ask you a question? How can I change a style and keep the same speed? When I make this change the style changes the speed, but I want it to stay the same. Please, help me.
First, you have to save your style choices in the registration memory. You can change the styles using the registration memory buttons with your assigned styles without changing the tempo.
Can anyone tell me the difference between PSR - S 970 and A 3000 models, please?
3000 have international different styles such as Arabic style Turkish style Indian. more verity of other cultures music
Hai guys i ust purchased the psr s-970 the only thing I can not figure out is how i adjust the balance between the different sounds in the different styles lets say i want to adjust the base down and piano up and perhaps brass lower does the psr 970 do that i did it on my old tecknics keyboard kn7000

The psr 970 is fantastic keyboard not onley to play on but work With it and make midi Music i can download New styles and New sounds and i have downloaded pipeorgans in stereo and many more the vocalcorder is Nice i can sing and have dual dual voices and record it as wave file I can recommend it to anyone it is fantastic and it has live programable nobs sorrey for my bad inglish im norwegian

Does the new keyboard still have the same cheap crappy feeling keyboard as the previous PSR S models? I certainly hope that they have improved the keyboard action. And still why no aftertouch?

+JsaephanhMienMusic I played both a 970 and 770 at my local music emporium. The keyboard action is very disappointing on both. The competing Korg PA900 has a much nicer keyboard feel with after touch. But I love the acoustic sounds on the Yamaha s. And why oh why does Yamaha insist on using revolting external power supplies on a supposedly professional keyboard????
+SLOVENEC1972 i have the psrs950, i like it, its good for what i do, but I was expecting much more from Yamaha here, no real upgrades , and the styles, i am starting to think Yamaha is slipping, for example, the Bachata they have in the styles has not been upgraded ,and its not really Latin Bachata, ,There is room for many upgrades on the previous styles, sorry, this one is a disappointment to me

very good demo, congratulations to the demonstrator, but passono years and arrangers Yamaha drums (I speak for those midi) both psr and both tyros are a real crap. not at all up .....

I just wrote a few uncomplimentary words about the PSR S-950's and the S-970's poor touch sensitivity, and you know what? My post was deleted! I looked carefully thru them all, and mine was missing! Is it possible that CZcams is being paid by Yamaha to delete "negative" comments about it's keyboards? Maybe Yamaha doesn't believe in freedom of the press. I intend to post THIS one everywhere possible, in retaliation!
Touch sensitivity is adjustable in the settings.

I wish this guy would play less and explain how the keyboard works more. This is probably the worst demo I have seen. I love the sounds but would love to learn how to use it.
The audio styles reminds of the old days Yamaha keyboards... when you couldn't create anything close to the demo songs using the keyboard itself. This keyboard is toy. Designed for a weak musician. Can you recreate the audio styles on the keyboard itself? NO.
