Just be careful with your cooling and the spotties. The large ones can block the airflow big time, and you won't even notice without an EGT.

Love that bar. I put my Landy on the scales at the tip and with all almost all my gear fitted I came in at 2.1t my gvm is 2.76. I have zero luxury though😁

Looks great mate! Be careful of the gap between the bar and the front guards, the bar will move a lot on corrugations etc and could contact the body if the gap is too small.

I wonder how receptive Toyota would have been if you didn't have social media involvement. To see them do this is great but to hear them do this for an ordinary punter off the street would speak volumes for their integrity.

I think the average Joe would have got a bill for another $600, no shits given and told more bull shit. I picked my troopy up from Toyota after a recall and had to use the hand break at the first set of lights going home, no breaks at all... U turn back to toyota as they didn't blead the lines... They didn't give a shit, no apology or anything. I mean who sells a car with 100mm offset to the rears anyway? I still like it.

Hey mate, the only thing I had to be careful of with my GVM upgrade is I went over my front axle loading capacity. With the bar the bash plates winch etc etc. might be worth weighing the front axle. Pedders have a great system for weighing.

Uniden 8080 (got mine in 2013) has replay. Will replay last 1 minute of recieved transmissions, even multiple calls. Its weird turning on the uhf after a night camping and playing back yesterdays calls to your mayes packing up camp....

Staying under GVM is important, but check the axle weight limits or axle capacity. You might be under GVM but over on one axle, typically the front. Check at the local weigh bridge...front wheels only then rear wheels only, see what you get.
Good call. Thankfully (sort of) I have a lot of weight behind the rear axle which will pull some of it off the front- I also don’t have scrub bars or dual batteries which add a ton if weight there. But I will get both ends weighed once it has the other heavy bits bolted on

great that you discuss GVM. for the prado ( and towing) have you considered maximum rear axle load? particular tow ball weight/rear axle over hang calculation?

I bought the 2021 Prado diesel VX. Same color. You made it look too good. Same everything. I'm upgrading the snot out of it. $15,000 USD with of upgrades. BUT*** We only have TJM XGS 4000 w/ 2 inch lift. There are no reviews on the internet for a Prado. Can I get some of your thoughts????? I live off-road in the deserts of Mongolia.

Make sure you get your wheel alignment checked Harry. The extra added weight on the front will make a big difference. Wouldn't want you to chew your front tyres out.

The Uniden UH9080 has the playback function.
The uniden 8080s also has the ability to monitor two channels at once as well as playback function. Everyone saying the oricom was one of the first to do it with its two channels at once thing it does.....
Slight correction Harry. Those channels you program into the XRS are receive only, you can't transmit on them to ask for help.

Assuming you've had the ECU update from Toyota as the fix for the oil parameter issues? Changing the oil was a temporary fix as you said. But probably a good change for up in the Kimberly. 👍🏻

Amber covers are awesome for those long night drives, road signs reflect alot with normal white lights, so your eyes are not strained with the ambers
Amber cover or light are design for snow fall and rain no to use out of this condition
@@abazdarhon Amber supposedly works best for dust. It's why you see offroad racers with rear amber lights for collision prevention.

Bar looks great, the build is coming along very nicely! Out of interest, have you had any issues with the cruise control radar? I noticed that you removed the radiator grille (where the radar is located) to fit the bull bar and obviously with the considerable extra front end weight you’ve now added, along with bigger tyres, suspension lift etc. I wonder if you’ll need to get the radar re-calibrated at some stage.

Crashed my dmax at 100km per hour on the hwy after some airhead pulled a youturn right into me. My afn bar copped the impact on the left wing, it didnt move at all, held its shape and didnt smash into any panels. Afn is strong as.
Does it have scrub bars? Sounds like a miracle.
@@Malc664 no scrub bars the only "mod" i did was put two pin bolts in it to negate the elongated holes. Just real life afn bar experience. Not hear say from my mums cousins sisters brothers dads cousin said so.....

Hey. Nice Prado! Quick question did you have any more rubbings on your stock bumper after you trim it a bit? Reason I asked is i’m also going for some mods on my Prado 150 now. Will put 2” lift and same wheels as you plus tyres 285/70/17. I was just wondering should I change a stock bumper also or just trim it and it will be fine.
Trimming and wheel alignment is all I needed mate

Also how have you set them up. One line for each side or linked together
65 is the max and they are independently controlled
